Reddit ITKs

There's been a problem with leaks at United for some time now - just a general point, not saying it proves these ITK types have legit sources of information.

The lineup leaks being the most obvious example - something Ole himself mentioned explicitly in one of the last pressers this season.

I don't remember. He isn't the guy who also knew about the Kohler deal and said the same source told him Griezmann was a done deal. He might have said United were interested in Griezmann, which we probably were at one point. He has also said we were interested in Alderweireld and Bale in the past, which again we probably were. As far as I know he has never said a deal has been agreed or an announcement is imminent and been wrong. He doesn't post that much and when he does he tends to stick to his stories and say things that make sense, which is completely different to most ITKs. I don't consider any unofficial source to be completely reliable but he's literally the only United ITK I've ever seen that isn't an obvious bullshitter.

Either Darmian will leave this summer, or he will stay, this spoof really knows his stuff I see.
 
What's with the constant Umtiti stuff? The guy is obviously the next Hargreaves.

Not getting into the credibility or not of these guys - I don't have a clue - but that's not what he said about Darmian.
Mock by all means but should at least mock accurately.
 
I see the Sancho stuff has done a figure of 8, also there's a lot of 'growing belief in Carrington' sounds like a journalist, this guy/girl knows sod all.

He played about 6 games last season and there's repeated italian interest.

Ship him off for a few mill for rucks sake.
Otherwise we'll put a few mill into his wages then lose him for free anyway.

If true, makes our decision to reject offers and hold out for £20M last summer even worse.

We have done well from our last couple of sales, it's about time we stand our ground and not to give away our players for peanuts.

If it means him staying for another year then so be it and those Italian teams can go feck themselves if they still think they can shop at Harrods for Asda prices

If he's not going to play, and we're not going to sell him, then we're just losing money. It's stupidity.

Now if he's in the manager's plans, that's another story (although IMO he's not good enough).

Think about long term effect if we continue getting rid of unwanted players for nothing.

Yeah it's good we're making stands on some players. Like Lukaku for instance. It'd be insane to let him go for a huge loss. And we're not loaning anyone, and paying loads of their wad - that's a mug's game.

But 20m for Darmian is as ludicrous as the 30m quoted for Rojo.
Both of these lads are utter deadweight, are probably earning 3-4m a year each, and are of next to zero benefit. Their 6-10 appearances a year each should go to youth lads.

It's when we're in early July, all of these lads have signed elsewhere while we're busy "briefing" that we were never in for any of them, that my current calm mood will turn to real fear that like last year we're going in absolutely woefully unprepared again, and a scuffle for 5th will be the best case - for a wildly optimistic year.

I think Darmian was quoted at around 15m which is a fair amount for Italy international defender.

And 30m for Rojo was a fair price and of course he isn't worth that now.

30m wasn't a fair price for Rojo. It was wildly optimistic, hence no one being stupid enough to go for it.

On paper, yes I can see it with Darmian, but a player who is clearly so limited, and barely plays reduces in value massively.

I am loosely linked to a source inside the club and found out last night that the Hoogewerf and De Ligt transfers are included under the same fee. It's a joint deal but De Ligt can't be announced yet for commercial and other reasons. According to them, personal terms have been agreed.

You know what that means on Reddit right? That means he's not willing to take "the tier test" which is essentially messaging one of the mods about their source so that they can give their own assessment of his reliability whilst keeping the source private.

Seems legit, can we tie up a deal for a world record teenage defender, and throw in a kid no one has heard of into the same deal, that we'll for some reason announce 2 weeks before the main guy.

They just think - right, the premise is De Ligt to United...and just concoct utter bollox around it.

The "media campaign" of Deligt with the g as a low 5 was my favourite.

Isn’t Hoogewerf basically signing for United because he’s rejected the offer of a first professional contract?

He’s effectively a free agent therefore Ajax have nothing to do with it. He just rejects their offer and signs professional terms with us.
