Admin of the sub has become smart. So randomly they will publish report that is reported elsewhere as being "held back to stop piggy banking" and use it to improve credibility of one of the ITK. Also almost every post is so vague so that they can instantly deny if it doesn't happen. It's a great sham and now they have found a way to keep it going and avoid the last transfer window disaster.

One of the best examples of how/why someone in charge of a forum like that would hide/withhold information is a case like that of the caf's very own BenitoSTARR.
Sidenote: Even something as seemingly as innocent as the particular time a source knew the info can identify them. Providing they're running their operation correctly, considering that those mods don't take such measures - 'we have a new claim but we have to sit on it' - for the vast majority of their releases actually highlights the occasions when they do. What they're actually saying is: we could prove when we got this if we wanted to. After the recent mini-backlash of you-plonkers-anyone-can-say-we-actually-knew-this-we-just-waited-for-confirmation they explained that they keep timestamps of all claims with their content on the admin discord and as such can provide proof if ever required.

Regarding the bolded part, literally everyone posting in here does the same. Ironically it's actually the most rabid naysayers who are taking it the most seriously.
It's just another potential avenue for accurate info. Last year during De Ligt it was horrible but it's not horrible now.

The entire exercise is embarrassing and for me, highlights some more serious issues. How can anyone be ‘selling’ transfer ‘news’(gossip) when whatever the truth, all will be revealed within a matter of weeks anyway? Like, there is actually a set date by which we will know beyond all reasonable doubt whether we will be signing Sancho, Grealish or whoever. Yet before that date, there’s an almighty battle for credibility and scraps of info amongst charlatans which is pointless because even if true, perhaps one human knows something a few days before others know. That’s the most people get out of this thirst or scramble for ITK gossip. And even if told by a trusted source, you still don’t really ‘know’, and are obligated to reserve judgement until someone more official confirms it anyway. But at least you get to say ‘ITK 50 mentioned this a week ago’. So fecking what?
I have to question this as feck all has come true as far as I can see.
That ITK 4 is absolutely shocking. He’s apparently got the inside scoop at every single club across Europe.
These have pretty much all turned out wrong too. Even the easiest stuff to be ITK about with youth players while additionally playing it broad with Benfica and Belgian, they still got it wrong.

Perhaps people are paying to receive the news first so that they can bet on it whilst the odds are good and before it becomes more widespread?
If these people are silly enough to pay money to receive this news and take random people on Reddit seriously, then they will be silly enough to place bets on it too.

I used to check them out consistently until that Haaland transfer were I think all of them just got it flat wrong. Quite easy to see that they are just following media news and adding logic to come up with their information.

I doubt it. It’s clear to me that betting is not a relevant factor in all this. It is just the glee of transfer news, to which everyone is equal on the first day of the new season anyway, when every team’s squad is there for all to see.
I listened to a bit of the 'Muppetiers Podcast' for about 2 minutes and could no longer handle the cringe.

Conveniently left out all the stuff that's come true. Still, Chelsea to Coutinho is a rumour that has picked up since this.
I don't wanna make excuses for the guy but we all know that the football transfer market is a volatile and ever-changing thing, especially with COVID stuff. That, combined with the nature of this source being one that hears a lot of rumours, often true, sometimes obfuscated, means that this source (as with any!) should be treated with caution.
I think any source that isn't at boardroom level is gonna get stuff wrong at least 50% of the time anyway, so even if one did believe that the ITK is well placed, they should still treat it with caution.
Yep, we have receipts too. Asked us not to share it until relevant, it was a good verifier.
A few things with this one:
- Patreon subscribers (patrons?) very very very occasionally get something a little early. No 'big' things, only less reliable rumours, or unimportant stuff. We're not withholding stuff behind a paywall.
- Not lying, only passing on what we're told.
- Only a handful of people have signed up to the patreon, we're not making a huge profit (I'm not sure we're making a profit at all?) and the money goes towards website hosting and any extra will go towards things like kit giveaways
- People like to have the quieter chat rooms, and they like supporting a community they enjoy. I don't think the early access stuff is the incentive for people signing up, might be wrong though.

If the ITKs that send us stuff make it up, then that's on them, not us. We do make an effort to verify as much as we can. We get sent new stuff all the time and avoid posting it until that source gets a few things right. We also stress that everything should be taken with a pinch of salt, as I said above.

You can’t have an echo chamber in this thread. If the ‘info’ these so called ITK’s provide is pure figment of their imagination then I think posters can rightly point that out. If those guys think it’s okay to start charging naive people for that very same information then they should be called out on it too.
Most people who have itk information like @Rozay etc. Just hear it, explain where it came from and pass it on and move on. None of this daily update bollocks.
