I was born in '88 but I've seen quite a bit of the old legends. Both on my local sports channel and MUTV there have been a lot of old footage and games. Also Youtube.I was born in 93. Could we maybe have a separate thread for current era? I doubt many here ever saw Best, Law and Charlton let alone Duncan Edwards.
I feel awful about it myself. But, imo, Giggs was never as influential as the players that I mentioned - even if he beats them all on longevityDe Gea :/ and you left giggs out. The mind boggles.

It's impossible to pick the list of 10 players in Man United history and didn't leave anyone behind.

Isn't it JOHNNY Carey? That's an unfortunate point at which to get his name wrong.
Guys if Best is in your list he should be top of your list.
I'll do that too, should be a criteria for this vote imo.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo @FC Ronaldo - Viva
2. Roy Keane
3. Rio Ferdinand
4. Ryan Giggs
5. Paul Scholes
6. David de Gea
7. Patrice Evra
8. Gary Neville
9. Ruud van Nistelrooy
10. David Beckham
Giggs is overrated on here. And Keane criminally underrated. It's as if folk have forgotten the 90s.

Yes, I remember there was a brilliant thread here that counted all of his assists for us - and it looks like he is, by a considerable margin, the best assist maker in EPL history - and quite possible in Man United history, too bad that there are no assist stats from before 2000 (or even later). As I said, it was incredibly hard for me to leave him out, but I can't replace any of the players that I picked for that top 10.His service has been immense though, he remained consistently good for an incredible amount of time. I don't entirely disagree though, I remember a popular discussion amongst United fans back when Giggs was in his prime was that he didn't score enough goals. For a player as fast and as skilful as he was, he should have scored far more.
Schweini? For pre-United achievements?Personal favourites, only counting players who I have watched consistently in my lifetime:
1. Ronaldo
2. Valencia
3. Evra
4. Park ji Sung
5. Rio
6. Vidic
7. Saha
8. di Maria
9. Schweinsteiger
10. de Gea
...
probably.
