I've seen it all yeah. 1 - 3 is the golden era. Season 4 is ok but takes a while to come together and Season 5 is just bad. IIRC they extended the length of the episodes which didn't help.

That's what I suspected - seems like they did a huge mistake there. Shame, but we'll always have 1-3.

For me, I reckon Sopranos or Band Of Brothers. Both have loads of votes. Haven't seen Sopranos. Did attempt to see B.O.B but I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the characters when in army gear and gave up. Might need to try it again. I just don't like war films because I find it difficult to tell who is who.

As for BoB it might take some time but it definitely pays off. There are plenty of scenes with them in between the action with helmets off and stuff and you get to know the difference. I think some of it is also purposeful during action sequences. It was absolute chaos at times and blind luck over who lived or died.

If you want to separate, I'd rather use Rotten Tomatoes than IMDB. IMDB is sketchy for some shows.
