Is it fair game to mock people mercilessly for their choices? Purely hypothetically, if I wanted to call someone a raging psychopath for voting for Big Bang Theory?
Go get him @nimic !

It’s hard to champion shows like Lost, GoT, True Detective, Stranger Things, and others that started out brilliantly but ended up steaming piles of poop.
My excuse for True Detective was that the seasons weren’t connected in any form - and because S1 was brilliant.

Interesting enough i didnt see a single mention of Andor wich is the best tv show of all Star Wars related shows.. also severe lack of a comedy shows. They were at their peak in the 90s so may be thats why..
True. I was thinking about it but I‘m not sure anymore that Andor felt awesome quite a bit because everything StarWars related stunk up the place big time in a long time (Rogue Squadron being the exception and Mandalorian was boring imho) + it lacked a bit controversy / risky stuff to feel like something new. Can‘t wait for S2 though!

While I included them myself, I struggle judging the Simpsons. The first ten seasons are my favourite show ever. To me that’s the peak of comedy on tv. But at the same time, that’s now only a third of the whole show. And the other thirds are bad. Really bad. I guess I included them because ten seasons is quite much.
At the same time I didn’t include True Detective, because I only like a single season of that show (even though that’s brilliant).

I followed the same logic as you. Game of Thrones is probably my favorite TV series of all time up until a certain point but then it all went to shit. Like you I also loved the first season of True Detective, but I hated the second season and thought that the third season was rather forgettable.

I guess there needs to be enough of a show to make it feel like a significant amount. But it’s still weird to include a show like the Simpsons, that’s been crap for more than 20 years.

I had the same reservations with Coronation Street. Gone are the good ol' days of Blanche giving Audrey an earful in the Cabin as Norris watches on, twitching in delight. Fred Elliot banging on about his fillet steaks, I say Fred Elliot banging on about his fillet steaks. Jim MacDonald coming back, robbing a bank, getting sent down and spending the majority of his prison sentence being a guest panelist on GB News, so he is. It's just not the same.

Ok all votes tallied and groups have been made. Will not accept any more votes. Thank you.

It made it into my list and quite highly at that, though the order doesn't matter at this stage and had more to do with keeping track of the quantity...

I skipped andor and most modern shows that haven't finished basically. They need a few strong seasons and to avoid a Game of Thrones season 8 finish to compete against older shows in my opinion. I cant imagine Severance and Silo being as interesting once they start answering questions - just the nature of the show that the answer wont be as interesting as the question.
Still, 3 good shows at this point.
