Got side-tracked doing other stuff. Wow last frame shootout and advantage Bingham.

The cream has risen to the top, best two players of the tournament in the final. I think Bingham is edging it slightly but Murphy has the experience. Should be a cracker.

Binghams done well, was cold as ice against Trump but no way he beats Fatty in the final though, nerves/occasion has to kick in sooner or later. Reckon Trump would have owned Murphy though.

He did it after all! Awesome stuff.

One negative is I don't have a clear favourite in final, wouldn't mind anyone to win. Smurph still a favourite.

Fantastic start for Murphy. Bingham really needs to get this frame if he stands any chance at all. If it goes 4-0 then it is game over already.

Would like Binham to win this. I think this may be his only shot at it. Murphy will have other opportunities.

This "Ton Up!" Business is embarrassing.

Yeah, this will more than likely be Bingham's only crack at it. He has played some great stuff and his individual highlight reel will have many shots in the actual shots of the tournament. Still, this should be Murphy's all the way. The past year or so he has been on the money and he will get his second title tomorrow. Bingham can dominate people just by his presence but he can't do that against Murphy as he does the same but with a greater skill-set.

Twice now Bingham has gone for a tricky pot in that bottom right bag and missed. Murphy looks to punish him again. He can't be taking on shots like that and leaving Murphy in the way he is cuing at the tournament.

A bit of a scrappy frame here, although Bingham managing some impressive safety shots as well.

Good points but if the Bingham turns up that played Ronnie or Trump, I don't think it will be as cut and dried as some may think for Murphy. Agree though he is favourite. Shaping up to be a great final as well:)

Cracking effort from Bingham in this little mini-session. Should make it 4-4 providing he doesn't give away needless snookers like he did in that frame against Judd. Hopefully it stays close for the next two sessions so it goes on until Monday evening.

Bingham's certainly got a fair bit of fight in him.

Could do with at least a 5-3 to Murphy in this next session. A little more composure from him is needed. He likes to go for it and get his nose ahead but Bingham has over 35 centuries this season and throughout this tournament he has been knocking in loads of 50 plus breaks so he needs to steady himself a little more and not leave easy chances. Come on Murphy!

Why are you doing this?

On top of it all, Bingham comes across as a solid bloke. A really easy to route for underdog who has obviously worked his bollocks off and knuckled down to get where he is now. I can't imagine what it would mean to him to win a world title.

I don't know. I think he is a refined chap, and to steal your words - a solid bloke. The guy does a great amount of work for charity, as you can see from his emblem that he wears often. Gone over to Zimbabwee to do some work over there. I can see why he winds some people up on the circuit as he is straight down the line and likes things done proper. I read your comment about what some player has said about him, but he gets on with a lot of snooker players as you will see from what pictures his coach posts on twitter. He is also really good mates with Bingham.

I agree with what you have said about Bingham, and even though he isn't my favourite player he has gone up greatly in my eyes from this tournament. I've always like his graft and determination, lacks a little of skill but deserves his chance. I've liked his emotion all throughout this championship and glad he has got his shot. Wouldn't begrudge him a victory as again like you have said, it would mean the world to him. Murphy is my favourite player after Ronnie, so I want him to win ultimately.

About O'Sullivan supposedly being a bit of a prick, aren't most top sportsmen like that? Or a good majority of them...

The one at the absolute top of their field have to have that edge to them IMO to be the best. Yeah Ronnie comes across a bit arrogant at times but he's the best player and he knows it. I'd say he's done/won enough to get away with acting like that which I personally don't think he's that bad. I think he's pretty likeable myself.

He doesn't have a single redeeming feature. His face suffers from a severe case of the David Camerons.

Cannot be unseen.

But I agree with you on Bingham. He's obviously worked very hard throughout his career and probably never expected to get this sort of chance after so many years. Seems quite humbled at getting this opportunity.

I think he'll struggle to beat Murphy in the end though. He's got a lot of fight in him and is obviously a very good player, but Murphy's been in superb form and will probably win in the end.

Like the 9th frame after Bingham got a 50 plus break Murphy comes in and sweeps up. Also, like the start of the final, 3-0 to Murphy in this session. At least two more now Smurf.

Another century from Murphy. Granted, Bingham handed him the frame on a plate and should've taken advantage of his great chance, but some superb play from Murphy too.

83 for the tournament, equal record from 2009.

13th for Murphy, 3 more to equal Hendry's record of 16.

It's been a great tournament. Not just in terms of centuries but it seems like a lot of plus 50 breaks have been fired in. Like the Ding v Trump match, think that had a record for most frames without the opponent scoring a single point. Think they shared something like 8 frames between them with that happening before Judd ended up smashing him.
