Redcafe Snooker

Lisowski with the first frame on the board in his match against Murphy after getting whitewashed in their last match. Also, first to pot a ball in this second. Sort it out Shaun.

Incredible snooker from the rocket, a maximum break after going close in the previous frame. All this with a broken ankle as well.

I remember watching that 4/5 min one live back in '97? When i was a student.
Seem to remember him bossing another tournament with a knackered ankle years ago. Didn't he boot over a flower pot in a rage or something once?

Thought he messed it up on that blue, then with taking the pink into the middle was a tricky shot. Cracking way to finish a whitewash with a maximum break. Oldest person to get a 147 at 39? Would've been a bit more special to get one on his birthday today. Well, maybe he can.........

McGill putting up a very good fight against the Rocket to make it 3-3. Not played anywhere near his standard of yesterday (although Colt was poor), needs to turn it up a notch or two here.

147 is not actually the highest break! The largest score possible by a single player in a single break is actually 155. This would arise if the opposing player was to foul, leaving all of the 15 red balls obscured from the cue ball, making the next shot a ‘free ball’. The player could then nominate a colour to act as a red ball. Potting this ‘red’ ball followed by the black results in an extra 8 points being gained in the break before any of the regulation balls on the table have even been potted. This score has not been officially achieved to date. The highest break recorded, of which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records, was a score of 149 by Tony Drago in 1998.

I'm well aware of that but it's extremely rare.

147s seem to be quite common nowadays. Kinda like 9 Dart finishes. Next challenge would be to do it 2 frames in a row. Or hit a 155 break.

I'm not sure if they're any more common in general, or if it's just that O'Sullivan is so ridiculously good that he gets so many of them. Might be that they are, though.

Ronnie with an early lead, 3-1

Was browsing before and found out that Jimmy White lost all 6 finals he got to in the World Championship, poor guy

Ronnie will win. Trump's been unlucky, but he blew a good chance there. Still too erratic sometimes, although an incredible potter.

You'd imagine him to now, would take quite the effort from Judd and he nearly pulled it off the last time they met in a best of 19 final. The Rocket has played great though, especially since he struggled against Bingham in the semi until he got nervous. Seems really fired up for the challenge and when he is, as showed today no-one can live with him. Take into account he is 39 too and to still have that cue action and steady head on shots is amazing. He is the Ryan Giggs of snooker in terms of fitness.

What a frame to win from Ronnie. No chance Judd is coming back now. I believe this was the exact score in their last final before Judd got it to 7-7 then Ronnie making it 10-7.

O'Sullivan with another brilliant century, 8-4. Game all but over.

About to become 9-2 to the rocket who once again shows he is a cut above the rest. Hasn't been he's best performance but still to much for Trump.

Trump really has a great shot on him but sadly that's about it.

Still be nice if he could pull a few frames back.

Judd's petulance has gotten to Ronnie here, the way Judd was walking around and looking as if he was going to throw the towel in a couple frames ago really isn't sporting.

Few men have faces as punchable as that of Judd Trump's. It's actually a skill to look that much of a smug wanker.

Making a decent comeback here to be fair to him.

He's made a match of this but again I go back to the behaviour a couple of frames ago, as an opponent that would have pissed me off.

Dennis Taylor is getting on my tits as well.

Looks like a deciding frame. Fair play to Judd but surely he isn't going to rifle off six frames on the trot. If he does it will be a great comeback.

What happened? Only caught the last three frames.

Might just be me but at 9-5 Judd body language when at the table looked like he wanted to just give up, he started to just hit and hope some what.

Surely that's something that would've arguably benefited O'Sullivan though?
