I think Si against Selby would be a really good final so hoping to see that.

Big fan of Si. He looks so calm and just seems like a nice guy unlike others in the sport.
Wow, thought Ronnie was a shoe in after that lead, but what a crash and burn!
I hope it has nothing to do with where he is from because he is very well liked by his peers.
Allen is going to be very tough to beat. I think he will beat Selby and will be the front runner in the final.
Why would it have anything to do with where he is from?
I can think of one peer who doesn't always seem to like him that well.
Si is just dominating this now, I don't really see Brecel turning this around. I know he came back from a large deficit in the last match, but you can't keep doing that.
Blown away by Si's performance in this semi thus far. Still a long way to go, but some of his potting, and especially his temperament, has been incredible considering his age. Keep thinking he can't win the World Championship, surely not. But if he keeps this up, how can anyone stop him. He's been brilliant.

I don't want a World Champion from China as, with their wealth and population advantage, I really don't want them to just take over the sport, have most winners and competitions held there, etc.
I'm amazed we're not farther down the track with that. And while Covid / the match fixing charges have slowed it down further, I think having a World Champion, or a #1 ranked player dominating, would be a huge step to it happening.
Ironically, this was the first tournament for years that I didn't really consider it an option - especially after Ding's first round exit. Didn't see this happening from Si at all.
it's been a pretty sh*t season for me results wise, with most of the players I like having poor seasons. So I guess a Mark Selby - Si Juahui World Championship Final would be a fitting ending - with me wanting both to lose!

feck Selby. Boring as hell to watch.
God it's torture. Every frame is a battle of attrition. Hendry said it perfectly in the studio, most players think ''How do I win'', Selby thinks ''How do I not lose''. Snooker is about potting balls.
Yeah, he walks and looks at every ball every shot just about. Drags every game on for as long as he can, it's like he doesn't want to go home ever.
Yep the difference between the two semis is incredible.
They started at 2:30 and into the third frame? Fecking hell. I would love Si to win this, snooker is desperate for new stars. Ronnie’s my favourite but the old guard hoovering up the big titles is getting stale.
Anyone who plays at a decent pace for me, sick of seeing shots on Selby's face because he's debating wtf to do even though he has control of the table the boring prick.

I think it's obvious to every one watching that some players are entertaining & others are dull. Selby & Allen are Dull !!

Allen used to be a good player to watch, admittedly I haven't watched loads of snooker recently, I just thought Selby was dragging him down to his level. Disrupting his game and making everything slow.
Selby's gonna look insanely bad when he makes Si cry.... Mark Allen looks like he's broken, but he's a grown ass man, Si's a kid
Christ, horrendous stuff this. It always happens in matches with Selby, doesn't it? It's going to such a clash of styles in the final, but unfortunately I can only see a winner from this semi.
He did this to John Higgins who's one of the greatest match players of all time. Selby is the great when it comes to stifling opponents.
Only home at 7-6 Selby did they even complete the session as in thought it was eight frames?

Tbf Selby's safety shots and shots to escape safeties are unreal. He might be the most complete player around

Assuming this level of performance from Si? Badly. Let's face it, if he keeps playing like this he's not beatable
Impeccable but Si’s final boss battle is likely to be Selby breaking up his rhythm and forcing him into lengthy safety battles. It’s broken most before him.
If Selby makes the final the panning out part is guaranteed.
Si is playing at the level to become WC, which is just insane if you think about it. If he makes the final, which looks almost inevitable at this point, I really hope he keeps up his level. He'll be the crowd favourite for sure.
Granted except for Selby who as Ronnie said before ' he just ties you up in knots'.
Absolutely agree with you this level is on a different tangent altogether.
