Redcafe Snooker

Calendar 2022/2023 | World Snooker Live Scores (worldsnookerdata.com) is the official one but Snooker.org is great too, it has more stuff than the official World Snooker website and is easier to navigate. It also contains lots of stats and historical records.
World Snooker data.com is what I generally use when I have to follow the scores online.

It has all kinds of sections for Calendar (upcoming schedule), Live Scores, Sessions once each tournament is underway, Matches / Draw for showing who'll play who as the tournament progresses (handy for seeing which section of the draw is tougher and what potential heavyweight clashes are ahead barring any upsets)...
Thank you!

think the way he plays just suits Ronnie because also doesn’t get bogged down in the tactical stuff for the majority of frames.

can just picture ronnie’s post match interview now.

Congratulations Ronnie you’re through to the semi’s, how does that feel?

Yeah I mean like, I’m pretty appy with the way I played, appy to be in the semi’s. Ya know, Luca’s obviously a really good player and he plays the game the way it should be played dya know what I mean like, he just goes out there and tries to pot some balls like it should be and that probably suited me. Just normal snooker the way it should be. It’s not like going out there wif like Peter Ebdon dya know what I mean like, sitting down for 47 minutes while Peter takes one shot dya know what I mean. I mean no disrespect to Peter like, Peter’s Peter init, god love him off the table he’s a lovely fella but on the table it’s like blimey mate, you can’t play snooker to save your life, I’ve gotta get home before July dya know what I mean.
Errrrr.....uhmmmmm....Yeah.

Victory for Allen against Jones in a great quarter-final.

That battle will stand him in good stead for the next round and he plays the winner of Selby v Higgins who are locked at 4-4 and about to play back to back sessions.

I genuinely thought that final frame would never end, or if it did they would be pulled away from the table to finish later.

Jak Jones has had a great run & gave Allen a good game.

10-10, losing 4 frames in a row. But could that comeback have mentally exhausted Brecel as he's famously known for not practicing long and hard. Has all the skill but does he have the match fitness? Intriguing watch.

Brecel should have won this already. Ronnie got away with it last night but is getting what he deserves today. It’s been awful from him and now he’s simply given up.

Ronnie has checked out unfortunately because the tournament is less than a spectacle without him. Credit Brecel though, he’s showing no fear.

ronnie has thrown this. 10-6 up and is going to end 13-10. never seen him play like this. 7-0 in the session is astonishing

James Cahill was something.... but this might just out do that. Peak downer for him. I legit only just switched it on though, so not sure how he's played, but 8-0 is 8-0...

Even in his worst nightmares, Ronnie can't ever have played as poorly as this. Would get whitewashed by anyone. Happy for Brecel though.

I thought his days of meltdowns were over but it’s like they’ve only just begun. He fell to pieces while he was still in the lead and offered literally nothing the whole session.

As a Ronnie fan, that was a really disappointing final session. When Ronnie is good, he is unstoppable. When he is bad, damn he is bad. Credit to Luca, he is finally showing the talent snooker fans always knew he had as a youngster. That said though, I s believe the world championship suffers without Ronnie because despite that performance Luca, he is just as capable of being whitewashed in the semis.

Also, not to constantly jump on him.... but is Selby's game legit only 2 games while the others finished? Kin'ell man. But he's gonna roll through it now I think, look at how delighted he was when he saw Ronnie out

Didn't see that coming. Hopefully its not Selby or Higgins and we get a new winner.

Yeah it's all pointing to another inevitable Mark Selby dour-fest. I don't see the calibre of player left in this tournament to prevent that.

Also, thank feck Ronnie at least got through that semi with Selby in 2020.... imagine him and Selby being equal on 6 after this, and how utterly fixed they would try and make 2024 to get them together in a final.

If and its a big if but if Luca Brecel can produce that kind of snooker he will be very tough to beat.

God I hope not. They might have to extend the bank holiday weekend to finish that final if Selby gets there, he’s always been a slow player but even Peter Ebdon was never that slow. I hope Mark Allen goes on and wins it now who has been excellent these last 12 months.

That shot in the final frame decider in that match where Ronnie smashed the white on a snooker and fluked a snooker back on Selby has to be one of the most iconic shots in m snooker history. Genuinely the difference between Ronnie being on 7 not 6 and Selby having 4 instead of 5

Never seen O'Sullivan that bad but everytime it was no miss snooker from Brecel Massive odds on that this morning I'd say.

It's a very big if indeed because this is still new ground for him, he hadn't won a single match here before this year. It could happen though.

He has incredible cue power and plays with reckless abandon at times but what a pleasure to watch when in full stride.

Brecel or Allen to hopefully win it. Like them both and it would be good for a new winner. If neither of them two then McGill. Not arsed with any of the others winning it.

Completely agree. That's definitely my preferred final at this stage. Don't want to see any of the other remaining ones winning it. Though, like you say, McGill would be the next preference - although I've never particularly warmed to him and the git has already knocked out two of my favourites in Lisowski and Trump.

Not been a great season for most of the players I like, but Luca has been fine and good that he's ending it well. Great effort from him today, albeit helped by an awful showing from Ronnie.

Hard to look past Selby. His B game is so good you need to be on your A game every session. Allen is the only one I can see giving him a game or with the temperament to cope in the safety slogs.

Someones gotta save us from a McGill-Selby final. I'm dreaming of that 30 ast

So impressed with Si. Hats off young man, that was an incredible performance.

When was the last time a debutant made it to the semis?

Good call on that.... and it's Andy Hicks 95.

But yeah, he seems less robotic than some of the other Chinese contingent. And even so, with most of them suspended and likely long time banned, it's good to see, since the sport really does need that Chinese investment. But still don't see him beating Luca, who I think would of had a lot more trouble with McGill.... but the winner is coming from the Marks really.

Always happy to see Ronnie go out, great stuff from Brecel!

Hopefully Selby can take his chance here and further cement himself as one of the all time greats of the game.

Si remains a joy to watch in this tournament. Hopefully it isn’t just a one off.

The quality of the cueing is off the charts, along with the confidence and attacking attitude. If he can go on and win this match it will be an incredibly story and if he could win the whole thing it will be up there with the all time great sporting stories. His form this season is absolutely nowhere.
