Redcafe Future Stars

Huh? Gotze has started 23 games this season. Jones plays whenever he's fit. Varane and Isco are at a very strong Real side and both have impressed whenever they've played and clearly have a strong future there.

I'd say all of those - bar probably Wilshere - will still be top players in a few years. They're all only 22/23 you impatient fecker.
To be fair, only Gotze has lived to his potential so far. Varane and Isco are brilliant but strong competition.

I would be very surprised if either Jones or Wilshere would become near as good as they were supposed to be.

It wasn't a bad prediction (obviously, it was the safest bet) but bar Gotze, neither of them hasn't progressed at all from 2 years ago when you made the prediction.

They're all 22/23, I wouldn't expect them to be the stars they've been predicted to be yet. Glad to see you've instantaneously reversed on your Gotze talk since your first post though, obviously you do your research eh?

And you know what I hate? Old bumps, especially when the bump hasn't remotely been proven wrong. Did you expect me to go "oh lolz Revan you got me!" ?

Isn't that the point of these kind of threads?

And I didn't want to offend you princess, I was just reading the thread at predictions and saw that post which at that time looked dead cert that it will happen, but even sure things like that, don't always happen.

The funny thing in these threads is that most of predicted players aren't even in google (not literally) after a few years. Just look at KingEric7, jakeC and peterstorey predictions.

Oh dear. I always find it comical when posters reply with something like 'princess' when they get a strong response back. Maybe, you know, I'm just being assertive because I feel you made a post that warranted it? Not something uncommon with you, mind.

Your post was really daft, though, it's like you're claiming those players have failed to live up to their hype, which is nonsense given their age.

It's not hard though? I could name dozens of players in the top 5 leagues that are aged 21 or younger who've had regular mins for their clubs.

Some of the players have been hyped to kingdom come. I mean look at the fella above mentioning Munir and Odegaard!

I'll throw some names that people may not have heard of:

Niklas Stark (Nurnberg)
Davie Selke (Werder Bremen)
Adrian Marin (Villarreal)
Abdul Baba (Augsburg)
Moi Gomez (Villarreal)
Albert Rafetraniaina (Nice)
Issac Success (Granada)
Borges Wendell (Bayer Leverkusen)
Johannes Geis (Mainz)
Luciano Vietto (Villarreal)

Vietto is getting pretty well known this season though.

Geis. .. :(

Will Leroy Sane be up there? I know he is getting a few minutes now, but not looked him up properly in ages

Only played 60mins for Schalke this season. Not very good for a club that likes to give youth a go.

He had a lot of talk about him from youth setup, must not be able to transform that onto the senior fold. Similar story with David Henen of Anderlecht

Boschilla for Brazil's U17 team looks class, he made his Sao Pualo debut this year too so he's one to watch. Mosquito is a Brazilian striker who'll be called up to the senior team very soon, I reckon, partly due to his talent and partly the lack of ability in Brazil's front line.
Apologies if mods don't want this thread bumped, but I think this sort of thread only really works if huge bumps area allowed.

Apparently he's signed for Monaco for €10m. He should become a class player, mind you I thought Ganso was going to become the focal point of Brazil's midfield so who knows! Gabigol of Santos will be a star, although I think he's got a bit of a questionable mentality that may stop him reaching a real top club. He's the third youngest player to reach 100 caps for Santos behind Pele and Robinho (beating Neymar) and is the main attacker for them already. Gerson is another young talented Brazilian who will go far, and is apparently wanted by Barca.

A new one should be made. Including players like Welbeck and Neuer in the list makes it pointless even if this was three years ago.

There should be a rule that very known players like Martin Ødegaard can't be included. And teenagers only.

I've watched ter Stegen since he broke through late last season, he's a dead cert IMO. One of the reasons why Gladbach managed to stay in the Bundesliga. As for Draxler, he already plays like a seasoned pro. Lewis Holtby, Marco Reus and Son Heung-Min are also extremely impressive.

2 out of 5 (Reus and Ter Stegen)

All teenagers should be eligible. Would be interesting to see how all the proper media wonderkids have fared in 3 years time.

I'd add Dele Alli to the list. Although I've only seen him play twice (once against United in the League Cup and again last night in the 2nd half against MLS All-Stars), he's going to be in the Spurs first team squad this season and has every chance of shining IMO.

This thread had potential but @Solius ruined it by being inactive. :nono:

Also there needed to be more rules, i.e. the players have to be teenagers when posted.

The whole point is to leave it for a few years and then bump it like the person did :nono:

Gabriel Obertan, Jack Rodwell, Mario Balotelli, Nathan Delfouneso, Alex Oxade-Chamberlain - Solius

I got my flops pretty spot on. Still time for Ox.

Schalke's Sané looks like he could become a pretty good player. But since they also kinda damaged Draxler and Meyer I'm not that sure about him.

Dortmund's Dudziak is someone to look out for too, but he hasn't played enough with the first team yet to make a real assessment. Afaik he's played left back for their second team last season and in a more attacking role during their current pre season. His technique and understanding of the game (in an attacking sense) seems quite good, so if he can show that he is a capable defender too he might become a pretty good attacking fullback.

I hope him doing this right

I said Jonny Evans and Anderson were 'dead certs'.

Classic case of the heart ruling the head.

:(

Andre Gomes, one of our young lads look special. Even in 3-4 years time he won't be near the first team due to his age but if he can mature and grow, he will be a star. Gerson will be a star whoever he goes too, seems like it's Barcelona and Oliver Torres will develop into one of the top midfielders around. If Rolando Aarons can stay clear of injury, he will get a big move and become a top player as well.

Also predict that Martin Odegaard will never equate to a top level player. Going to Madrid at a young age will ruin him. Can also add Enes Unal to that list.

Not to brag, but my judgement with young players making it has been quite accurate. Obertan and Cleverly are two players I was completely wrong about though. I always thought Tom would be that midfielder Untied needed.

Also, what about Adnan Januzaj? I think he'll be a star.

Julian Weigl who moved to Dortmund from 1860 Munich this summer. He was the first team captain for 1860 this season just gone, at the age of 18/19. I think if he continues his development, he'll become a full international for Germany when he's 21/22.

Gomes is ridiculously good for his age.

Will stick my neck on the block about Januzaj - kid will be a star.

Cassio Joelinton of Hoffenheim
Ruben Duarte of Espanyol
Timo Baumgartl of Stuttgart
Juan Munoz of Sevilla
Luca Zander of Bremen
Marvin Friedrich of Schalke

All teenagers, all should be playing first team football next season. From the list below, only Marin, Rafetraniaina and Success are still teenagers but all 3 are promising players, shame Marin was injured for pretty much all of last season.

Wasn't in this thread but I was sure Tosic and Ljajic would be great players for us.

And Evans and the da Silvas.

As things stand, I really like the look of our own Fosu-Mensah. I think Denayer, Iheanacho and Manuel Garcia from City look like great prospects. Also think Besic at Everton could become a really solid PL midfielder within the neext year or two.
