Limit's up to 6 games a week and you've only played 4 so far, there are two more you can play.
It's gone well so far, just posted the tables. Hopefully people with 0 games will get them done soon enough. Cheers for all people who have taken part so far, we even got one who reached the limit already - alastair.

Btw UnitedFan, arruda is right about it lagging, its not severe that you can't play but it makes a difference when you click pass and have to wait 2 seconds for something to happen.. not sure if you can do anything about it but its fair to raise the issue.
Gomez's last goal was comical, I thought it was going out of play and he somehow whips it in and buries it.

The only reason that it is always me is because I am in Australia, but that's only as much as my fault as the player I am up against - hence no fix and no justification to blame anyone?

I had no idea you are in Australia, so that explains it... you're right it affects both people, but when you're used to playing it instant passing one game and then have to have a delay the next it really fecks you over... Anyway, hopefully next time we play there is no snow and fecking orange ball.
No worries. I understand completely that it does affect - but I'm not THAT used to it like people claim, because I only play people in Australia usually, so I only have a few more games in that condition then others - however most people (if I beat them) conveniently forget all this. I'm not saying you, you're a good sport but some others are a nightmare in terms of using this as a prime excuse for a 4 goal win. Thanks for the game.

Vuc, you can only use each team once and you have used Milan twice. I will let it go as you have lost the game anyway, but remember the rule - you cannot use Zenit or Milan anymore.

I thought the connection was fine in both our games, it went down a bit during a period of the second half and obviously there was the disconnection in the middle of the game but the flow of the whole thing was fine. Got annoyed once when I missed a chance because of a lag but then so did you at 2-0 so cannot complain.
By the way, you have used nearly all the best sides so far, try playing someone weaker or you will be finishing tournament with Fulhams and Boltons.
Been abroad this weekend, will be working up till the match tomorrow but after that I'll be starting my international league campaign... So anybody who haven't made this week's quota or whatever, seek me out then

I am going to count both your games against arthurka, and will allow two games against the same player for you but only if those players want to play two games at the same time - if they refuse to, you will have to play them in two weeks.
The whole concept of this is to make it more league like, you seldom play the same team twice in the space of a week in the real league. However, I completely understand that due to your location you might find it tough to get all your games played, especially against European players, so I am going to allow that.
But remember that there are still some good players who haven't played their games, and if you run out of solid teams while only playing handful of people you will find it tough to pick up points late on.
I will not raise the games limit to more than 6 though. And as for the busy period, even if you play no games during it, as I said there will be no deductions for people who explain it beforehand. It is people who don't appear in this thread at all for a long period and completely ignore the tournament who will be deducted points.

I'd like to point out there was minimal if no lag when I played united fan.
Thank you very much - I dare say there's not been much lag in any of my games, it's just a very convenient excuse for a select few who can't hack it.
But, yeah, thanks - shows quite a bit of a character to come out after a narrow loss and square up without using the easy route of the easy excuse.

Yep completely agree with that, thanks for you understanding and consideration.
As for my team selection - I know what I'm doing. Points on the board early with some familiar teams I know how to play with and in the mean time I'll try out the other 4.5 teams. I only have to play 24 games and there's at least 10, 15 real quality teams so I figure get the points on the board (try to) early and come home strong with the other teams.

Sorry about the issues Sarni. My network disconnected in the 1st match, it does that but with no frequency or motive I can pinpoint. Its usually ok.
In the 2nd, I looked for a source of lag there, maybe my PC downloading something, but nothing was going on, really couldn't tell. It even got better, then worse again. And as for the result, a really tight game, not sure any of us deserved to win it. I'm sorry I had to do so with a bit of a FIFA 11 corner trick.

I love Holland. I didn't realise national squads were allowed, might change my selection. The problem with any 4-2-3-1 team in FIFA 11 is that the CAM pushes up and becomes a 2nd striker, doesn't sit in midfield like they did in WC2010. I was destructive with most 4-2-3-1 teams in WC2010.

They are allowed. Nah, I was shite in that game, spent half of it in my own half defending. The pace of the game didn't suit me at all, I like it fast and for some reason my players seemed too slow, couldn't turn or do anything in the right pace. A week of rest will serve me well, next week I am winning all six games.
By the way, I just realized the rule about not playing the same player in two weeks is daft, we got 12 players and playing 6 each week means exact same games will have to be played in 2 weeks. I am cutting it to you cannot play the same player twice in a week, next week is fine. For special dispensations (like United Fan 101) it is fine to play two in a row.

Hard to swallow that goal. Right of the bat, first shot of the game. Was really uphill from there. More of a counter-attack guy myself so I had to switch immediately to plan B.

You got the equaliser with Almeida, and then should've had the equaliser again at 2-2 when he missed practically under the bar. By the way, is that a Turkish team, or Portugal B? Simão, Hugo Almeida, Quaresma... anyone else?
I think it actually helped me that I played poorly (except for scoring the goal) in the beginning. That first goal of mine is my classic FIFA move, especially with Rooney. Then I tried to get my wingers involved, to get good balls into my frontmen, but I was doing it wrong by trying to get the wingers on the ball too deep. Once I got the full-backs on the ball it started working, in fact my 3rd or 4th was a cross from RB to Zamora.
So playing poorly early made my play 3 styles during the game, usually if I play "well" I might just play one and become predictable.

I always pick Besiktas and it's always a mistake. I started a manager mode save with them just before transfer update. Of course my side is way better because of my pro. The front lines seriously lack some speed. In fact, there's not one quick player in the whole team.
I would have done better with CSKA in that match. They are somehow just so great at counter attacking. Especially with the full backs so involved. I always get 2 or there 1v1 opportunities that way. It's their weird tactic and mix of players that does it. Atl. Madrid is similar but not quite as good at countering.
