Interesting choice. I'd love to see how you are going manage who's opening. All three are opening batsmen. And that's their strongest position in ODI's.

Amla can bat at 3 as well. I was planning on getting Mark Waugh and playing at 3 or 4 infact

2 matches at an average of 25 (versus 60 overall) at no.3. Strike rate of 54 (versus 91 overall)

Hash is wasted at 3 IMHO. He was promoted to open for SA to take advantage of the PP overs. He's a stroke player that will pierce the field at will in the first 15 overs. After that he just builds. The reason Hash has a SR of 90+ in ODI's is exactly because he was moved to opener. He also opens for the Dolphins, his local franchise. A bit like Sachin for India.

Kirsten and Amla will open for me. Watson will come in at No 3 in all probability, depends on the other batters i can get.

Kirsten and Amla will be great together. Left and Right handed combination, a gritty and stable customer along with a strokemaker.

That's all folks. Join us in 5 hours 45 minutes, when a groggy nm and RI join us for their next pick.

This is interesting to watch, some good cricketers not picked up yet.

There's 2/3 fellas who I am really surprised who haven't been picked up.

How is kohli going to be judged? He hasn't had a long career and many players struggle after a flying start to their career. I don't have any opener :( .Had gambir as my first choice but mightterbright  twat

Well I think Kohli has similar number of matches as Amla so as an ODI player he is up there. He even proved himself down in Oz with that ridiculous innings

Kohli's the epitome of a flat track bully, but he's proved he can hack it outside as well...decent pick. Adds a lot with his fielding ability.

Modern players play a lot of ODIs. You'd think of someone 'established' from the early 90s and they would've played less matches than the likes of Kohli.

How's he the epitome of a flat track bully?
