Gaming Red Dead Redemption 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia)

So I kill the legendary Bison, I have found the abalone shell and the one thing I’m missing to make the trinket is a silver earring and for the past 20 minutes I’ve killed every lady I’ve come across and I can’t get a silver earring at all.

The other two parts are supposed to be the rare things, not a damn earring.

The ending made the whole journey worth it for me, more emotional than I’m used to from games I usually play

Glad I had positive honour for it too, made it all the more perfect.

Yeah, found myself more invested emotionally than I was aware . My honour was middle of the road(tipping to the red). Does the level of honour make a difference to the ending you get?

Yeah you can look them up on YouTube

its not a huge difference but on the horse ride back to camp to confront Micah the music is slightly difference and the quotes he hears in his head differ, what I got I felt fitted his character better for me. The death at the end is different too

Cool, will check them out. Thanks.

Yeah, I got the bad ending

Anyone else experiencing their hair tonic disappearing?? So annoying because I’m trying to grow Arthur’s beard fully it’s currently at 7 and the tonics the only way to grow it further when your past 6 but now I can’t find the tonic anywhere, looked in every part of my satchel and can’t buy more from the general store because I fully stocked up already and it just says there sold out. Infuriating!!
It's not in the tonics section its a couple more to the right just keep hitting r1 and search every one till you find it. Took me a while to find it.

Anybody else struggling to get their beard past 7 ? I have been drinking the hair tonics for ages but it doesn't seem to do anything to my beard.

Holy shit there’s a whole area south of Rhodes I realised I’ve never been

Is there no way to sell weapons? I’ve got some right worn shit I keep having to cycle through.

I've seen that bloke looking for Gavin twice now. Hope he finds him.

I saw him twice in Rhodes but then much further in the game I came across him wandering through the mountains in the far North East of the map.

At this point I’m not arsed what happens to Arthur, Dutch and co. I just need some closure on what happened to Gavin.

So I'm doing a lot of side quests etc and general hunting to get the satchels.

Spent literally 45 minutes yesterday trying to catch a squirrel. Stumbled across a group of about 6 of them, frantically tried to weed out the 3 star one, panicked, and shot it with my revolver rather than bow. Needless to say, the pelt was destroyed and I didn't see another one for fecking ages.

I'm scared to do the story too quickly as I don't really want it to end, but I'm towards the end of chapter 3 so I guess I have a long way to go yet?

Start, player progress, will tell you how far on with everything you are. Miles away from the end, think I'm at chapter 6 and at around 65% of the main story I think

I thought there was only 7 chapters including 2 epilogues? Or maybe it was 7+2.

I just started chapter 4 and feel like I'm going a bit fast even though I've spent loads of time messing about and hunting. Think it's because the missions are short.

.
6 core chapters + 2 epilogues apparently. Still, dont want to fly through it just yet but avoiding spoilers may become increasingly difficult.

Had quite a few random encounters where I’ve saved people, then when I attempt to talk to them after forget that my weapon is still drawn and they run off scared

My favorite thing to do now is to tie anybody and drag them with my horse until they die or even drown

One of the horse challenges is to drag someone alive for 3000ft, I’ve been struggling to do it.

Has anyone ever attempted to raid a gang hideout? In New Austin for example... is the loot good?

Found myself the Mustang Tiger Striped Bay to use post-story mode. I cant be bother about completing hunting challenges. And what the hell should I spend all the money on? I guess this is the big difference relative to GTA, there's only so much you can buy at that time.

I am trying to find the legendary buck. I have walked several times the approximate location in Big Valley but I never get the notice that I am in a legendary animal area. However, I do not want to leave without completing the task.
I have spent several days(of the game) walking around, hunting and camping.
I love the realism of the weather, with rain and fog.
I miss some activity or more options to craft in the improvised camp.Cooking is tedious.

I'm in love with the game. In the ps4 I've only played open world games, minecraft, gta, no mans sky and mad max, and I'm sure I'll play this game for years, but I have to admit that I do not have any interest in the story.
The routine of riding for five minutes with someone, picking up something, a scene of shooting and going back to camp bores me a lot.
Every day I spend more time in nature. In the cities I go crazy, like a dog that has not gone for a walk for days.

Anyone else been here? I did mention it earlier in the thread.

Where I’ve set that marker is where I think the first clue is, but if you see the message check your map and a little question mark pops up. I went on a mass legendary animal hunt last night and at the time I only had the first storyline trapper you come across so rode all away across the map only to find out today there are two right beside strawberry.

Question, is it worth paying off the extremely high bounties that you get on your head doing the story missions? Think I owe close to $400 in bounties in two different counties, and it seems like a massive waste of money to pay it off.

If you can, spend all your money first then start a fist fight and surrender to the bounty hunters.

Spend the night in jail and your bounty will be gone.

If you dont spend all your money first they will take it all off you.

I can't be arsed with bounty hunters so do pay them. Had plenty of money anyway til spent it all on clothes again. Spent a grand in the St Denis tailors.

Unless the money from main missions slows up I can't see it being an issue. There's not that much to spend it on if you tame a wild horse.

I'm not even sure what to spend my money on anymore. Have 3 gold bars sitting in my satchel. After that bank mission in chapter 3 I was able to fully upgrade the camp, get all guns I could, and any outfit I wanted and still had like $1,500 left.

Saying that I'm doing a high honour run through so I imagine it's probably more difficult if you're amassing bounties.

I'm playing bad but with a conscience. Guess I should just go full cunto so I can spend money.

There’s a crashed train at a bottom of a bridge that’s hard to get to, anyone been there yet?

I just found the legendary big horned ram and killed it. Had to mercy kill after I shot it once and it fell down a small cliff. Where’s the best place to take its pelt and body?
