Real Madrid's Ronaldo replacement

IMO Real Madrid will sign Hazard OR Neymar, not both. They also have Isco, Asensio, Bale, Modric, Kroos, Marcelo, etc to create opportunities. They need a striker, someone like Icardi or Lewandowski... Benzema just scored 5 goals last season.
Reckon Neymar would take on the centre forward role there, kinda like Messi did at Barcelona. Hazard on the left and Isco/Bale on the right.

Anyone other than Mbappé and i'm going after Flo

I don't think they'd have sold Ronaldo without having a replacement already lined up.

The fact that the replacement has not yet been announced indicates that it's a player still at the World Cup.

Putting 2 and 2 together, you could narrow it down to Mbappe, Kane or Hazard. Of those, only the first two can replace the goals Ronaldo would normally score.

Out of Kane and Mbappe, only Mbappe has dreamt about Real Madrid since he was a child. And only Mbappe is at a club which needs to sell in order to comply with FFP.

It's Mbappe, imo. Process of emlimination.

But PSG won't sell if they don't want to..

He looked like he wanted out last season and for him the chance to join Real and be the main player is a better than what he's got at PSG. He is a whining little boy, he could force a move out.

Front 3 of Bale, Lewandowski and Salah would score the goals to replace Ronaldo. Hazard is the most likely but doesn't score enough.
There are no players available so whoever they go for it will be for a huge fee and for that player to kick up a fuss even if its just behind the scenes.

No one replaces Ronaldo, PSG also isn't gonna sell. Real Madrid should buy Hazard, Kante, Salah to replace his 50+ goals a season if they need fund they can sell Casemiro & Isco to us :).

It would be a bad move for Mbappe, he is not ready to fill Ronaldo's shoes at this age. 200m for Hazard and Courtois seems more realistic to me.

I think Madrid is going to sign 2 of the following players:

Neymar
Hazard
Mbappe
Salah
Dybala
+
Kane
Lewandowski
Icardi
Cavani
Werner

Hazard, Isco and Bale......around Lewandowski.......the two mentioned there are attainable, and probably "cheap" in the market too as per usual.

They won't need a Neymar/Mbappe signing.

Not sure if it's a good or bad thing that we have zero attacking players of sufficient quality for Real Madrid to want.

Hazard would be the easiest to obtain, but I'm not sure if he would classify as a Ronaldo replacement. Losing Ronaldo means losing 50 goals a season. Neymar and Kane can guarantee those figures, Mbappe probably will in the future, Hazard simply won't. World class player, but that's not his game - said it himself.

Didn't Lewandowski all but announce he's staying in Munich next season?

Benzema hardly ever scored last season, swap him with a prolific #9 and deploy Hazard on the left...I feel they would end up at a fairly similar level.

Itl eventually be mbappe. Likely sign someone like hazard this summer, maybe lewa or icardi as well. Then smash the world record next season for mbappe

Imo Hazard is much better than Neymar, so it’ll be him - for a cheaper price too.

Why would PSG sell Neymar after spending €220m on him?

Because Neymar threatens to go on strike/stays home for example. I'm not saying that's going to happen but in that context I think it's plausible that they could be willing to sell.

Worth noting that they're the one and only club in the world that could easily afford to leave him rotting in the stands for the duration of his contract.

A player can't go on strike because he wants to.

Also, every week he's on strike he loses 1M, are we talking about the same guy here?. He'll play like shit, put sad faces and become conflictive in the dressing room, but he'll play to claim every cent.

That is the worst thing he could do with those owners. Verratti tried that last summer, look what happened

The club would be in constant turmoil if this guy is on strike. Look I'm not saying it's a clear cut case but I could see how PSG wouldn't want that.

Verratti is a 12m € asset and Neymar is a 225m € asset. Neymar is a case sui generis, can't really compare him to the Italian.

No chance.

IIRC they threatened Verratti with forcing him to see out his contract in full doing gardening duties when he kicked up a fuss about moving to Barcelona. While that was probably hyperbole, and maybe even illegal, 200-300M euros to them is literally chump change, if they wanted to prove a point they could write that off as a loss easily. Whether they are willing to do that is another matter though.

That's the financial side. You think Neymar is going to just hide at home? The press will be going ballistic.

What is he going to do, and how exactly is anything he does going to affect people that are supposedly worth 500+ billion euros? Why would they even entertain selling their best player to a CL rival, after going through so much trouble to sign him in the first place? BTW I'm fairly certain Neymar would still have been a Barcelona player if those mandatory release clauses didn't exist in Spain.

Knowing Perez and the relative drought in spending we've seen he will probably sign Mbappé and Hazard. If they do then realistically they should be unstoppable but it isn't guaranteed.
They are probably the beacon of attracting the world's best players but I think financially they are struggling and it is yet to be revealed.

Was hyperbole, a way to tell him his options where to either play football for PSG or not play football at all
