Real Madrid vs Manchester United

I don't get this, it's a free header with the nearest defender being a 5'8 full back. That's a poor, poor goal to lose. Just hamming it up because they wanted it to be the Ronaldo show.

Kagawa isn't offering anything, Madrid are comfortably winning the midfield battle with Ronaldo and Di maria looking threatening every time. Getting away with 1-1 would be splendid

To be fair, that was a wonderful leap. Even Vidic might not have a chance. Look at Evra, its as if he is looking up at a giant from his position.

Too much space in behind our midfield and they're attacking well on rafaels side. We need to get Van Persie in the game. I'm bit worried him being on a yellow thanks to that diving poof. Hopefully we pass it better second half. We can't allow that much space second half.

more than happy with the first half, an away good was what we needed and what we got.
The ref is a worry for me, he is itching to give a red card, he is going to cost us this game.

:nervous: Getting Rafael off and Jones to RB seems the only way out.. I hope Rvp can keep his head..

Rafael sent off against Munich a few years ago. I wonder will Fergie consider that

I should hope so, considering everyone else is thinking about it. He hasn't looked comfortable at all - the ref seems card happy - he is bound to foul again, it doesn't bode well. Maybe Jones to go RB and Clev to come on, if he does come off.

Anyone else feel the ref gives Real Madrid that little bit extra of the decisions?

By his criteria they should have at least a yellow.

It's to be expected though, I don't think it's outrageous. "That little bit extra", like you put it.

Personally think Rooney should be subbed and Valencia on. He isn't giving Rafael Enough protection

The flogging of Rafael here is way over the top. The entire back line has been under tremendous pressure. Anything that is said about Rafael could also be said about Rio, Evans and Evra.

We miss Vidic badly. An explanation for his absence, whatever it is, is greatly desired.

Vidic still not 100% or what ever % he needs to be to play two games back to back like this.

Get Rooney central and let him roam, if that means sacrificing Kagawa then so be it even though he didn't do much wrong that half.

We should bring on Cleverley for Rafael. Push Jones to RB and get Valencia ahead of him, for Kagawa and push Rooney centre.

How many is Steve going to be saying "Yeah Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah"? Why the feck is he even a pundit? I could just say YEAH YEAH!

I'm not even remotely bothered about the performance providing the scoreline remains as is. They're working hard and putting in some great last-ditch stuff.

Considering their season is almost pinned entirely on this game, surely it's not surprising that they've been better. Now hopefully the pressure gets to one or two of them if they don't manage to score a second and we can take the absolute piss and nick it, but so far so good for me.

The performance may well lead to the score changing, don't worry I understand that fundamental of football. Bit of smash and grab from us is necessary. Ronaldo roaming around is horrible though, and his hang time in the air isn't human. He should be tested.

We need better accuracy on balls hoofed towards the forwards so they can ease some of the pressure.

Come on lads!

De Gea was bloody faultless in that half.
