Real Madrid vs Manchester United

I'm happy with the result. A score draw at the Bernabeu is a good score line and one I would have taken before kick off. Hopefully Vidic will start at Old Trafford and we can hit them on the counter as they need to come at us now.
 
I was literally shaking because I was so nervous the last 15 minutes of the game. I was hoping so badly they would not score again.
 
Such an intelligent and mature performance. Jones was top class, Welbeck was excellent, Ferdinand and Evans solid, and de Gea shoved the unfair media treatment right back down their throats.

You know it went well when you're leaving Madrid ruing missed opportunities to win there.

Like someone else during the game, Welbeck seemed to the like the only person who wasnt fazed about the situation or the occasion. De Gea obviously was the other one. I wasnt happy with Rooney's performance. For the goal, he could have marked Coentrao a little more closely, his touches were bad and going forward he was even worse. Dont know what happened. He usually steps up in big games for us.

Surprised at the post match observations seeming to ignore that Ferdinand was by far and away the best defender on that pitch tonight. Ramos was obviously awful, Varane still a little raw, and Evans, whilst having a decent game, wasn't on the same level as Rio. Great display, and basically earned you the draw.

Less impressed with Jones - yes, he was told to track back and do the donkey work but when he had possession, he just looked so average with the ball. You can't fault his defensive work, but I still think for £16m he should show more actual ability. I'll get slaughtered for that one, but there you go.

The media's rewriting of the De Gea myth is now starting to get rather amusing as well. He's always been good at shot stopping - exceptional in fact - but it's being commanding from corners and other set pieces that has always been his problem. Sky normally harp on about that for hours but tonight they've decided that they're going to stop and concentrate on the saves instead of slaughtering him. Probably about time.

No cards yet more fouls compared to 3 for United, that's more than just biased and it's a pattern in matches that involve Mou. Coincidence?

How is it that Arbeloa has attained immunity from bookings? It's a real mystery

I wouldn't have thought I would end up with mixed feelings after drawing 1-1 in this game. We should have been out of reach by now!

Great performance, still buzzing. I just hope those missed chances won't come to haunt us.
 
I really hope that people stop with ridiculously underrating us now. We're 12 points clear because we are fecking good, not some shit team playing in an even worse league.

I hope that we twat them at OT now. 3-1 would be nice.

This. I said some 2/3 months ago that once we get our shit together at the back and wingers find some form, we are second best only to Barca. I got laughed at. This team, providing Val and Nani finally arrive together, is as good as anyone, bar those freaks of football.

You're absolutely 100% spot on. They rose to the occasion and produced. RM certainly have a few guys with cannons in their boots, but other then that they didn't scare me. It will be important to keep closing them down early to limit the bombing attempts.
 
Getting in the ground was an absolute joke! How people aren't dead I don't know! Spanish police haven't got a clue how to organise crowds. Other than that, what a trip it was.

We didn't have any problem getting in. Turned up to the ground just before 7:15 and they opened the gates early to start letting us in. Was in our seats by 7:30 got the flag up and waited on the countdown to kickoff.
