His dad named him after Giggsy, maybe there’s a chance.
This is my point. We spent 80 mil on bloody Sancho and Antony. A player comes along who is much more talented but unproven available for 20 mill euros and decent wages and people are turning their noses up.It may be worth buying him and flipping him if it didnt work. Sounds like a player who would probably move on for >22m for whoever bought him.
Sometimes young players need a change of scenery and to get away from their hometown friends and such to realise their potentialI used to have him in mind to become one of the best players in the world, but he’s gone off the rails since then and now I don’t think his career path can be certain anymore. Has the talent to be a superstar, whether he’ll ever apply himself like one is anyone’s guess.
I’ve not seen us linked with him, I’ve only seen Liverpool linked to him.Any Utd rumours on him?
Just watched a highlights compilation on him. Must be said he looks technically ridiculous. I can imagine him being a hot and cold player though.
We don't tend to go for technical players so sounds rightI’ve not seen us linked with him, I’ve only seen Liverpool linked to him.
Rumoured interest and apparently asked to be kept in loop on availability but could be tabloid BS.Any Utd rumours on him?
Punt in a Salah replacement. If he’s a bit of a cnut there the median won’t scrutinise him anywhere near the levels he’d get at United. If he goes to Liverpool, who does he displace or is he a salah replacement?
Every club on this planet should be interested if the quoted fee is correct.Rumoured interest and apparently asked to be kept in loop on availability but could be tabloid BS.
He doesn’t have the face of someone who’ll be successful on the football pitch.

Take it at face valueIs there a joke here which I am missing as two posters have now commented on his looks.
Bayern would never have bought Ribery if they did.Take it at face value
We set the bar with Luke ChadwickBayern would never have bought Ribery if they did.

Cherki Giggs, the lesser known brotherAfter Rayan Giggs?
TBH he did transform himself later, but agree the bar was set,We set the bar with Luke Chadwick
Bet Rodri is glad he's injured and has to stay at homeHis dad named him after Giggsy, maybe there’s a chance.
At any other club I'd say "a talented young attacker for cheap? let's get him". But in our current circumstances we really can't afford another player with toxic character and lack of running on the pitch. kinda reminds me of Sancho. We need fighters who runs their arses off.
Why is Leao even in the discussion ? He’s a 25yo winger with very average output and close to no defensive workHe’ll either be our Hazard our Taarabt. Outrageous talent, and it’s with great sadness and a testimony to the joke that this game has become to see the first thing some people question about him is his ability to defend and chase people. He has the talent that make people pay to watch football matches. He’s also only 21 and his productivity is increasing all the time. Amd lastly, it’s not like we cam go and get Musiala or Leao anyway, so as far as cheap options go, which it seems is all we’re supposed to be pursuing these days - 20m for Cherki is a great deal when he has genuine 100m potential.
By all accounts, he turned his attitude around this summer. The end of last season with Pierre Sage at Lyon and then the Olympics benefitted him greatly. What’s bonkers about Cherki is he has the ability and potential to become a legit talisman; the kind of player that can bend games to his will. If you could put the singular drive of any of our legends in him, you’d have one of the best players in the league to hand for a pittance.
The mistake United have made over the last 10yrs is conservativism in the market.
Difference is that Cantona was driven by his winning mentality. Cherki just seems like Sancho 2.0Imagine this forum in 1992.
Cantona?? No thanks. Awful attitude, loads of red cards, he was booted out of France.
We need a ready made quality striker. Like David Hirst.

For the right price and wages these deals make sense as a means to speculate on the market.
Look at Lloyd Kelly, Adarabioyo and Veiga. They are already being touted for moves that will generate atleast 10m profit.

If you go back a few years, I was really high on Cherki because with his talent, the sky looked like it was there to reach, and then all the reports started coming in, which has led us to 2025 and him being a player you cannot bet the house on.By all accounts, he turned his attitude around this summer. His play is really not Taarabt. He’s basically a Fekir regen with Ben Arfa skillset.
Cherki himself is not that much of an asshole, but I’ve had had many echoes from people « itk » that his entourage are insufferable
However for £20m we should get him.
