career ending
Not RAWK but still good content regardless:
What would you say is going on in these clips then?
Agreed on blaming individuals as pretty much everyone has had a mare.
This is staggering.
It is like you are playing a six a side.
You could never ever level lack of effort at any of our lads but this looks awful.
If he keeps playing like that then he won’t go to the World Cup. He has showed that he could defend but on last night he was half hearted to say the least.
However collectively I think the whole team did not defend well not just him.
He willgo to the world cup but Southgate wont pick him. For one the press would happily want a scape goat if they went out and would love to target Trent and target Southgate for picking him. Thats the pressure all England managers will be under because he is a target for them.
Good for us though, dont give a shit about whether he gets picked or not and I hope he doesn't.
It’s almost as if all the praise so young has got to his head, he needs to remember as quick as you get to the top, it’s even quicker to go down, and he has a host of rival fans media and players waiting on his downfall.
I think him getting dropped from England may be a good thing he needs to realise he’s in a generation of incredibly talented Rbs and they don’t actually need him to do well especially if he is playing like this for us.
The signing of Ramsey should have helped but the old Anfield Witch has put the injury spell on him.
if FSG sacked klopp we would ALL go to anfield - en masse
FSG won’t sack Klopp simply because no other top manager would work under their transfer model
We've outgrown FSG, simple as that. They took us over when we needed stability and they brought us success which is a bonus. But for a club like Liverpool FC to work on a transfer policy like this is unsustainable, we're not looking to just hit top 4 every season like FSG think we might.
"It looks like we have to re-invent ourselves" -Klopp
Hopefully this means a change in system as teams are ruthlessly exploiting our current one.
Regarding 'sacking' Klopp, FSG ain't that dumb! If they were stunned at the reaction to proposals to increase ticket prices and the Super League, they won't know what the hell hit them if they got rid of the boss!!!
He is incredible. People forget it but in 20/21 Guardiola, off the back of losing the league title to us in the previous season, had a really dodgy start as they were shipping goals galore. He then acknowledged he needed to change and they became much more solid and won two league titles.
Klopp will sort it.
I remember Leicester gave them an absolute hiding that season; 5-2 in the second game of the season at the Emptihad and Shoestring started being more pragmatic I think. It didn't work for them immediately; they only won 5 of their first 12 if you can believe that. Then they won 15 league games in a row! Actually lost 4 of their last 11 but won the title easily.
Zero knee jerking from intelligent Liverpool supporters. We have feasted for so long and we can make do with a few pot noodles. Master chef needs to sort the food cupboard and maybe grow or buy some new ingredients
Chippy Kloppy
Even if we can't sell players like Ox, we should be able to loan them out to get their wages(or a decent chunk) off our books.
'Hi, it's Liverpool FC here. We've got a talented player who is always injured. Would you like him for a season? He's on £125,000 a week and averages about 10 or 15 games a year'.
Good luck with closing that deal.
Even if there were clubs willing to buy or loan the likes of Ox or Keita, there's still the four factors that Lobo highlighted that all need to align - plus a fifth one, which is the players agent not being a dick by wanting too much.
...Yeh who would be stupid enough to sign a perma crock on massive wages.
His name is Arthur Melo.
I’m getting a little concerned about our ability to bring in young prospects that go on to be first team players. Before Elliot and Carvalho, who have started well, I can only think of Gomez and before him Sterling. We bring in “top prospects” constantly and none of them seem to make the grade. I suppose we make good money out of some of them.
The likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea have spent countless amounts of money all the way through the seasons we were dicing with City, and it hasn't got them anywhere. Look at how much United alone have spent.
Nobody is saying we should spend money for the sake of it. Equally, you could argue that City and Chelsea have spent lots and won leagues and European cups. Nobody is saying it’s that simple. We keep going on about how recruitment and analytics departments are world-leading. If that’s true then we should be able to identify players. Perhaps the risk we should be taking is to get targets in earlier. Why wait until Tchou Tchou is on everyone’s radar? Could we have moved for someone like him or Kessie or even Haaland before they became pretty safe bets? It feels like we wait until it’s absolutely obvious they are a top player. Then convince ourselves we will get them “next” summer and then watch them go to Madrid, Barca, Chelsea or City.
One example is losing a good young squad player like Neco Williams to raise funds who we could rotate with Trent and give him a rest (i.e. Tsimikas at left back) but then repeatedly fail to move on someone like Ox until their contract expires.
You make that sound like clubs are queuing up to buy him and he's desperate to leave. I highly doubt either of those scenarios are the reality.
It's hardly fair to say the club has 'repeatedly failed' at something they don't have full control over
- Andre-Frank Anguissa, age 26.
- Victor Osimhen, age 23.
Both were such a menace to play against yesterday... My dumb conclusion is, when you are young you can run much much longer, and faster than 30-year-old.
When Napoli continued the onslaught by scoring a fourth just two minutes after the break... It killed me inside.
We played into Osigoal's hands. He's a menace on the counter but against deeper defences, he's not as threatening. I hope we adapt our ractics in the 2nd leg.
With respect to Napoli, they are exactly the sort of club we should be bullying in the transfer market. Pick the bones of great (but not rich or powerful) clubs. Ferguson did this a lot. He was constantly swiping the best players from the likes of Newcastle, Spurs and Villa. It was rare that they would go and raid Madrid, Bayern, Inter or even the likes of Arsenal.
We were poor. But also got fecked over by the officials.
MAybe, I thought we were so bad it made the official's an irrelevance. That second penalty was pretty soft though.
VVD is running in a straight line alongside him Never a pen.
Pen was a pen blatant handball, second pen was a pen too, pathetic defending from Van Dijk, we were second to everything and committing silly fouls, cant recall any bad offside calls
We were rancid. It has nothing to do with the ref.
This one I love with the heavy food references and poetic metaphors for their fortunes.Zero knee jerking from intelligent Liverpool supporters. We have feasted for so long and we can make do with a few pot noodles. Master chef needs to sort the food cupboard and maybe grow or buy some new ingredients
Oh, and this nonsense about our form being the result of Mane leaving? I mean, our best player this season has been the guy who came in in January, made an instant impact in a similar role to Mane, and was probably a factor in us not doing much to keep Mane. And how has Mane leaving impacted everyone else? Did he glue lead strips into everyone's boots before he cleared out his locker? FFS!
Definitely agree with this.
Mane leaving is not why we are where we are.
Funny how City don't look mentally knackered despite them losing to Real Madrid in such a comical way after being set and done to the Final, then going to down 2-0 at home and coming back and winning the league. The painful truth is we have some players who are not good enough anymore who should've been sold this summer. It's wonderful that Klopp is compassionate with his players, but he need to start being strict and ship players who are not good enough anymore.
Maybe they would be mentally knackered if they lost the league but the main difference for them is the money means they will always be back again and they know it, hangover seasons are a thing, and they are very common.
When a team comes close to greatness and falls just short, it is very hard to pick yourself up again, you are even seeing it with Rangers this season, their players simply aren't over missing out on the Europa League, you saw it with Spurs in 19/20, etc.
...Usually, when we get beat fairly heavily, I'll look at the xG and be like, ah it was closer than we thought, they just finished well. But last night we just got sliced open and deservedly got trounced. 3.2 xG against excluding the penalties. Fair play to Napoli, they have some excellent talents I had never heard of, but even City haven't managed to open us up that much in recent years.
I was gonna stay out of the expected FSG pile-on....but wow
Go on then. What parts are so out of order?
And don't get me wrong - the Glazers are terrible people and leeches, so perhaps I sounded too charitable to them. But are we really going to say that FSG aren't 100% about just fattening up the asset without spending a penny? They're tight as feck and expecting Klopp to pull rabbits out of hats.
They made around £550m by selling a 10% stake to Redbird they don't take money out.
That Kvaratskhelia dude is feckin mental.
What a player.
sneaky bid to Zenit for Lovren this winter?
No his politics are trash, don't want him in the club ever again after going full MAGA, full Covid denier as well.
This is an actual quote from RAWK?"I won't hear a word against Rafa. My eldest has his middle name from him."
Oh that is such a gem
Are you surprised? This is an actual quote from RAWK?
Not at all, more shocked that someone would own up to it.Are you surprised?
They haven't scored a right footed goal yet have they? The Arse lot have the left foot table sewn up.
After all these years watching them challenge for top honours...
There are reasons to think Potter can make the leap to elite at some point. Brighton’s league finishes do not align with their expected points, so with better players his coaching should translate to a higher level. I don’t remember any players falling out with him, so he seems like he can handle players. It’s just… Chelsea. Different owners, different players but same culture. People just seem to like stabbing each other in the back and I like him, so hope it doesn’t happen to him.
New owners doesn’t negate the despicable shitstain that this club still represents.
C’mon Todd, you didn’t have to prove me right quite so prematurely.
Tuchel the misanthropic weirdo will just wait for the inevitable Death Star appointment (he won’t be able to pass up completing the unholy trinity of PSG/Chelsea/Newcastle).
As for who next for Chelsea….don’t know, don’t give a feck.
The revolving door that is the Chelsea manager's job hasn't stopped that ratbag football club achieving a measure of success that no club engaging in such behaviour has any right to lay claim to. Pisses me off no end.
Same here. I'm not sure what I dislike more about them - winning the lottery with Abramovich, buying leagues, distorting the transfer market and wage structures, giving it the big one as if they're a European giant, being generally classless and plastic, or winning trophies despite having just appointed their 15th manager in 15 years.
Their crimes against football are too long to list. Just a horrible club from top to bottom that represents everything wrong with the modern game, plus some of the worst fans in football. Potter will be gone in no time if he doesn't win anything.
I'm 62 and we have had 13 different managers in my lifetime.
Exactly. It's un-fecking-real that a club averaging a manager per season has won what they have. We try and do it the right way, and critics can't wait to pile onto us at the first sign of a problem.
Continuity can be overrated. Unless you’ve got a one of a kind people can get bored of hearing the same things in the same voice and doing similar things all the time. Especially Chelsea footballers. Don’t think it’s dissimilar to any other job though. It just settles into a malaise after a bit.
Would anyone be surprised if Potter and/or Brighton turned Chelsea down? Why would Brighton bend over and let their manager walk?
They won't bend over but they're also not going to stand in his way are they
Potter will get no time to build anything and they'll dump him at the first set of bad results. Surprised he's considering it.
Worth noting this is yet another club in addition to the Mancs that is an absolute shitshow, with a long line of discarded managers, failed transfers, and a dysfunctional setup at board level. Chelsea might have won some silverware but they're not a football club in the truest sense - no loyalty, no solidarity, no class, no continuity, and with an arrogant, entitled and short-term mindset. Tories in every sense of the word.
Kind of puts our need for a midfielder in perspective when you realise how badly things are going elsewhere - and how good we have it by comparison.
I was thinking about this before, our fans love a good moan about FSG but in the grand scheme of things they are actually great owners in comparison. Imagine FSG sacking Klopp after 6 games of the season? Like right now, imagine it. A lot of Chelsea fans aren't happy about it but don't think they had the same connection with Tuchel as we do Klopp.
The thought of Boehly relying on Tuchel to help with the sales pitches to Kounde and Raphina, Tuchel basically telling him to feck off and then Todd rage spending on lesser players is pretty hilarious.
Took Ostersund to the Europa League from the 4th Division, did a passable job at Swansea in one season and then at Brighton did a complete 180 on tactics from Hughton, still kept them up without completely throwing games like Hughton and then built a team that can basically beat anyone on their day and could possibly qualify for Europe with Danny Welbeck leading the line is some pretty damn good coaching.
Maybe he will fail at Chelsea but if we have fans scoffing at Potter then I dread to think what this place is going to be like when Klopp does finally go.
It makes me feel physically sick when I have a fleeting thought about it so I don't do it often. He's a miracle worker.
Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world. A host of people will be lining up to be the next manger after Klopp.
Who said there wouldn't be? I don't really get your point.
Your last line implies those who are scoffing at Potter shouldn't do as when Kloppo goes we're going to be struggling to find anyone interested at becoming Manager of Liverpool Football Club,.
No, that's what your reading it as. I think Potter is a very highly qualified coach and would have no issue with him taking over from Klopp based on his track record so far. Considering how there's only 8 or 9 jobs in the world where winning a trophy is expected then you'd actually be looking at pretty limited pool of candidates if "only got to midtable" was immediately worthy of being ruled out.
Why on earth did they get rid of a world class manager like Tuchel based on a few dodgy results? Absolutely mental, they have just spent millions of pounds on new players that the new man might not even want! Also to replace him with someone like Potter is just crazy.
Based on more than that.
Tuchel doesn’t last long at clubs for many reasons - all of his own doing.
Potter simply wouldn't get the time at Chelsea. Would be a big mistake going there in my opinion.
Potter will be gone in no time if he doesn't win anything.
Yeah, I can get why it'd be interesting - anyone talented & ambitious would back themselves to do well in the job and possibly even break the cycle of hire & fire that they've been in (particular under new ownership), but there's so much pressure to have it & have it now that I think it's a job better avoided unless you're a manager already in that game.
I know it's early this season, but Potter looks like he could have a really good opportunity to deliver something really good for Brighton this season and I think he'd be wise to see that through. A top half finish this season would be a feather in his cap that he could take to future projects in due course - be tempted out early and it looks a little like the promise & unfinished business that Brendan Rodgers is in serious danger of being characterised by.
Boehly is a man of action! Not always very sensible actions but that's not our problem.
Maybe he wants to manage? He's learnt very quickly about soccer in that role of sporting director. He's going for it Ted Lasso style. Gonna be crackers there for a spell
Wow, so Potter is actually seriously considering this? A bit risky in the circumstances.
He's not just considering it, he's agreed to it if reports are to be believed. He'll be their manager by the weekend.
It'll end in tears.
Potter is a top manager.
The question is, is this his level or can he step up to the next level. It’s a bonkers team, and expectations are sky high. He certainly has his work cut out
Rodgers will be grinding his veneers if Potter accepts the job.
To be honest he’d be a fool not too. He’ll end up winning some sort of trophy before getting sacked and taking the England job after
SSN saying Chelsea have verbal agreement with Potter.
Can’t blame him for going there, may well be the only chance he gets at a top club.
No guarantee he will do well as it’s completely different to the relatively no pressure job at Brighton.
...First home league game against us
This forum is like the Monty Python sketch where they pay to go in for an argument, except it’s free on here.
Shut up you fool!!
No it isn’t.
What's that?
It's such a great nickname it deserves to be mentioned more than once. There was some competition on the Caf and one of the prizes was to change someone's name.
We gave her "Bicycle seat sniffer". It still makes me giggle
Edit: didn't see she already replied, sorry!
Pickers out for a month and only one fit senior keeper available.
Uh-oh spaghettios.
Ego strain after a rare decent performance last Saturday?
Blues out in force last night, laughing at us. Hahaha how can they laugh at anyone. think liverpool losing gives them life.
Atleast them going down will give us some enjoyment if we don’t get back on track, I’m sure we will thou.
Everton however are doomed. No way are they staying up this season.
It’s only 5 points.
Once Haaland starts with his usual injuries we will see a very different Man City.
I suspect he will suddenly stop being injured as much. No idea how Ped does it to be honest.
Horse placenta and inhalers. Plus the owners will know where his family lives if he plays below par.
I know it’s Troy fecking Deeney but still this hyperbolic wankfest over Haaland is physically nauseating…
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/62791018
‘Unstoppable' Erling Haaland could redefine striker role for next 10 years
Just had an argument with a City fan who is adamant the club deserve a Champions League trophy because of what they've been through and what they've given to football.
14 years of sportswashing has truly made them by far the most vile fanbase in the country. They deserve nothing but relegation to the fourth tier for cheating the system and ruining the game for over a decade
What on fecking earth is that guy smoking?
Just shows how brainwashed they are. All they have done is attempt to kill the competitiveness of the English game, and they have very nearly succeeded. They all know they have cheated in every way possible to get where they are.
Someone on 5 live before going on about how great it is to have the world's best striker in the PL after we had to watch the Ronaldo/Messi era from afar.
Fairytale.
Jesus christ I thought I was sick of these cheats before. It's now even more nauseating. Just seen a tweet from the BBC wanking over the fact the human rights t shirt wearer now has more champions league goals than Romario, Van Basten and Johann fecking Cruyff.
I just bought next weeks TV magazine, open it and see a picture of the ugly feck.
I fecking hate them.
I hate what footballs become
To be beaten to worthy premier league titles the way we have by a team doing what they have had pushed me to the edge
Now they have one good window against a net billion spent of blood money and the press are decrying all questions of ffp against them. Then you’ve got var idiocy, play acting, time wasting. You watch 50 mins of 90 mins game now
I’m nearly done at the mo
Haaland is a fecking robot with an unquenchable thirst for scoring goals, created by a mad German scientist.
Perfect for Guardiola’s brand of ruthlessly effective robotic soccer.
The Haaland train is coming unfortunately.. Had a small walk down the local (norgie) team the other day and first city/haaland shirt spotted. pretty similar to solskjar and his dodgy agent mate.. footballing terms - great, but just greedy/ignorant/stupid.. haaland is good; his career well handled though - best team in norway; red bull - dortmund (all - no pressure etc but you can shine), city. we'll see - tougher times ahead and if he is leading vocal playing twice a week; his hamstrings will not like that
Haaland being compared to Messi and Ronaldo now
Yeah just like them. Administration fee alone
I just love watching a bloke pass it off run like something out of lord of the rings into the box and and boot it in. Messi in his pomp stuff
I Just think Haaland has the potential to make football over the next 10 years as dull as ditchwater, he could actually destroy the game as we know it, turn it into a form of Australian Rules football, the Jonah Lomu of football
Yet they have the biggest revenue in the World. Makes sense. Definitely legit. Seriously, why the British media aren't digging into the shenanigans at this cheating club more is beyond me
Ohh Sevilla definitely knew what they were doing with this tweet. Love it
774 fans! They all went then?
Anyone know if the traffic is bad in Seville?
As long as he can break them in about three years before he goes to Real
He will be gone before he gets the chance to break any overall goal scoring records. But Salah will be nervous about his single season goalscoring record.
Just watched Abu Dhabi’s goals from last night. It’s like Haaland is fecking invisible and the defenders don’t even see him.
Me too. Still to this day, sometimes when I see bicycle in the street, I smile, thinking how it would look like to other people if I just smell the seat. Then I remember my age and walk away. There was some competition on the Caf and one of the prizes was to change someone's name.

it is, they gave some great nicknames those days, I got the best one, much better that 2 girls and a cup. Had no idea what that was, so I googled it.... I managed to delete it from my memory, liar. It's such a great nickname it deserves to be mentioned more than once.
Would swear I heard all that somewhere else. It's all so simple and seemingly no club can get it right."Nobody is saying we should spend money for the sake of it. Equally, you could argue that City and Chelsea have spent lots and won leagues and European cups. Nobody is saying it’s that simple. They not do the dishes in Scouseland?Haaland has the potential to make football over the next 10 years as dull as ditchwater
Anything to do with that idiot should be purged from existence.I think she deserve a namechange to the one me and Billy Blaggs gave her!
Me too. Still to this day, sometimes when I see bicycle in the street, I smile, thinking how it would look like to other people if I just smell the seat. Then I remember my age and walk away.

What’s happened to green and gold glazers out? lol
They're not playing Liverpool for a while.
No wonder nobody, especially not their owners, take them seriously. The contrast between Uniteds "protests" and those of Liverpool under Hicks and co. couldn’t be bigger...!
Corner turned, dawn check = 'Not False', Norwich scarfs folded and packed into suitcase under the bed.
Won't be needing those until November.
I will never despise a football club and fan base more
Having to listen to the likes of Neville weekly. Now you’ve got Savage saying they have a better squad than us and Keane saying they are ‘nailed on’ for the top 4. What a difference a few weeks makes
Gutted it only took Ten Haag two games to see how shit Maguire is, he might actually be a genius.
I'm a bit pissed off that we played them back into form. If we'd hammered them again, Ten Hag would have been under a lot of pressure.
Yeah that's the difference between Solskjaer, Rangnick and ten Hag, The latter will drop a player not playing well and won't care about pissing them off.
Really surprised he dropped Fred, Maguire and Ronaldo. Even though it was the right thing to do.
Unfortunately they're playing average but getting 3 points on the board while doing it which is what you need to do.
As shit as they are, they're climbing the table, i'm hoping a few teams are clinical against them and stop them building more confidence. Dont expect them to finish above us at all but it's slightly annoying seeing us both underperform but them manage to win their games while doing it
Its not what you need to do at all. Its nice to do on an off day. If your tactic is to get outplayed but get lucky on the counter and get lucky with a few decisions then its quite clearly not sustainable. Ask Solskjaer.
Yesterday was like how they went to PSG under Ole and won 3-1, everyone was expecting title challenges and Fergie's car park space to be filled. Its not like they're stopping teams creating chances, and their own conversion ratio has been off the scale. Not sustainable over a season, could cause a few upsets but so can Brentford Leeds and Palace.
..I've only seen highlights so on watching the actual game, what do you feel cost you guys yesterday? Having watched games from you both this season you look far the better side and I know anything can happen but I was shocked to see the result
reply by Arse fanEven Ian Wright, the biggest Gooner cheerleader around, called it a foul. If that was the other way round - Eriksen on Odegaard - you'd be demanding the foul. Eriksen had two hands in his back, a knee into his thigh, and kicked through his foot. Three points of contact with no ball played. Foul.
Arsenal passed it around better than us, yep granted, but very few times got into positions to actually hurt us. We had more shots on target and always looked threatening going forward. You've got an Arsenal team three years in the making... Arteta has had three years more than Ten Hag to stamp his identity on that team, and it showed at times as Arsenal looked better in possession and well drilled. Yet you lost 3-1 to a team that is littered with new players who are still getting to grips with the manager's style of play. There are unfamiliar relationships all over the pitch... a completely new back four who had played less than 300 minutes together, new faces in midfield, and a winger who had completed two training sessions - and we had another winger playing centre-forward. Taking that into account, and the form you were in, you had a great chance to win at Old Trafford yesterday but you've only done that once in 15 years and maybe it's a mentality thing... you come to a big ground against a huge team and you fold. We've seen it before and it happened again. I'd like to think that in three years time, Ten Hag's United won't be as soft and spineless as Arteta's Arsenal...
reply by Liverpool fansMaguire grabbing Nketiah was more of a foul, not given.look at that rugby tackle by Mctominay , if that was Xhaka it would rightly be a red. The only reason for the bias is because it’s man utd at home. Not the biggest case of cheating we’ve suffered at old trafford, that game that ended our 49 unbeaten run was an even bigger travesty. There are a few ways an inferior team can beat us, one of those is getting a major helping hand from the officials, like yesterday.
You’ve spent nearly a billion and won nothing for 6 years. Parking the bus with 11 players in a straight line across the 6 yard box has no courage in it. It’s the new United way, spend a billion and pretend to be the underdog. Play cowardly football and pretend it’s temporary. Let’s see what Ten hag can win in English football before you compare him to Arteta.
Oh god hook this to my veins, we're just missing Cantona now A few decent, lucky results playing absolutely shit. A few crazily expensive signings that look ill-suited to the PL. And right on cue, as under Solksjaer, as under Rangnick, as under Van Gaal, out from the woodwork they crawl.
Ten Hag won't be there in 3 years.
When are your rabble organising the next Glazers protest lad? Saving that for another rainy day are you?
...This c*nt is back now hahahahahahahahaahahaha. They're like clockwork these idiots. Literally 15 days ago you were planning to get a game called off you were all so terrified to lose, Gary Neville has written off your new centre back after one game and calling him a midget and ye were all begging human rights abusers to buy you and also some random English billionaire fella and now you're all crawling onto a Liverpool forum calling Arsenal spineless. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha I actually can't stop laughing. And just when I think I can I see "In three years" and "Erik Ten Hag's United" in the same sentence. fecking idiots.
I reckon we could lose the next few and still finish ahead of this lot.
To be fair though, they have improved, if only that they've found a manager willing to drop Maguire and Ronaldo.
As an aside, Antony straight away earns himself into the c*nts list. Martinez snidey as feck against you guys, we all kmow what Bruno is like, McTominay just tries to kick anything that moves.
There's a lot to dislike about that shower again.
McTominay plays for literally any other team and he spends half the season out with suspension, he's not even a shithouse, he's just a very clumsy very technically limited player, which other team looks at him and says "I wish we had a McTominay in our midfield"?, fecking no one.
You can kind of tell when a decent football manager turns up because he makes sensible decisions that any armchair fan would make. He's dropped Maguire. Just think about that. Ole and Rangnick failed to do that. That's the intelligence level of the average football manager. Astonishing really.
It's almost like he's picking decent players and using decent tactics like some normal person. I think they will finish second behind City. Then next season they'll finish 6th. That's their cycle now.
They won’t finish in the top 4. I’ll be back to remind you in a Month when they’re midtable again
Fully agree with this. The injury prone Varane will get, er, predictably injured again leaving Maguire to partner Martinez for the rest of the season. Crackajack, fandabidosy!
Cashmoro will not be able to play every game either so back to McFred for the second part of the season. Let's see how 8 Hags copes with not actually being able to drop players because there's no one decent left to pick. Then we'll see his true genius, like we did with Ralf The Grandfather, or Ole the Possessor of Wheels.
United are shit, they won't finish in the top 4.
That result against us has lifted their morale but as soon as they get a defeat (probably away at Palace) the malaise will rear its head again and the fan pressure will ramp up.
While I agree that Man Utd's current playing style is reactionary and has a ceiling well below title challenge level, I wouldn't hang too much hope on their luck running out. The luck is a feature, not a bug. It's telling that their revival started with a clearly offside goal that even VAR's crayon crew couldn't make convincing (although enough to stick up for their mates with). End of the day, tien Dag is a genius for benching 200m pounds of investment for people who can run, they will probably contend for top four on that basis alone.
It’ll be interesting to see how the manager incorporates Casemiro into his revolutionary “getting the players to run about for a change” philosophy, especially given the outlay.
1 or 2 more wins and they'd be calling Ten Haag best manager in the world and United will be title contenders. Willing to bet a tenner on it
Most likely win the next 2 anyway, Palace away & Leeds home in the league.
I wouldn't bet on that. United have won their last 4 games by basically playing on the counter and conceding possession, even at home. 29% possession against us and 39% yesterday. The two games where they had more than 60%, they lost. They'll be expected to dominate the game against both Palace and Leeds.
They aren't finishing above us ffs. They've been extremely lucky in a lot of games and have hardly no injuries.
I despise the modern game where trolls like Robbie Savage have an opinion and a platform to promote it.
This Man Utd side, the way I see it, is very much like your typical marital argument, it has 3 sides. One side, the other side and the truth. They're not as bad as the early season results, and they're not as good as the recent ones. The truth is they're somewhere in the middle. The reaction to both has been ridiculous but totally expected nowadays.
That tube on 5 live, Izzy someone or other was in a tizzy earlier. If Ten Hagg can do this in 3 weeks, what can he do in a season. followed by lets not get carried away, followed by the fans should be excited, followed by they have a long way to go, closed by they're definitely on the right track now.
Just need 6-8 more favors from the Refs and they'll be top 4 contenders.
As good a place as any to ask, does anyone know how Pogba is doing since he left them?
Having knee surgery which might keep him out until after the WC, hasn't played for them yet. Has had three new, shocking haircuts. Choreographed a great new celebration with Lingard which neither has been able to use yet.
Also, there has been a story about his brother trying to extort money out of him and Paul has denied using a Voodoo curse against Kylian Mbappé, instead claiming the Voodoo was to prevent injuries to himself - just the normal run of mill stuff for the French lads, without the usual smattering of sex tapes and blackmail.
A voodoo curse against Mbappe? I do wonder if maybe Peter was right all along and thats whats fecked it all up. fecking Pogba.
Definitely see Palace causing them problems to be honest
Before or after the refs gift them match winning decisions?
There was a Utd fan on too who I thought was quite good. He was saying about Rashford, that yes he scored 2 but his overall play was terrible, and how Fernandes was fuming at him for not closing down his man on a few occasions, that this kind of performance has been going on for a while like that. He was quickly shot down saying he was a negative git , he scord 2 therefore he played great and all was good. Kind of shows what Five Live has become when the more serious callers get laughed at
He always just looks a poor footballer to me but he's close to 100 United goals and is a threat on the break. But then Ronaldo offers nothing now other than goals either but would still outscore Rashford given the same minutes. Rashford is the kind of attacker who is only a threat on the counter which United are now back to being, a counter attacking side. He at least has the pace as well.
They are always one bad result away from a disaster.
Isn't it usually one bad result away from another 150 million to spend? I.e. the last bad result they had.
they’re calling themselves the resurgent devils over on RedCafe
They've misspelled repugnant.

Fixed that for you.
Intermittent fastingWhat on earth is that last post!?!?!
Who typically starts? It’s interesting how the “best right back in the world” never gets picked to start for England.
We must have Cafu playing for us.

I think Klopp goes this season. They aren’t winning any trophies this year.
If you read this you think we did a bolton circa 2000s against arsenal. The Delusion.. My God.
Walker or TrippierWho typically starts?
Oppo fans on there cotton on pretty quick to singing to the RAWK hymnsheet of complaining about United and City in every other post and bigging up Liverpool
