Joking aside, I presume managers and the analytic guys at PL clubs have a league table and spreadsheets that calculates where points need to be won and what the running points tally looks like against par. It's s good measure of where you should be based on the laws of averages.

There's a guy on there right now saying that the current Tottenham team would beat the United team of 2008 6-0. His rationale is that pressing football never existed before the last year or so and that we would be so shell-shocked by it that we would fold.

Funnily enough even though we're boring as shit to watch half the time I think because of our possession type game we're well suited to deal with pressure nowadays.
