RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

While that particular titbit is load of old made up shite, if it was true it must heart warming for Barnes considering a good deal of his own fans used to sing "5-4-3-2-1, Barnes is on the run trigger trigger, shoot that N-word, 5-4-3-2-1" at him over the course of a match.

At least other fans appreciated him.

That was a term of endearment in Jamaica and the England of the 80's and early 90's.

Things are heating up in a meltdown thread.

In terms of overall squad strength I see it like this.

City
Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool
United
Spurs
Everton
Newcastle

However when you take into account the managers I think it's more like this:

City
Liverpool
Chelsea
Arsenal
United
Everton
Spurs
Newcastle

A little something I found, despite them saying Chelsea and Arsenal having better overall strength of course when you take into account Rodgers he easily eclipses Mourinho, Wenger and hell, even van Gaal :D

Least some of them have a bit of sense
Brendan has done a fantastic job, but do you really think he has already overtaken two very experienced and proven managers in Wenger and Mourinho?

What are they smoking over there?! Since when is Brent a better manager than Wenger and Mourinho? He's gotta win stuff first.

They're mad the lot of em.

Current prediction:
1. Arsenal
2. Liverpool
3. City
4. Chelsea
5. Everton
6. Spurs
7. United
8. Southampton

That place is a goldmine, some cracking ones and I'm only on page one of the

"LFC Squad vs Main Rivals Squads 2014/15"

Of course we aren't considered rivals, and their rivals are, of course, Chelsea, City and Arsenal which I could understand if they had even a 1/4 of a decent defence or they hadn't just lost the 3rd best player in the world.

In other words; Brenton is better than Mourinho and Wenger and van Gaal is not as good as any of them...

...k.

Bit harsh, our gooners are pretty sound

Yeah I was harsh and take it back. I'm just going by the few I've seen post but I won't name names.

I could only name about 3 Gooners and 3 Liverpool supporters here to be honest.

I actually prefer our resident Liverpool supporters to the Arsenal ones. I can't think of any Arsenal supporter here who isn't so, so dull, arrogant and basically a bit of a WUM.
Apart from one Gooner, all the others are sound. All the liverpool fans here are insufferable.

Barney is a bit deluded, yep. Redman5 doesn't belong on this planet and PickledRed is just ridiculous. But for some reason they don't seem as cocky as the 3 Arsenal supporters I see post.

Grinner's alright.

Will someone link me to the United - Adidas thread on RAWK? I can't seem to find it.

You have to admire their optimism though, still believing every year it will be different and still managing to be surprised when their annual spring bottle job occurs

They're trying so hard to find negatives in the kit deal

Rumor has your kit next season will be £90-100.

I believe there are performance targets before you get the full £75m but that hasn't been leaked yet.

I think the numbers must have been inflated by both parties to suit United. Nobody pays that much to a 7th place team.

challenging the league? You will struggle to make Europa with Van Gaal's hoof ball.

The van Gaal hoofball one particularly struck me, was this excellent football Holland were playing at the World Cup a plan B then because they didn't have a gangly enough striker up front?

How much time will he get? If United finish outside the top 4, will he get sacked? Van Gaal is usually a slow starter. Has been at Ajax, Bayern and Barca too i think.

TheRevanchist
Why people insist on this? On Ajax, he won the UEFA cup on his first season. On Barca, he won the league and the Copa Del Rey on the first season. On Bayern he won the league and the DFB Pokal on the first season.

Once they get their teeth into a FACT (aka perception), then they sure do love to run with it!

The resident scousers are an insufferable bunch, so much so, that I have them all on ignore bar one.

The Arsenal fans can get very touchy even when the criticisms are valid, but they're nowhere near as bad as the scouse bunch on here who became arrogant as you can get last season.

Moyes took the invincibility you had and destroyed it. And it doesn't make any difference who you have as a manager all that is gone.

2 decades of winning non-stop is erased by one bad season. And 2 decades of failing to win the Premier League is likewise erased by one 2nd placed finish.

The Arsenal fans are actually a good laugh until you mention Ozil or Wilshere negatively, then you run!

It's called wishful thinking. If everyone believes something hard enough, they think it will happen.

Like Liverpool fans believing they can win the league, or Yeovil Town fans believing they could beat Real Madrid.

Who is that Revanchist fella? It strikes me as strange how he can stand posting regularly at that place. I think the caf is generally tolerant of other club's fans but I still see some awkward/hostile exchanges between some of them here and the United ones. Can't imagine what it's like over there. Maybe there are a fair few sensible ones at RAWK who are drowned out by the poem writing, mouth breathing majority.
