RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Implying we are historically wealthy? How exactly is that a criticism?

Oh, I forgot. Liverpool don't use money. They buy players with poems and pay them in songs.
It's all about the net spend with Liverpool, we must have missed the memo saying that the title goes to the team with the lowest net spend, fact.... Oh that would be arsenal.. After Liverpool are done in this window, spending PSG like amounts on Southampton, Swansea players, we'll hear all about net spend. Obviously they don't spend money like regular clubs.

Why are they complaining he's not at United?

He's just finished the World Cup, he's joining up at Carrington on Weds, how quickly did they want him starting?

I think they are confusing LVG with doctor Who.

Just read that beaut in their Van Gaal thread.

One 2nd place finish, no trophies and Brenton is like the 2nd coming of Christ over there. Deluded doesn't even begin to sum up their fanbase

It's going to be an awful shock to them when they bomb out of everything by Christmas.

That defence is still shocking and they have lost a player that was directly involved in a little under 50% of their league goals last season.

It's worse than when we lost Ronaldo and replaced him Valencia.

That kit deal thread just keeps on giving --
Man Utd are such a corporate tart its untrue!

Have to give them some credit, though --
This thread is making red cafe rawk meltdown thread too easy.
RAWK statement:

Any negative views in this thread are the views of the bed-wetting gobshites who post in it and do not represent the views of RAWK in general.

Thank you...

adidas sambas going in the bin

I can foresee Nike sponsoring them when Warrior's deal runs out.

If they start chucking out adidas stuff they'll all have to walk around naked.

Going to be very, very interesting to see what happens when us, Madrid, Barca, etc. go to renew our deals.

Liverpool, Madrid, Barca... you know, that classic grouping of two of the best clubs in the world and that one that won the League Cup against Cardiff on penalties in 2012. The world waits with bated breath.

I believe there are performance targets before you get the full £75m but that hasn't been leaked yet.

'4pool' on RAWK, Adidas insider.

But logically, there's a lot more to it than meets the eye. With respect, Adidas aren't gonna pay Yernited more than twice as much as they pay the European Champions and biggest club in the world for just selling shirts.

Well, someone probably got a quick wristy out of it too. But that's surely just usual practice with these sorts of deals...

But the best part is the many posters explaining why the deal doesn't make financial sense for Adidas, 'cos dey ent gonna sell *** many sheeerts is dey?' I can just see the execs at adidas reading that and thinking 'Oh crumbs, £750m is a lot of money, isn't it? Maybe we should have got some of our experts to check whether or not it was actually worth it for us before signing the contract. Sorry boys, dropped the ball there a bit!'

From supporters of the club that are 'Coming to America' to gain some fans,

Idiots. 90% of the fans of the top clubs in every european leagues, and liverpool, are from foreign countries and have never visted the stadiums. I'll bet Ive been to anfield more times than at least half the posters on Rawk.

PS. Anfield is a shitehole.

Coming from RAWK, a website that gets slagged on other LFC fansites for its proportion of foreign fans (actually, that isn't strictly true, it's the way these foreign fans buy into the RAWK groupthink of actually typing scouse online like 'la' and 'shithouse' that gets slagged), that doesn't really seem like an insult.

One for our resident Arses :smirk:
it might very well all get creamed off by your chinless speccy ginger overlords. Your club isn't so much a football club these days as a cash register, it should actually a worry for you, in the sense that it shows you don't have to actually be successful on the pitch in order to pull in revenue that can be skimmed.

Before you know it you'll be Arsenal

The post is brilliant going on about 'don't need to win it, don't need to win anything, just need to be in it'; a bit rich coming from a club publishing books about their epic second place season, I think.

They're so deluded and ahead of themselves it baffles me, the Liverpool fans on here are nothing compared to the insanity of RAWK. I don't think that forum represents their fanbase very well at all, ridiculous.

RAWK's LVG page has been stuck on this question for the past hour now....I guess the bitterness prevents a yes but they can't come up eight a reason to justify no.

Someone will get a bucket load of cash thrown at them to make the switch. Which star is willing to give up CL football for a year to do so is the question?

As it stands I only think they need a CB to be competitive in the league, these lads have a CL size squad without the pressure that playing in Europe brings.

You think they'll make the CL next season?

God they're a bunch of retards, reading the Adidas kit deal thread and they all come off as incredibly bitter and stupid.

"I think it will improve the discussion if you stop using the "guaranteed" and "750" in the same sentence.."

The guaranteed £750MGBP was on the statement to the stock exchange wasn't it?

They just can't handle it, they can't accept that Man Utd can get so much more money from sponsorships than Liverpool. It must hurt even more that it came after their best season in years and United's worst.

ArseMania, just like RAWK, is full of knobs that dismiss every thing non-Arsenal and they're infatuated with obscure players. Actually, the knobs:sane posters ratio might be worse on Arsemania

I'm not surprised at all.

I only need to look at some of the Arsenal fans on here to know the level of their forums.

Stupid comment really, as the very same is being said about posters on here according to other rival forums.

People in general are idiots, myself included, so it's only natural that there will be idiot posters around the place.

People making sweeping generalizations like this need to give it a rest.

I'm waiting for Van Gaal to prove just how good a coach he is by saying he doesn't need new players and he will go with what he's got.

Yeah, because LvG has never won or done anything right enough...

“It is a shame they did not win the title - but I hope we will win it this season. I went to Partizan and won the title. I went to Benfica and won the title. Now I have joined Liverpool and want to win the title, 100%.”

Markovic on signing. It's on lads!

Unfair comment, some of these Arsenal fans have been around for years and they've had plenty of intelligent conversations and debates.

We go again?

On Tuesday evening Liverpool confirmed their fourth transfer of the summer with Lazar Markovic arriving from Benfica for around £20million (joining Emre Can, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert), as the club look to replace Barcelona-bound Luis Suarez.

Southampton's Dejan Lovren and Swansea's Ben Davies also look likely to join, whilst Antoine Griezmann, Jackson Martinez and Wilfried Bony are just several of an extraordinary number of players linked in recent weeks. Someone may need to oil the workings of the revolving door at Anfield.

With that in mind, Mediawatch thought it would revisit this quote from Brendan Rodgers, made in December regarding Tottenham's scattergun approach to replacing Gareth Bale:

"Obviously there have been difficulties from Bale leaving," Rodgers said. "It shows that when you have someone with that X factor, even eight, nine or 10 players can't replace that.

"That was why we fought like tigers to keep Luis here because he is a top player, he is a performer. There are many good players but very few who perform week in, week out to that level.

"Luis is a player that we want to have for many years and build a team around. I've got every confidence that will be the case. I think he is at the happiest point he has been. He is pillar of the group.

"I've got to know him as a human being as well as a player, and a lot of what was said about him in the past couldn't be further from the truth."

And to think that the transfer to Barcelona was in works from last season itself. Either Rodgers is stupid, or he just made the whole club and supporters look like one.

I actually prefer our resident Liverpool supporters to the Arsenal ones. I can't think of any Arsenal supporter here who isn't so, so dull, arrogant and basically a bit of a WUM.

"I recall, too, a good friend, a Man United fan since boyhood, telling me after we’d watched Johnny Barnes tearing his team apart at Old Trafford in 1990, that our man was better than Best."

WOW.

While that particular titbit is load of old made up shite, if it was true it must heart warming for Barnes considering a good deal of his own fans used to sing "5-4-3-2-1, Barnes is on the run trigger trigger, shoot that N-word, 5-4-3-2-1" at him over the course of a match.

At least other fans appreciated him.
