RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Speaking of the "We go again" Liverpool meme, did anyone else notice Rooney use it on his Twitter a couple of times?, it made me laugh and it must of been a dig at them.:D

Did I read that the meticulously brilliant, all-knowing genius that is PhaseOfPlay has vacated his kingly position as the footballing oracle of RAWK? How will they cope without his gift?

Stevie Me has to stay on his feet before thinking of containing anybody.
Poor Stevie G. He's never going to live that moment down. Probably even way after his retirement too.

And the worst part is, Terry got some sort of redemption for "that slip" buy winning the UCL again.

Don't see any sort of redemption for poor Stevie

It's his own fault really. Acting like some kind of American sports movie hero and generally being a pretentious twat, it's no wonder people are schadenfreude. If it had just been some random player, who hadn't posed for the camera in a cringeworthy huddle and shouted slogans formulated in broken English when they clearly expected to have the title in the bag, people wouldn't care a jot. Lots of players have slipped. None have so shamelessly invited subsequent ridicule as Slippy G has.

My favourite so far, from before the game last night - RAWK assuming they'd beat both Basel and Ludogrets home and away:

yes. but imagine that scenario

r. madrid 2-1 lfc

lfc 2-1 r.madrid

both teams got 15 pts. 5 wins 1 lose

GD will decide the group leader

No mate, Real Madrid having more points than Basel will decide the group leader.

Allen's reputation on RAWK has improved a lot since he got injured. He's pretty much the key man now after Danny.

That happened with the Caf and Jonny Evans tbf, and look how that turned out.

I'm completely bewildered at how highly Evans is rated on here considering how under par he's been for us for nearly two years now.

They will get slapped off of Madrid.

Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema running at that defence. James will have Gerrard trying to mark him. Kroos and Modric will just pass the ball around Henderson and Allen who run after them like headless chickens.

They could possibly catch Madrid on the counter with the pace of Sterling and Sturridge, but I really can't see Madrid not scoring a few in each game.

Yeah, it's all Stevie's grandstanding that has caused so much piss-taking after they missed out on the title. He really does cast himself as the hero of this great story that will end in Liverpool glory some day.

Phil Thompson believes Liverpool will beat Real Madrid. Thommo not surprising anybody there.
Funny how all Liverpool pundits are blatantly open with their bias whenever giving their opinions. Whenever there is mention of United dropping points they always have to throw in "of course I'm quite happy about that" etc.etc. None of them seem to be mature enough to cover the game with any objectivity. Wankers.

That holds for all Liverpool midfielders. Lucas Leiva was crap, got injured and then suddenly became the best defensive midfielder in the world.

That's nothing, Henderson missed one game and became the reason they almost won the title, his absence the reason they lost it. (not Gerrards misfortune, never, nothing to do with it).

Phil Thompson has been.on norwegian tv a few times and I honestly don't like him. Thats me being polite.

I loved this nugget from him:

“Real Madrid will be completely different [to Basel],” Thompson told Sky Sports News HQ.

“Liverpool will be the underdogs and that’s what Basel were on Wednesday. So many teams go there and think ‘yes we should be winning this’.

It's amazing how now in his eyes, being the underdog also makes you the favourite...

I don't see why they're panicking over at Rawk. Basel are a good side, the Bayern Munich of Switzerland, and they were at home for that game. They have a different mentality than the likes of Norwich or Sunderland.

There are still 4 games to play, and that includes a tie against Basel at Anfield. I actually expect Pool to make second place.

Bayern Munich of Switzerland or not, Liverpool still should have got a result there IMO. If Real Madrid beat them twice and ludogorets beat Basel home and away, they're fecked.

Liverpool fans: why do you think about your club spending all that money on squad players rather 2-3 stars??

Liverpool fans: what do you feel about your team needing a DM which would mean Gerrard not having a place on the team?

no they won't. Madrid's defense is terrible.

A draw would've been ideal, but its not the end of the world.

Ludogorets are never gonna win home and away against Basel.

Liverpool have to get better results themselves than Basel do vs Madrid, and then do the business against Basel at Anfield, in addition to beating Ludogrevets. This will be made easier when Sturridge comes back.

But this is the Rawk thread, so I'll digress. The reactions to this loss over there are enjoyable to watch.

Sort of defeats the point of an underdog really.

I think they'll lose both games vs real but basle will draw at least one game vs ludogorets. I don't think they're out of it yet, they'll park the bus at Real and try for a draw and hope basle drop points too.

TBF I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they got something from the Madrid games.

Against the better teams they've always been game raising cnuts.
I would. Their defense is actually even worse than our defense. Can you imagine Sakho anc co handling Ronaldo and co? I think that it'll be ugly, especially on Madrid.

You cannot have watched Match of the 80s on youtube with the footage of him warming up in just his jockstrap.
