RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

You have to wonder though what the fecking point of last season was when you consider how cheaply and willingly we seem to be throwing away the results of our hardwork. We've been dreadful in these two champions league games...we could be knocked out with a game to spare. If we don't improve quickly then we'll be out at the group stage and we won't be back in the competion at all next season, which would just be, well, fecking humiliating.

Bless

On Balotelli but quickly switches to a greater issue.

You know sweet FA if you think he's even close to the biggest problem right now. Now their goal, I've seen that sort of standard from Skrtel and Lovren in pubs. Not even in a football match either, just stumbling about, bumping into each other having feck all clue what's happening.
Yep

Is it me or have they strayed from the good old days of blaming everyone but their own team? It seems like a realisation that they're a bit shit again, which is no fun IMO.

They'll hammer Burnley or some such and be back on track soon.

Shame they don't have Norwich to put 12 past and be the best in the world again.

After the game i wrote "let's all laugh at Liverpool hahhaha" message on facebook to my friend who support Liverpool. He usually replied it was the ref, bad day or something like that. Today he started: Markovic is shit, Gerrard is shit, Balotelli is shit, Sterling is shit, Coutinho is shit.... and i was stunned. I don't remember when he said the last time that a Liverpool player is shit.

This would be an amazing season for us fans if we were actually any good ourselves. Frustrating.

'Dear Mario,
In this crazy world we live in, someone you've never heard of or will probably never meet, feels, as a Liverpool fan, that its ok to write to you on an internet page to say welcome. But here I am, and there you are, somewhere, preparing for the Spurs game today.

But I'm writing this with real meaning when I say welcome, because you are now at a club that is different, and a club where the fans genuinely care about their team. Now I'm quite sure every fan of any team would say that, but at Liverpool, you're not just a player, you a Liverpool player and that means you're part of our family. You are now one of us, and you are now family (you're welcome round for tea anytime mate).

Welcome to a bond with a set of fans that will not just sing your name, but look out for you, welcome to a ground where the feeling is different, a sense of history, family and warmth, of times shared and where the outside world and press are invited in but never truly part of it, welcome to a place, a sense of place, a culture that sets us apart from the rest of them.

I've read about your upbringing, it must be very odd to have your everyday shared with millions, your history available for analysis and comment by strangers, and then to be called 'crazy' by these people who haven't a clue. They are the crazy folk, they are the ones who think its ok to write about other people as if they are professional pyschologists, mind readers and judges of character. Not you.

Well, welcome to a club that sets apart from that world. Liverpool is a club that does it differently, where the emotions are heartfelt not invented, the flags are fabric not plastic and the noise deafeningly sincere.

Liverpool's great players have all been special, and different and gifted and marvellous to watch, and all of them acknowledge the club has a special place in their hearts. You are brilliant at your job, wonderful to watch, and you arriving here has made a lot of people excited. You have the gift of creating emotion in men's hearts, that's the real meaning of football, and I hope I speak for all Liverpool fans when I say, have the best time of your life here, have a great career and score lots of goals sure, but really, truly, have a great life whilst at our club.

In some ways, Mario, welcome home.'

Always my favorite part of their fans - the biggest hypocrites around who refuse to criticize anything about their own team.

After the Middlesborough match, I got a message from my friend about how it was such a great, heart-filled performance by gutsy players who held their nerve during PKs. Can you imagine if United fans tried to celebrate a result like that - at home, against Middlesborough, in the League Cup, and needed 30 PKs?

With all due respect, you're completely wrong. You couldn't get more of a clone of Pirlo in the holding role than Gerrard.

Just look at the squad we had in 2009 , a world class striker Torres Gerard at his peak arguably the best midfield in Europe at this time with masheranno, alonso
And carragher and hypia

Best midfield in the world

Just remember, 2009 was when Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets were at their peak.

Goodbye, Phase Of Play
though we only ever...knew you on RAWK
you'd shout the odds but you loved to flounce
like Sakho...in his car

Goodbye, Phase of Play
a net tactician in a pair of footy shorts
you had a flipchart for every game
and more opinions than Hoddle and Garth Crooks

Can't understand the bitching about Suárez. We endured 2 and a half infuriating years with him on the side having awful seasons. When things did start to really click for us (end of 12/13) he wasn't even on the pitch.

That is not to say we don't miss him but that we're a team. We've been shite with him and great without him. If he'd been here (and available to play) he might have given us a goal or two and perhaps some results would've been a bit better, but we'd still be playing terribly as a team.

!!

Yep. Apparently he was pissed off at people disrespecting his authority.

Yet 09/10 was the last year they were in the UCL until this year.
Yeah, because Benitez was stupid enough to publicly go after Gareth Barry for Alonso's position. Keep Alonso and they wouldn't have dropped out of the top 4 so soon.

once daniel gets back we'll see how good we are! daniel is a crucial piece to the puzzle, we cannot play without him! any side would struggle in our circumstances. there is no need to worry, everything is on schedule, we must proceed to phase 2! there are icebergs ahead but with rodgers as manager we can navigate them!

Okay which one of youse posted this?

For those that are educated in the sport it is a constant uphill battle to try and get the average supporter to listen to reason. Bless PoP's heart for having the patience to try and educate the masses of RAWK the last couple of years, lord knows most on here are not worth the time.

He's an educator Steve. Don't make fun.

Not sure what your point is. Alonso left in the summer of 2009, and Mascherano left in 2010. Considering how well they did in Europe when Alonso, Gerrard and Mascherano was there it's pretty obvious that they were among the very best in Europe - especially considering how mediocre the rest of their team was.

Maybe PoP really was Brentan afterall and his ego couldn't take the bashing they are giving him right now....

Weird crowd, is that guy that imagined conversations with Suarez still posting of has he moved to barca now?

Aren't Liverpool on about their 25th series of this?
Considering spurs fans made this, it's pretty smart. RAWK realise that the trotters did become millionaires right? Ergo, we'll stumble into a title and live happily ever after. Cushty
