Of course he vicariously won them the Europa league in 2012 too.

He's a legend because he said he'd never manage United or Everton, well maybe never Everton.... Never mind that he's shite and wouldn't have a chance of managing us, just as I'd never get the Liverpool job (too sane, no little man syndrome).

How do you beat PFC Ludogorets Razgrad?

I think we need to be on our toes for our clash with Ludogorets.

They are a fantastic side, full of enthusiasm and support of an entire nation (except all their rivals and their fans) behind them.
They like to play in a formation which were a lot more common in early 90s, 3-6-1. A lop-sided one if you may say so.

They play with 3 CBs and 2 DM in front of them to protect them. Their fullbacks can run all day. As result of that, their number 10 who is one of the greatest talents Eastern Europe has ever produced has close to zero defensive duties and can spread through final balls all day. Wanderson is a far cry from Anderson we all know and love as well, actually a lot thinner and can cause problems with pace. ....so in short, they play 3-2-2-1-2. A very modern formation that caused every team problems last season in CL and EL until they faced better teams like Basel and Valencia (if not mistaken) and were eliminated.

In short to beat them, we need to play better than team and have more quality. We need to play 11 players that can cope with their running and shooting, and they themselves can execute well tactically. I am very confident of our chances, especially if we play 4-4-2 diamond against them with Balotelli marking Moti when they have corners.

Their home shirt is also green, which can be a problem when we play in Sofia, because the pitch there is green as well, and our players may get confused. feck , I hate when a team wears green kits in a football match. They are also a pretty rich team and apparently the Bulgarian Man City, and we've always have problems playing away at Man City, so that should be taken into consideration.

In all hope, I think we possess enough individual quality, tactical nous, and stamina level to cause them problems. They'll be no pushovers though, as they are a formidable opponents with an eagle in their stadium, they'll be watching our movement very slowly. Maybe a game for Borini this one as movement will be very key !

I sort of understand where they are coming from. Whilst their transfer budget has been huge, it was mainly bolstered by the sales of players - Torres, Suarez, etc.

Also, even though they spent £100m+ they will never really be able to compete for the top players as they can't pay the wages. So even though they spent that money, they would only ever be able to get lots of good-ish cheaper players than a 40-60m player. I think Balotelli halved his wages.

Any Liverpool fan saying that they have a small budget is a bit deluded, but in all honesty they cannot really compete with Chelsea, City, Arsenal and us in the transfer window.

Yeah in fairness we dont realise just how important Woodwards commercial deals are in terms of making us competitive moving forward. For all their support Liverpool could struggle with FFP rules. They made a loss of £50 million in 2013 so they will struggle in offering big wages if they have budget targets to reach.

In terms of moaning though its a bit rich. They are probably still offering 60-100K per week and that should be plenty to sign up 99% of players on the market. We talk about the big earners but those wages are reserved for the best players. I am sure plenty of Uniteds first team are on less than 100K per week.

I do see where you are coming from, but the point is despite it being from selling players, players which they have made a huge profit on, because of that they have been able to spend big, they chose to spend it over 10+ players rather than 3-4 top class ones, that was their choice.

And they can't pay the sort of wages we are paying however most clubs can't, and shouldn't for that matter, however they can still pay wages in the 150k+ park as they had a couple players on those wages, Suarez was one of those.

So although not ludicrous, it's not like they can only offer 30-40k a week.

I have no facts or in the know but isn't one of Liverpool's issues that, like arsenal, they pay well for average quality, so Johnson is on 100k+ where as his ability should get him 50k, if you add this up over all the positions the wage bill is huge with little room for quality. Also the likes of Gerrard are on a wedge whereas we reduced salaries for giggs Scholes evra, rio extra in their latter years ( probably heavily incentivised). Anyway my point being that Liverpool have a significant wage budget but as with transfers they spread it over lesser quality

Liverpool is pathetic to think that their transfer policy will make us champions anytime soon really. We are were lucky last season. This season we will be exposed as the mediocre team we are who has a mediocre manager

The big teams will score against United, no doubt about that. Can Man Utd score more than they'll concede? 6 goals in 5 games against QPR, MK Dons, Burnley & Swansea would suggest not. Let's not get carried away!

I'm sorry but when did these feckers become the top dog in English footy again. They had a alright season given the fact they had feck all else to play for. We had ONE bad season due to having a numpty in charge (something they can relate to over and over). We sorted our problems and are in the first few games of getting everything working. Now these idiots think were still finished and we aren't a threat to them. Give me a break, they lost their goal machine and are left with a selfish Sturridge, Sterling who is decent but not exactly top 5 in the prem, Balotelli speaks for himself and an absolute cnut of a captain who is past his best. Their defence is as bad as ours as proved last year, only they had old donkey teeth to bail them out. Our team on paper is better and when it gels fully will run riot against them and most of the league. Plus they just lost against Villa, hardly title contenders. Their season will be over by February/March, without a doubt. Plus i'm pretty sure we are 1 point behind them and have better goal difference even with our shit start. They really are a joke.

You have a point, but its like theres no filter over there. We are all football fans, and we can all be subjective at times, we try to be as objective as we can. When someone over here makes a RAWK'ish post, he is humiliated/laughed at directly, or someone will tag the post as a rawkish post, but literally everytime I go to RAWK and just open the United forum, there is just only idiotic posts and literally nobody correcting them or doing anything, like they all agree that Sterling is better dan di Maria....

I don't know if there is another Liverpool thread so I am writing here. I am just gonna comment about the wages thing.

Suarez was on 200K a week so they did have the money to at leas attract one TOP player with high top, top wages, but they didn't to it for some reason.

But it is the truth that they can't compete with Arsenal and us in the transfermarket (financially), I am not sure about City and Chelsea as they have problems with FFP.

Just, Brandon's comment came in the wrong moment as they have lost against Villa and not Arsenal or United.

Really, is there a serious thread about Liverpool?
