RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

They were better than us first half so who knows, maybe they would actually beat us at full strength. Our squad isn't exactly fantastic but we'll see come the league games eh?

Its fair to say that. It's also fair to say that this game has no bearing whatsoever on how we'd do against them in a competitive match. Certainly we've learned that we won't cope very well with teams that close us down, but I actually think Van Gaal expected that and wanted to see how we'd do.

Bingo. The game was a very good indicator of how things are without being something the players couldn't really handle at this stage of time.

Hopefully we'll get some fresh faces in to combat our weaknesses. God lord I hope we get some fresh faces in to combat our weaknesses.

My Twitter feed is full of people pretending really, really hard that they aren't arsed.

I don't know how they'd celebrate winning the CL, but walking around passively shaking each others hands isn't how I'd do it.

Either did they in the second half to be fair!

The worry for liverpool is their lack of goals in their team, early days for everyone but they have spent 89 million and more to come, but none of it has been spent too improve replacing suarez. We found out when losing ronaldo what it did to us relying on rooney, and liverpool may find out over relying on sturridge to score them the goals could cost them a top 4. I looked at united tonight, they had allot of gears, and players to hit the back of the net in allot of different ways.

Well, yeah. I think Van Gaal had seen enough from the first half to know that sitting back and letting them play, whilst trying to play out from the back ourselves wasn't gonna work against a team prepared to do that much running. He'll have told the lads to get about them in the second half and it worked. I think he's just testing all possible scenarios, as is his wont.

I would be worried for liverpool with what they have spent their money on, more quantity than quality in their ranks. We still need that CM signing to bring it all home

What are they banging about absent players? We too were missing RvP, Januzaj and Welbeck. Not to mention Fellaini :wenger:
Except 2-3 changes their first XI for first game will be same. 2 changes in defense and Sturridge instead of Lambert.

I'm losing faith in Jones..Think we also need a beast ball playing CB! Blackett should be given his chance with the firsts in the new season, hasn't made any mistakes, where as Jones and Smalling are full of them.

They're losing their shit over the full backs, they want to sign two full backs and a CB apparently and a striker.

Liverpool are such a bitter club. I hate it but I love it at the same time cause they're so fun to wind up!

I think the problem there is, you've attempted to look at it logically. Unfortunately you won't make much progress doing that, it's not the way the RAWK works.

Lets be honest, it means little, but it's funny as feck when they were the ones insinuating we'd be preparing excuses for when they won.

Will VG take that chance and throw blackett to the wolves, he may sink or swim, but that is the chance any manager takes with young players. If VG thinks blackett could very much be a young player with man's shoulders, he may not buy a defender.

Rawkite Warrior :

No they didn't. We had 2 chances just in the first 5 minutes after half time. Overall, we were better than them. They had a jammy 5 minute spell and then hit us again on the counter when we were throwing players forward towards the end.

If that's United this season, they're stuffed.
