RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

 I have no idea what he means by that

I bet that if Liverpool signs someone called Gerrard or Gerard (ex Gerard Houllier) then he would be forced to change his name or be known as the guy or the thing.

As tears rolled down my chubby cheeks reading this news, part of me wished to scream..."All is forgiven. Please forgive us who criticized you and don't leave us orphaned."

Most of that stuff has to be joking, doesn't it? They know their forum has a bit of a reputation and are just taking the piss.

Surely.

I actually can't wait till he starts the next game. I bet the sentiment would last oh 5 minutes

The fecker is nailed on to score the winner against us at our match at Anfield.

I wonder how much the songs actually effect him. Literally every ground he goes to rubs one of the worst moments of his life in his face every time he plays.

Is it possible that he's been literally mocked out of the country?

American Caf members need to do everything in their power to make sure that every ground in the MLS is singing the Demba Ba song.

Never forget.

^Made-up quotes^
It amazes me how Rafa is put there randomly in sentences, regardless that the topic has nothing to do with it.

'I am going to do a shit, I wonder what Rafa would have done'.
'Ronaldo is going to win the Ballon D'Or, I wonder if Rafa agrees'.
'I didn't like The Interview, I wonder if Rafa has watched it'.

Feck off, chief! I wonder what Rafa would have said for you.

I wonder if Rafa knows you're writing about him.

He'll be back at some point with Carra

You mean with carra on sky? Because I can't see carra at the club, ever, in a cow hing role

...with the escape goat, perhaps.

Wished he would stay until we can win the league, but playing sparsely. Knowing Stevie though, he'd want to play at every opportunity.
So sad he couldn't win the League with us.

Great, great player and servant! Our captain!
Hopefully, we resign him when we're ready to challenge.

GERRARD RE-SIGNS FOR LIVERPOOL

RyanGiggsOAP.jpg

SG: Phil (Coutinho) is one of the best players we’ve seen in years.
Raheem: Well I thought that as well but RAWK say he’s inconsistent.
SG; RAWK, what’s that mate?.
Raheem: It’s a forum on which Brendan posted that he wished you were his dad.
SG: Look, I’ll send you a postcard.
Raheem: Can’t you just take me in your suitcase?

I would have followed you to the fiery gates of hell of Hades himself, my friend , my leader, our king. King Gerrard The Great.

...

He'll be leaving 10 years (possibly to the day) after handing in a transfer request.

Yeah, but you have to remember that that doesn't count.

Every Liverpool fan when reminded of this, usually when discussing Rooney, says Gerrard's request was a totally different type of thing.

A Captain, a Captain; my Kingdom for a Captain!

There will never be another like him again. Ever. The day Steven George Gerrard puts up his boots, I will forever watch football with an underlying sense of sorrow. I am sure older men who had their own conquering heroes will sympathise. And yet I still think there will never be another like him again. Ever. My kids will grow up worshipping the leather kickers of their day; but I will have to sit them down with disappointment and let them know that those heroes are false idols and that they didn’t have the fortune to be alive when a man turned the odds on its head, again and again, playing with destiny like the Gods.

This sounds silly, it’s exaggerated surely, but it was incredible to watch Gerrard battle and take everyone on the ride with him. Liverpool fans have given Fowler the nickname of ‘God’ but they got that one wrong in my opinion. Only one player in Liverpool’s history deserves to be compared to a deity. And if you were to compare Gerrard to a deity; you’d compare him with Atlas. For he held the sky up, the world on his back; so that Liverpool could see more of the glory days. For 15 years, other stars shone in our constellation; but they faded or were pulled away by the stronger gravity of other celestial bodies. All but one star, for 15 years, he fought the forces; he didn’t succumb; and if need be he would light the sky himself. He became the Alpha and the Omega, whenever we seemed to need it.

But cruelly, he couldn’t control the fates all the time. He is then, just a man. A special kind of man, a leader of men. A Captain. A symbol for others. He followed the path that’s hard to tread. It’s more than football; it’s about life. Find a person that is willing to forgo the easy, the immediate, the instantly gratifying and do it tough. It’s not common, it’s special. This is a long-winded piece to simply say, Steven George Gerrard was special; he was a beacon. If you hadn’t witnessed some of his feats and somebody was telling you his stories; you’d think they were talking about a movie. He made us dream beyond what was reasonably possible. This is what real leaders do and the inspiration they sow into our hearts is why we follow them.

Stevie will soon have to put down his sword and the load he has been carrying. He kept the darkness at bay, but the war rages on…A Captain, a Captain; my Kingdom for a Captain!

What is it with anyone on that forum having the sudden and misguided epiphany that they are some sort of contender for poet laureate?

It's ridiculous. Who reads this sort of overly emotive forced sentimental drivel that would be akin to a 13 year old Take That fan in the mid 90's and think 'that's beautiful la'

What a fecking laughable bunch of morons.

I WALKED ALONE like a cloud
That floats on high o'er roads and flats,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of red clad jobless twats;
Beside the pitch, beneath the stand,
No Premier League medal in my hand.

Our sweet angel, our golden boy
Twas slated the season for unending joy
A dance he led so sweet and true
Blessed by Shanks, a medal overdue
The sky a crimson against a team in Blue
We rallied, we toiled and we won 3-2!
Our Prince, wet eyed 'This does not Slip'
One hand on our prize with a tightening grip
Oh Steven, Hark!, oh how I wish you were my Brother!
My father, or Uncle or even my mother!
Exhaulted on high for all of football
Ye can naer be replaced, never shall thee fall
Forsooth, tears flowed at that City huddle
Then again at Anfield when his feet did muddle
Alas! Our man often a rock of composure
We won feck all cos cnut fell over.

Nobody is credited with the Guy Ritchie comparison quote in that poster, did the director just throw that in himself? And the way it's ..... On to the zoo quote to make it seem as if they added that bit as well
That's just wow..

So how many Gerrard related books will be released this summer? You'd think Paul Tompkins alone will manage atleast 5.

He really believed he had won it.

Stupid twat.

I might be remembering the dates wrong, but I think a lot of the overly-emotional reaction after that game was down to the memorial of Hillsborough on the day and Gerrard having a young relative who died in it.

The best Liverpool reaction last season was Suarez' tears at Palace followed by Gerrard's big time push away of the cameraman - always brings a smile to my face.

Nah, I don't buy that one bit as he's never been that emotional before. I'm inclined to think it was more the fact that he genuinely thought he was going to win the league, at long last.
