RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

I see their "alternative league table" thread has been bumped for some hugboxing consolation. I love this quote from its OP:

The moral is clear: in the APLT at least, it is better to lose a game away to a rival, than at home to a lower side.

 Surely you'd prefer to lose to a lower side to at least have the chance of your big team rival dropping points in a similar fixture, rather than certainly have them gain on you by losing to them?

Still doesn't change much for them, does it? They've gotta beat Basel at Anfield, which I think they will. Here's hoping I jinx it. :D

"After much reasoned and technical debate in my head, I`ve come to the refined conclusion that we are simply shit."

I don't know why some are so sure that they'll beat Basel. Liverpool have been just as dire at home and their defence doesn't look like it's improving from the appalling standard it's set this season. Basel are also a very dangerous team on their day.

So they have a chance to qualify still despite having won only one game so far, in what is a pretty easy group barring Madrid.

If that'd have been us they'd have been going mental about how shit we are.

Only in reality.

Reality has never concerned RAWK.

...

We're a disgrace. Just a desperately poor side. Fed up of this shit.

Was screaming for Emre Can in fecking midfield.

feck

feck

feck
feckING feck

One fecking sub. One. Lucas was getting flooded in there and although Allen played well, he needed to be taken off and a presence in midfield. Don't even get me started on fecking Mignolet.

Lost two points there. again though, you could see it happening. Like a car crash in slow motion.

feck

Just feck. Shite game management. What has really pissed me off was that was better overall but again, the win was there and we let it slip. No feckig confidence at all.

I fell down laughing from my chair when they equalized. Then I cried.

So, the best case scenario is we sneak past Basle and get an absolute dicking by someone decent in the next round yeah?

Mingolet - shit
Manquillo - ok defensively shit when asked to attack
Skrtl-totally shit
Toure-gestures a good game-dithers as much as skrtel -shit
Johnson- pile of shite
Allen-anonymously shit
Lucas - just feck off
Henderson - good goal surrounded by shit
Gerrard - mind is willing
Stirling - shoots like shit
Lambert - fecking pub style shite.

Moreno, lovren, can, llalana, borini if you can't get into the side ahead of that collection of wank then you might as well give up, retire, pack it in.

Seem to be down to 3rd in the Alternative Premier League Table, can't understand how that's happened?

And the even more silly - Comparison with last Season's Results Table is worse (4th) but to maintain that they'll maybe have to win the next 11 games which were all wins last season.

Meanwhile.

fecking piss poor, spineless bastards the lot of them

I fell down laughing from my chair when they equalized. Then I cried.

Update on Johnnowhites thoughts...... Being old time utd fan, must be happy with the win against the arse..... Impressed with Rooney, the youth, de gea.....seen LVG's tactical class vs wengers bottlers........ Oh

A few recent and favourable results, and the poor form of LFC, AFC, etc are papering over the cracks a bit at United. They're not performing anywhere near as expected to be fair.

I get your point but it's nowt to do with AFC, LFC or any other firkin FC at the end of the day. It's inconsistencies allied to some piss-poor form of far too many overpaid journeymen at MUFC that is responsible for the cracks. Not happy with what our current position in the league MAY be suggesting to some half-blind new-age United fans.

For me we are still half-lost halfway through the woods.

A United fan on RAWK, with Shankly as his profile pic and always finding faults with United. Cracking stuff

Isn't he the fella they all love? I bet he's really just a Liverpool fan trying to have the craic, albeit badly.
Of course they will love him. I remember reading that bastard having some controversial views about Munich disaster and Club's handling of it.

It's like they said that classic "my United supporting *insert relationship to poster here* says United are shit and he hates them" line a few too many times and it ended up with someone suffering with schizophrenia and creating a United supporting alter ego that hates United and thinks they are shit.

The amount of 'shit' in that post.

Reminds me of this...

Really? I had to have a hunt for that... Seems Johnno can't violently disagree with andy@allerton on Munich....... Hmmmm

Another thing that caused irritation was when we won the league and we weren't on the back page of the Mirror (Instead a full page spread of some minor game Manchester United won was.. and the inside back page..). Our league win was a small paragraph and it came across as small time and bitter from a Manchester paper irritated by Liverpool's success. They did this kind of thing fairly often. We'd win a good game and it would be discounted. Manchester United would struggle, get a lucky break and come away with a bit of a jammy win and it was proclaimed as the best match ever. This trend has continued to the present day. Manchester United post-Munich got the sympathy of the country and sadly they raked it in. If you look at the way some of the surivors were treated and the money the club made off their backs, this was also a source of annoyance. Not that the papers ever admitted any wrongdoing or dodgy dealings ever from their media darling club. Again, as has been said, Manchester United are the Establishment club. You do well there, you receive a knighthood. Look at other successful clubs and the lack of similar awards for similar achievements is noticeable by its absence.

Can't violently disagree with any of that Andy. I've been at a number of United supporters dinners over this last decade and in after-dinner speeches have attacked the club for how it treated those that though they survived Munich, were forced by their injuries to quit the game. They were treated disgracefully by the club I have supported all my life. But no fan can or should ever be blinded by misguided loyalty.
The football club owners/directors were disgracefully wrong in acting as they did in respect of players who no longer able to wear the shirt were turfed out of club houses for having the temerity to pick up career-ending injuries whilst flying off to represent the club in Europe.
I will always be a United fan because as has been said already, it's a handed down thing for our family but I will also fprever be ashamed of the manner in which good and valued heroes of my boyhood years were set aside like so much flotsam.

There is nothing wrong with striving to win, so long as you don't set the prize above the game. There can be no dishonour in defeat. What matters above all is that the team plays in the right spirit, with the utmost skill, courage, fair play and no favour, and the result accepted without bitterness or conceit. Poor Johnno, can't be easy being the only person in the world who hates the team he supports.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Whichever way you look at it, that Jonno guy is weird.

If he is some construct of a Pool fan, then that's just sad. If he is genuinely a United fan who hates his club, and regularly posts shite against them and bigging up Liverpool while having Shankly as his profile picture on a Liverpool forum he frequents, then that's straight up weird. That's some Stockholm Syndrome shit there.

Surely the former is far, far more likely.

All evidence are pointing out to that, yes, but guy says he's supported United since the 60s, so who are we "new age" United fans to say otherwise?
