RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

In fairness, i have never understood how people can talk on forums while the game is going on, how can you concentrate on the game if you are chatting online?

A game has several lulls in it. You can easily post something during a stoppage in play or when the game is dying a death. It's not like games are 90 minutes of constant action.

Unless you're into looking indepthly at the whole set up of the game and the movements of various players then yeah fair enough.

That alternate league table :lol::lol: what the actual feck is that about? Does is actually make them feel better looking at that silly graph which makes no sense whatsoever in the first place?
That is just called hope. They hoped that "easy" fixtures are guaranteed 3 points for them. And we will lose to the top 4, especially away. But in the end, there is no difference points wise in losing against Leicester but winning arsenal and winning Leicester but losing against arsenal. Heck, the former (which we've done) sounds a bit better since we guaranteed our rivals dropped points.

I wonder if they will update the table again. I mean it's morale sapping when even your version of reality tells you that you are shite?

Exactly. People forget he's 22 and not scored more than 5 goals in any season as an attacking midfielder.

Origi has had a few decent performances but he's playing week in week out in the French league and scored 4 in 17 games so far and just 6 in 35 last season. This is a lad people are clamouring for to save our season?

Moreno look ok at best. He's had a few decent performances and a few bad ones which have lost us games. Mainly though, he's been 'ok'.

Sterling is the one that you could say that he looks like he has 'something' to be a real quality player but again its being consistent. He's 20 in a few weeks so we should see whether he can be a key player or whether he will go hiding like he has over the past month or so.

People forget 22 is still very young.

He has been one of our best players this season, and his performances against big teams are generally of a high standard. His peak level and upside is incredibly high, thats what he has shown us, he can be inconsistent but when judging young players its best to look at the best of what they've shown you, as they get older you expect them to have less bad games. Coutinho also doesn't need to score more than 5 goals a season to be a great midfieldera, i can name you a hoard of great midfielders who aren't known for their goalscoring prowess but became great players because of other ares where they excelled, Coutinho is a player with better dribbling, passing, control than most, even by just refining these qualities he could be a great, but he's already proving to be a bigger goalscoring threat as time goes past.

And on the surface of it, apart from maybe Gotze and Isco, who themselves have had an incosistent 18 months, i can't think of any other better 10/CM playmakers at his age, the likes of Oscar, Wilshere, Barkley, whoever you name still haven't put it all together.

WOW.

The crazy biblical account by that Historical Fool character must be Caf member on a pisstake, right?

This is all from one not happy bunny. I expect he will be banned soon.

I am now of the opinion Brendan Rodgers is not the manager we need him to be now or in the future. I have criticised him all season but even after the underwhelming transfers, abysmal team selections and vile, disgusting tactics which didn’t change regardless of evidence, I refrained from saying it.

We need a new manager.

There. It’s done. It’s been said and it cannot be unsaid. We wait til seasons end and sack him. We give him no money in January. We go after Simeone, Klopp or Rafa. Managers who know what it takes to overcome odds, regularly qualify for the Champions League, know what to do when they get there, and win some trophies.

Gerrard is finished. That he offers incredibly little to this team from the start.

Lovren has turned into the worst centre back in the entire league.

This is what Reading’s chairman stated after he sacked Rodgers 5 years ago:

“I understand he didn’t have much time but we got on a slippery slope and it just got worse. Signings didn’t settle, Brendan was adamant his style of play would eventually work. Results kept getting worse, performances too. Results & performances did not match what the manager was consistently telling me. The fans started to tell me a different story. Brendan refused to comprehend the notion of changing his ways so adamant was he that he would be successful. The only thing that was changing rapidly was our league position. Was it hasty sacking him? (No) Did we avoid relegation with McDermott? (Yes)””

Absolute tripe, im sorry it just is.

feck off with your great Lads Brendan and your working hard bollocks. Leave that talk to Roy Hodgeson. feck off with Louis Suarez leaving us for Barcelona the brilliant biting bastard. feck giving us a great run in last year(we will need similar to end up with even a half decent position this year). feck the usual second season syndrome that lets face it deep down we knew we were going to get again this year because we are Liverpool we do that. And while were at it feck the injury to Sturridge, The Mancs have a back four made up of what was left in the training room bargain basement and went to arsenal and won(fecking wankers).

I am sick of it, all of it. Standing there yesterday watching that unfold was brutal. I wont go into what needs to be done and changed because I heard several Lads on the stands making good common sense points but unfortunately the fella who is paid Joss Stones ransom to think these things and make the changes accordingly isn't.
This isn't a Rodgers out post, not yet anyway, but why is it he doesn't see what we all do atm and is blatently staying with a system that isn't working.

Yes we are not getting the rub of the green at times(I haven't seen a reply yet but it looked a blatant penalty yesterday) but aren't they the reasons we get beat at places like OT and the Bridge...not fecking Palace for fecks sake...

We have just been royally rimmed by a decent Championship side , and i'm hurting, sort it out Brendan for feck sake!

That Redmen TV Vid.

I think it's good that they are staying loyal to Brendan and spend a long time saying so but they don't say anything else. No discussion of how things might be changed, which players might get the chop or whatever, which is a bit strange considering there are 4 seethingly angry & cheesed off blokes sat around discussing their poorly performing team.

It's not as if it's that hard to identify any talking points.

THE BOOK OF THE GOLDEN SKY 2

Clouded Horizons with Silver Linings

1 Now these are the names of the children of Liverpool, which came into the Club of Liverpool from different cultures and sources; every man and his household came to the God-King Brendan for supplication.

2
Glen, Martin, and Dejan,

3
Mamadou, Jose, and Alberto,

4
Javi, Jon, and Kolo,

5
Kevin, Lloyd, Stewart and Jamie.

6
And the children of Liverpool were talented, and waxed exceedingly mightily, and were ardent Defenders of the Club.

7 And the God-King Brendan said unto his children, Behold, for I shall raise a Prophet high, and he shall detail how you shall train.

8
And so PhaseOfPlay was raised among the children of Liverpool, and he informed them that their methods would not be block methods but would instead be immersive and would be more easily transferable to real war.

9 So did the God-King Brendan dealt wisely with them.

10 And in 2012/2013/2014, the prophecy bore visible fruit as Glen, Martin, Mamadou, Stewart, Kolo, Jamie, and Jon formed the spine of a machine which smote its enemies relentlessly.

11
It came therefore to pass that the Club of Liverpool was more and mightier than the sum of its parts, the talented spine seamlessly integrating to form a solid backbone of a charge against the world's infidels.

12 And yet, as with all things, it was inevitable that key components of the spine would decay, wither, and be left behind.

13
And so Jamie rode off into the sunset, and the God-King Brendan sent Stewart (despite the sorrowful pleadings of the Adherents) on a suicide mission to the faraway Western Land of Pig-Meat to enlighten to the savages there.

14 Therefore the God-King Brendan spake unto the Children of Liverpool, and said thusly

15
The Club of Liverpool doth requires replacements for these talented players, and henceforth Javi, Alberto, and Dejan (who are equally as talented as Jamie and Stewart) will replace them and form the spine for its crusades in 2014/2015.

16 And the God-King Brendan spake unto them at the time, saying, Behold, I have set the objectives before you: go in and supplement Glen and Martin, to integrate seamlessly into the existing spine.

17
For I know the plans I have for you, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

18
Thenceforth began the period of acclimatisation for Dejan, Javi and Alberto.

19 And as with all new beginnings, the path to glory is fraught with trials and perils.

20
Behold, a storm now brews over the Club of Liverpool, and the Adherents have began to question the shelter provided by FSG / the God-King Brendan / and the Transfer Committee.

21 Yet, the City of Liverpool is great.

22
Among all other things, the Adherents resident in Liverpool know that if one faints in the day of adversity, one's strength is small.

23
They know instinctively that above the dark, gloomy clouds, the sky is still golden.

24
And the clouds cannot disguise or suppress the wonderful talents that the God-King Brendan has so correctly identified.

25 And so the Club of Liverpool shall support its children Glen, Martin, Dejan and Alberto, and in time the clouds will part to reveal the golden sky that has, forsooth, always been there.

I recognise that sentiment. I had it last season.

Liverpool have far too many bang average players in that squad.

The money they got for Suarez would of been better spent on two £40m players than a whole host of averageness.

I watchef the whole match yesterday, what penalty claim is he on about?
The only.thing the ref missed yesterday was the straight red he should of given Skrtyl for his elbox into Chamakh.

They tried to get some but none of them would come. They're not such a big draw anymore. They only got Suarez because other teams wouldn't touch him. Same with Balotelli.

The Odds of Liverpool winning the league i.e. 250/1 is the same as getting relegated.

The Odds of Liverpool winning the league i.e. 250/1 is the same as getting relegated.

I think they are genuinely much more likely to get relegated than win the league.

I'd happily give 5000-1 for them winning the league and about 200-1 for them getting relegated.

I love having a scouse brother in law . Last season i remember just before the Chelsea game, the morning of it infact- had his then 6 month old child donned out in full kit with Suarez on the back singing to me in my face were gonna win the league. Revelling in how crap Moyes had made us. On Saturday i saw him for the first time since we played Burnley earlier on in the season where he had preached that Balotelli was a majestic signing and was bewildered at Di Maria coming to us.... he just said 'this time last year football was everything' 'now i cannot even be bothered'.. and then started laughing at our starting 11 for the Arsenal game..

I really hope they finish 8th and panic sack Brentan for Benitez. The hilarity that would ensue would almost make up for us not being in the title race. ALMOST.

Bringing Benitez would be gold.

And if they think that really Klopp/Simeone will go there, then they are joking themselves. 2 years ago, even third tier managers (at that time) like De Bour and Martinez didn't want to go there, and now they are even worse than back then, so there is zero chance that they can get one of the top managers in the game (Klopp/Simeone).

Bring Benitez, and then after a few years bring Rodgers back.

They make it sound like count yourself lucky you wern't born in a poor third world country where you would be poor and starving or something.

Never mind Mignolet, what about Manquillo's cool side foot finish at the other end - the one that went out for a throw-in
