RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

While their options fill them with joy? They still have that calamity called Skrtel on central defence with Johnson as a FB.

Oh I don't doubt their defence is shite but I was pointing out that we can't use last season, or any past seasons for anything when considering the newest one.

We need defenders, good ones and fast.

Meh, our defence will do ok if we get a top CM in to partner Herrera. Evans is good, Jones and Smalling both potentially excellent (and starved of actual chances). We can promote to make up the numbers - Keane in particular is very promising.

Theirs is catastrophic. Johnson and Flanagan are their first choice fullbacks.

They would say the exact same about their defenders and call ours catastophic.

Simple fact is neither are very good.

For us at least. Evans is decent on the ball and capable of putting in excellent performances but cannot maintain it consistently throughout a year and will inevitably get injured. Capable of having brainfarts too often as well meaning we'll inevitably have a goal conceded because of him at least once next season.

Jones and Smalling are unknown. Yes potentially they could be excellent but it's a fair bet that they could just as easily turn out to be complete duds. Smalling is horrific on the ball and never radiates confidence so you always believe he'll make a mistake.

Jones is perenially on a one man mission to win the game so goes flying into challenges like a giant, stupid dog chasing after a cat. I'd be surprised if he has a single brain cell in his head and therefore he's a liability. More likely to get himself permanently injured than he is to turn into a world class defender in my eyes.

Factor in Rafael's injury history and also the fact that he will never, ever lose the rash side to his game (it'll be minimised at times so he'll turn in some brilliant performances but is always a mistake away from a crisis) and Shaw being 18 and therefore unproven despite his obvious talents and I'd say we're all set to concede a shitload of goals this season.

We'll also need to make sure we don't just play two in front of them because we'll be wide open as we have been for the past few years. Teams will just gang up and run through us.

He is very matured for his age. The bolded is not only unfair on the guy, it is actually disparaging to talk about him like that. He has put his career/development on the line for the club, starting games at all sorts of positions and did the job when no one else on the team could. If he is only played on CB for a year, I am sure he can start fulfilling the immense potential that he possesses.

We conceded less goals than they did last season.

This one is an entirely different kettle of fish and they're quite right to be mocking us for the options we currently have.

Fair enough. Though anyone who has watched us play the last few years would be aware that we concede loads via Evra, who looks like he is on his way. Shaw has looked defensively sound most times I watched him last season.

Liverpool, on the other hand, have been signing players for their front four so far. Lambert, Lallana, the Lazar guy....I'm still waiting for them to announce a defender as their signing.

OTT, but dog chasing cats are myth, even spike seldom chases after Tom

Hang on, they're criticising someone for wearing a stupid t-shirt to promote their cause. Irony.

Not just that.

We are a small time club because this individual that doesn't officially work for the club (not the Manager/all-time great), has this shirt on during his own fanTV show (not a national broadcast with reporters).

Meanwhile Sanchez never racially abused or bit anyone in front of millions of viewers.

They're fecking idiots.

Doesn't make it significantly better that only their admins are idiots instead of their whole fan base imo.
It's got nothing to do with United. The exact same thing happens if you type AVB - you get his full name. It's an attempt to stop posters to overly use abbreviated 'text speak'. May be fussy but it's not designed to have a pop at United.

I'll have you know Scousers do fine Beatles....Other than that, I'm out! I hate them. All Scousers and their twat location

Louis Van Gaal started his coaching career in 1991 with Ajax . Since then, Liverpool haven't won the league.

We have them, we just like to take a giant piss all over them.

I don't know what to think about our defence. I would like us buy a proven high class central defender and another RB because Rafael doesn't convince defensively (concentration/awareness/anticipation). This would help us concede FEWER** goals imo. But APM(L)vG is the manager and not me.

Liverpool's main defensive strength is that Skrtl seems to be invisible to referees.

** irritating point of pedantic-ness

and re RAWK nomenclature conventions - does it mean that 'Stevie G' will automatically have 'errard' added in? It should really, innit?

This sounds more like the are sh*tting themselves as they speak....whilst pretending that we would not knock them off the perch next season.. Oh wait, they have never been back on the perch so no worries there really! LOL
They keep pretending that Van Gaal is a ticking time bomb that will explode prior christmas, so nothing to worry about. But it's the same on the Arsenal forum.

RAWK buzzwords/phrases

If you use the following on a consistent basis, you'll fit in very well at RAWK

- Agenda
- Recycle the ball
- Whopper
- Meff
- Wool
- Boss
- La

Amen to that, mister.

I'm waiting for one of the Arsenal players to come out of a huddle, proclaiming, "Sanchez is a friend to all!"

They would say the exact same about their defenders and call ours catastophic.

And yet the facts emphatically back me up, because we had a much worse season than them last season and still conceded fewer goals. So our defenders both look better on paper and performed better last season. I don't see that there's much room for debate left there.

The unsubstantiated rumors post is quite funny given the fact that Phil Thompson was running around every media outlet saying it was a done deal.
Or the fact that Rodgers himself said that they tried, but Sanchez chose Arsenal / London rather than having to live in Liverpool.

Sanchez's move was one where geography dictated where he wanted to go - simple as that. It’s been the other way.

Honestly Rodgers will fit right in at RAWK.

Never mind the bigger stadium, better manager and the fact that Arsenal didn't sell their best player this season. It's just the Geography lads.

Odd of Rodgers to comment on a transfer that was nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumour.

what quote? Quit screwing wi' ma heed, boy!

The quote function has made a fool of me.

"I think a lot of Liverpool fans have time for Milan and regard it as quite a classy club, as do I. Juventus are like the United of Italy - the opposite..."
This one from Spielmacher above

My cats have been chased by dogs plenty of times. In any case the imagery was more important than whether it actually happens or not. Jones is incredibly stupid and forever injuring himself by flying into things when he doesn't need to.

I like the idea, actually. Or at least, the way it's being used for Van Gaal and Villas-Boas.
It annoys me a little bit when people refer to van Persie as RVP. It's takes more characters to type Mertersacker or Schweinsteiger.

...Now I'll go and wash my hands for typing that.

It's completely ott and i do agree about jones. Just that most dogs are domestic dogs and they play with cats more than they chase them

Sanchez is no different to all the foreign players we missed out on, the dippers and every other team in the north that had competition from London. They want to live there and it's a huge priority for these players.

One day I can see City doing something as extravagant as buying a big helicopter and bringing players in from London, just like Anzhi did with all their big players.

It's time to get this back on track and start talking about how fecked the mancs are again.

A shit defense, shit midfield, shit attack. A manager who is a dutch roy hodgson, a poor man's david moyes, who will be playing his famous 6-3-1 & 7-3-0 at their shithole of a ground until he gets sacked just after Christmas.

Add then they have their delusional fans living in the past, who can't come to terms with being a mid-table club. Put all this together and we have all the recipes for another entertaining season from them. Sit back and enjoy the carnage.

I could go on, but i think that'll do for starters.
