RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

I can't understand that to be honest. Moyes always had a constrained budget so he always bought within that budget. He bought the bets players he could on the budget, that he could get the best out of with his squad. When decent flair players he could afford were available, Moyes seems to have bought them eg Jelavic, Mirallas.
So, when discussing flair players signed by Moyes, one of the two you use as example is Jelavic? Well, that's me sold!

I couldn't agree more, hence why I have been one of Moyes biggest supporters on this site for around 4 years.

Bloody hell. Kind of hope it is a wum.

Why they have everything to exaggerate? I thought they were going to sign Messi. And Liverpool being the cultural capital of Europe

Oh and he's so classy and so modest, that he didn't go to his team preseason and didn't even call them.

It is clear that Moyes is a very average manager. I don't think that is any doubt whatsoever.

Therefore, if Moyes continues the success at the club as if nothing had changed, then I think you'd have to accept that the previous manager was also very average and had been carried along by the club and their success.

Pretty straightforward idea that. I'm convinced that Moyes will be as successful as Ferguson. It's inevitable. If he is then there can be no doubt as to the abilities of the previous manager.

The list of managers that have won it twice is pretty big. And how many of them had been at a club with the unlimited funds Ferguson had for so long?
18 Managers have won it twice. Bob won it thrice.

Which ever way you paint it, Fergusons record with all that cash is pretty dire.

Andy on form.

I guess if Moyes fails, admitting Fergie was a genius is a small price to pay for the endless euphoric posts on our demise to follow. And of course if he succeeds, it's because we pay the refs, spend more money than everyone else etc etc.

If he stops posting drivel like that he'd have to come to terms with just how far United have overtaken Liverpool. It doesn't even annoy me any more, it's just a bit sad.

Can someone please explain why they love to laugh at our "debt" and are at the same time convinced we've bribed everything single ref in the Prem and CL?

Thanks Shaggy - Unbelievable isn't it

Life must be tough being a dipper, but it must be even tougher when you're stupid.

Have you ever argued with a child?

I'm sure we all remember Andy's Liverpool v Aston Villa prediction - he's not exactly Nostrodamus; more like Nosferatu.

Yeah, a lot of their twonk ceases to amaze me anymore. I just think it's all a bit sad the way they bury their heads in the sand.

Not a fan of Adrian Durham, but his piece in the mail today will have the bin dippers frothing at the mouth, and for that I salute him.

You’re Carlo Ancelotti. You’re deciding who would be the better signing – Wayne Rooney or Luis Suarez. It’s a no-brainer. Rooney is miles ahead.

In fact I wonder how good Luis Suarez actually is. He’s got quality and ability – probably more than most. But looking good in the Dutch league and standing out in one of the most average Liverpool sides I’ve seen in my lifetime does not constitute a top-level player.

I watched him closely at the Confederations Cup and he had little impact. An enforced rest bit a huge chunk out of the end of his club season, so I expected a fresh and energized Suarez to take the tournament by storm. Instead it was Forlan who looked the better player, with Cavani finding the net in the latter stages.

Suarez and Rooney have similar international records, but in comparing the two, the big difference is that Rooney has stood the test of time at a massive club with the very highest expectations. Suarez just has to be 'good' at Liverpool to win over the fans who are desperate for a new hero after years of underachievement.
At United, Rooney is obliged to make a massive contribution to a side winning trophies. And he did just that.
We don’t have many top-class players from England so you would think we would treasure the rare ones that come along to light up our game.
People seem to have forgotten just how good a footballer Wayne Rooney actually is. I suspect United won’t know how good he is and how big a contribution he makes until it is too late. If he goes…

Talksport in pro-Rooney shock.

what else did we spend all the money on to get ourselves in debt ? buying the club on loans and then making the club pay them back, hah! like anyone would be daft enough to believe that.

Little harsh on Suarez, a lot of praise for Rooney but I agree with the points made. It also pisses off Liverpool fans I'm sure, so it's a good article all round.
