RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

"Give fernando and michael a ring to see how they got on after leaving this great club"

Love how he conveniently forgets about Alonso, Arbeloa and Mascherano

Torres and Owen were strikers and like Suarez they had God status there, which neither of the other three had.

I'm looking forward to a lack of 40m+ bids and ultimately him demanding a Real move for 30m or so, then they panic buy Long for 25m near the summer deadline.

The best thread ever -- if you feel crappy, there's nothing that perks you up than the RAWK.

Long may it continue.

Whilst Torres' personal form has been disappointing, he has been consistenty perservered with by Chelsea fans and he has won a European Cup, a Europa League and an FA Cup whilst Liverpool have won absolutely nothing and slipped out of even playing European football.

I'm sure he won't be too worried about leaving that "[once] great club".

I doubt he would have performed much better at Liverpool either if he hadn't moved, there were already signs of him losing his sharpness in the year before his move. And he has one more than he could ever have done at Liverpool. I don't think he regrets leaving Liverpool, although he must surely regret rejecting United all those years ago.

It could have been a masterstroke by Liverpool to see the imminent decline of Torres, cash in, and spent wisely to rebuild a squad. Then they undid all of that by paying 35m for Carroll, granted still made a profit from it., but it was Andy fecking Carroll.

Incidentally, why is it that RAWKites/Liverpool insist on self-aggrandising so much? They always refer to their fans as "the best in the world" and if I had a quid for every time they described themselves as "classy", I'd have recouped our outlay on Torres by now. All this in spite of some seriously classless behaviour from them down the years (Heysel, Munich chants, Shipman songs, faeces chucking, ambulance rocking, George Best minute silence disruption, charging the turnstiles in Athens etc, etc, etc...)

Is it some kind of defence mechanism to compensate for their declining status in football?

Hi Luis! I know you read this site so please do not click on any topics that are 'locked', i.e. italicised, and please do not click on any topics that have the word 'Suarez' in them.

You're more than welcome to STFU though.

After the way he has pissed on us supporters the past few weeks , i doubt much people will give a shit what he does over there.

People will care, he's still a Liverpool player, and he loves the club, city and the fans.

On current form Reina and Valdes are much better than Casillas.

No mention of the best Spanish keeper at the moment??

Eh yeah ok ,its not what anybody has read , its about what everyone heard everytime he gave an interview, the bottom line is the supporters stood by him and now he pissed on us, there is a way to act if you want to move clubs and this is only a way of trying to drive his price down.
It could be 'lost in translation'. Or "SKY SPORTS SHIT AND BOLLOCKS".

We at RAWK created this shitstorm, to be honest. We're in no position to say anything against Suarez now that it's happened.

Something about a river n Africa?

One thing I will say is that Barca and Real are massive clubs there is no question, but Liverpool FC is still a gold standard when it comes to worldwide football clubs.

The reason why I say that this is our fault is this. From all credible accounts, Luis exclusively reads RAWK and unfortunately we appear to have set the barometer for him as to what's acceptable to the fanbase as an excuse for leaving, i.e. villification by the media. He's seen thread after thread condemning the media for treating him badly, being xenophobic and all. He therefore sees it as a valid excuse and says this to the world's media. Not the brightest move, but what's done is done.

That's one thread that's open and it's about him scoring a free kick last night. It's funny and sad in equal measure that they have to sneak in chat about the transfer of their best player before each thread gets locked.

Why aren't they allowed to talk about it?

I've never described a website as being a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime before now, but there's no doubt about it, that website is a fecking Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

Who knows Cider. Surely it should be the single biggest talking point on their this summer but the mods have banned all talk of the potential transfer.

Agreed. Chelsea got a dodgy deal, money-wise (although I don't think I'd care, as a fan, since it's Abramovich's money not the club's), but Torres actually did alright. His form was already on the plummet at Liverpool. It was the injury, not the transfer, that did for him.

Suarez now questioning Liverpool's failure to qualify for the Champions League and reiterating his desire to leave for Real Madrid who haven't even put in a bid for him. Rofl when he was charged with racism and over the biting affair, the Rawk Dorks were so passionate in their defense of him. Now they've totally turned against him. How ironic!

It's not really the thread to discuss it but imo he'd have done a lot better as they would have accommodated him as the main striker and imo as the poacher player in this BR style 4-3-3 he'd have fared a lot better. Basically at Chelsea it has been a case of "Be the main star, scrap for everything.. Basically just be Drogba." He certainly isn't anywhere near that type of player.

lol at Warrior for releasing a boot with in-built 'gloryholes' for 'sticky situations'. Bless them for trying to break into the soccerball game but gee.

Not classic RAWKism but a funny non-rawk quote from a liverpool fan.

He wasn't the same player at Liverpool in his final few months, even the Liverpool fans would attest to that. He wasn't having the best of seasons, and hadn't scored even 10 goals when he completed his move to Chelsea by the end of January! He might have fared a little better on a personal level, which we have no way of knowing, but that should have been more than offset by what he has won in his time at Chelsea. But yeah, not the place to discuss this.

What's their reason for closing all the Suarez threads?

You would think the biggest talking point this window will be this Suarez affair. As if they don't have one thread dedicated to the little rat bastard.

Imagine the caf just outright banning anyone from talking about Wayne Rooney. It's hard to imagine a more bizarre policy than to ban talk about Liverpool players on the Liverpool forum. What are they worried will happen if they allow their own supporters to talk about Suarez? "Potential breakdown in enforced unity, lads, shut this bitch down!" fecking twats; it's full ball gone Lord of the Flies over there.

How long before they complain about Suarez missing the United game?

What is the point of the damn forum in the first place? What the hell do they think will happen if they talk about Suarez?

I'm thinking about starting a George Orwell forum on which any discussion on his novel 1984 will be banned.

Anyone interested in joining?

It's very strange. I'm surprised posters there don't move to a different Liverpool forum. Many posters here would leave if mods started locking threads on players for no reason.

RAWKites couldn't post anywhere else; lunatics stand out like sore thumbs anywhere other than the confines of the asylum.

I can't decide what'll be funnier, the vitriol if Suarez leaves, or the instant "he never wanted to leave, it was all media bollocks" conspiracy theory if he stays.

I think a lot of Liverpool fans will approach it the same way we did with Rooney (after the first request, I'll be glad to see him gone now) and City fans with Tevez. They'll appreciate that he's a brilliant player and they'll be glad to have him but the God-like worship will die down with a lot of their supporters.
