RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

I wonder at what point Moyes will have the FA in his pocket.

Or maybe he already has - the most important transfer we will make this season.

Oh, that's been taken care of. Moyes is only Darth Vader - Fergie is still the Emperor.

First reply:

I would like to see wage spending since 1992.

Right. Without any indication of what clubs have spent on wages this table only tells half the story.

Err, not really, no. You've spent over £50 million more than us and in that time we've won 13 league titles to your none. You've spent a staggering £250 million more than Arsenal and they've won three titles to your none. Wages me bollocks.

Tottenham come across as the worst

While we spend more on wages than Liverpool as a percentage of turnover ours is 50% while they are closer to 70. It's just that we have a massive turnover compared to theirs and can justify spending more on wages.

At least we have the prospect of the more fruitful academy over the coming decade. We are probably without peers in terms of talent coming through the ranks at the moment - definitely in the uk. So much more rewarding than the sugar daddy spend.

The last I checked we became champions of U21. Do they have something similar to Januzaj, Daeli, Pearson, Keane x2 and Pereira to name a few?

Off-topic (sorry) but why do Spurs always have so much money? I would genuinely expect them to out-bid us on a player (well they did for Bale back in the day) and yet they don't have a sugar daddy that I know of and never achieve much. Whereas we achieve a lot and have around 70,000 people paying to watch us every other week.

1. They didn't outbid us.
2. They are owned by a rich consortium as well I think

From manutd.com. They did outbid us.

"The bid we made for Gareth Bale reflected his potential," explained the United manager. "Southampton said no because they're looking for more money and they have every right to do that.

"I'm not exactly sure what Tottenham have offered but I think they've offered more. So they're in pole position at the moment."

Levy is supposedly worth £1.5bn alone. There are other wealthy interested parties involved in Tottenham too.

I imagine they've received a lot more in sales than all the clubs of similar size to them in the league, to help fund their spending (just thinking of Berbatov, Modric and Carrick alone).

They don't have a great deal of money, if they did they'd have really pushed on when they finally reached the top 4 in 2010, they actually have a negative net spend since then..

There's also a quote from him saying they told us he's not for sale. Soon after he signed for Spurs.

Sarcastic, I know, but the last line did it for me.

Poor Suarez
Must be such a torture to be an overpaid, adored athlete.
We should offer him for free to anybody, just so he's released from the terrible prison of Liverpool.
Poor little Luisito, poor negrito.

When Luis had the Evra affair, Luis admitted he said Negrito once to Evra. He never hid from the truth.

June 2013, it is still happening. Utterly mind boggling.

Why does everything with Suarez have to be so black and white to some people?

Still stuck on Windows XP. Thats why they are behind the times.

Coutinho will be their next love interest once Suarez dumps them.

He's a quality player to be fair. Surprised he ended up at Liverpool of all teams, I thought there would have been interest from other Italian and Spanish teams.
