RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

Not from RAWK but it's a bit of a meltdown isn't it?

Why does everything they do have to be about them turning out to be the bigger club? A club is interested in buying a player you currently have, regardless if he's your best player or not, what does being "a bigger club" have to do with saying yes or no to a transfer?

They've got a "history complex", meaning their obsession with their trophy haul (rapidly receding into the past) and the sense of entitlement that gives them in terms of being a "top club" juxtaposed between their status as a fading mid-table force in contemporary football and the fact that players are interested in the now rather than the 70's, causes them to constantly bang on about how MASSIVE a club they are.

See the pamphlet that they give all new signings to read out at the press conference (Joe Cole said that they ACTUALLY do this) involving buzzwords like "famous European nights" "history" "folklore" "class" "traditions" "massive/huge/humongous" etc etc.

Very, very strange football club with an identity crisis.

This doesn't even surprise me.

He said they basically fitted him up with a load of comments about how HUGE and ENORMOUS they are as a club when he was unveiled and he didn't mean them or want to say them.

I remember watching that "Being Liverpool" seeing that Sahin turning up from Real Madrid and even the doctor was going "you're at a real big club now, lad".

They really are finding mid-table mediocrity a bitter pill to swallow. Nottingham Forest have history too.

Cole believes the mentality at Liverpool made it difficult for him to settle in, with their insistence on being known as the "biggest club in the country" catching him off guard.

"When I joined, the guy interviewing me said 'you've joined the biggest club in the country' and reeled off the trophies they'd won," he said. "I just said 'yeah, if you put it like that, I suppose you're right' and Liverpool used that as the headline to the interview.

"I didn't want to upset anyone so I just went along with it. But obviously they're not the biggest club in the country any more. How do you judge how big a club are? Nottingham Forest won the European Cup twice but they're not a bigger club than Chelsea."

Really though, Liverpool fans are entirely justified in their hatred of the Sun newspaper, so Suarez doing anything for them wouldn't even be funny, just further proof of how much of a massive dickhead he is.

Which would be inherently funny given how he loved the city and the club and was one of them. Of course their hatred of the Sun is justified, that's not relevant in this.

This is so evident when watching a new signing for the club. Like 'There is the camera and here is some generic shit to say into it' - I'm certain all those phrases were used when Sturridge signed and then he gave it the five times when he scored against us. They must be using mind altering and controlling chemicals at that club, I'm certain of it!

From the RAWK General football and sport:

(On George Best)

Over rated to feck. He never even played in a World Cup

Good player though. About the Steve McManaman level I'd say

Thats why they should call themselves The (Real) History Channel..

Has the fact we have a title winning squad already escaped most people in the country? It's fecking mental, I don't think I've ever seen champions being written off in this way before in any sport before the season starts.

They're going to be very disappointed this season if that's how low they rate us.

It's mental. I had an argument with some of the Scouse brigade earlier who awere incredulous at my assertion that Arsenal and Spurs are currently far superior to Liverpool.

So which is it? Spurs as title contenders or mid-table mediocrity?

They got superhero nickname for every player, amazing coutinho, colosus wisdom....

It is a website run by adolescents with posts/rants by adolescents all hoping to pop their cherry at some point in life. No different than their actual comic book loving costume wearing counterparts.

The hatred for the Sun is justified, but they are retarded in how they apply it at times. Not sure of the full facts, but there is some liverpool fc centric twitter account some teen runs, and has plenty of followers. He did an interview with somebody sun newspaper related recently and has been recieving death threats about it today from a small portion. Crazy stuff. The ironic thing about any 'Sun haters' I know, is that they refuse to buy the paper yet have subscriptions to Sky tv.
