RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

I work with a proper died in the wool deluded liverpool fan and they bring a sun newspaper to work every day

The Sun has apologised and surely ran the story based on what they had been informed at the time.

Bearing in mind Liverpool as a club were happy to indulge in such mis-information four years earlier at Heysel when they tried to blame the trouble on Chelsea fans and the National Front (right up at boardroom level), you'd think they might be a tad more forgiving. Obviously not.

Please man, lets not go there.

Their is about a million and one things to laugh at about Liverpool fc at the moment. Lets not ruin a great thread with controversy and the Sun.

Hillsborough, Heysel and The Sun has been done enough times on here...if anyone is interested in reading what people thought do a search for old threads. We do not need to go over old ground yet again.

Who promoted this TheRisingSun prick? The sooner he pisses off the better.

To be fair he often has some valid points. Not a worse poster than most. Just really, really hates Liverpool.
A lot of the Liverpool fans on here piss me off quite a bit too. Maybe RisingSun goes too far but free speech, etc.

Chelsea and Liverpool have a fairly big rivalry/dislike these days (not BIG big, but up there with their secondary hate figures)

To be fair, of all the reasons to not read The Sun, being The Sun will always be the biggest.

That is possibly the most generous interpretation of The Sun's actions I've ever read...except in The Sun, naturally. You, though, don't have the excuse of company-loyalty; you're effectively siding with that piece of shit over fellow football fans.

I'm certainly not siding with the Sun on the issue, but there is surely something wrong when the antipathy towards the paper is so hysterical that nearly two decades later, people receive death threats for even associating with it when they have apologised.

Was the paper not the very next day after the event? As I said after Heysel, Liverpool chairman John Smith tried to smear London clubs, England fans, the far-right and namely Chelsea to try and deflect attention away from Liverpool fans. The South Yorkshire Police and the Sun newspaper aren't the only ones prepared to disseminate misinformation in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy because it suits the institution. Did he ever offer such an apology to those who he tried to point the finger at?

Anyone, I won't continue this debate as I have found myself getting drawn into too many Liverpool topics lately and it's getting tedious even for me.

So.... er.... Liverpool bought Adam, Carroll and Downing for how much?
And how much have they sold / selling them for?

Good business.

Either you are incredibly ignorant of the Sun in relation to Hillsborough, or you are being an attention seeking, provocative prick (or probably both). Either way I think those posts are a stain on this forum.

The impact of the deaths and subsequent reporting at Hillsborough extend far beyond the trivial institution of a football club and the frivolous act of supporting a team. These were peoples lives and reputations that were destroyed. Trying to manufacture some skewed sense of hypocrisy and indignation out of not just one tragic loss of life but two is disgraceful.

The Sun boycott is not a Liverpool FC or John Smith production. The people of Liverpool's anger at The Sun's disgusting, opportunist attack on the dead and the grieving should not be tempered by the dumb words of a Chief executive at a football club. Especially when they refer to an unrelated event that happened years earlier.

Close the topic.

Yeah, Queen Kenny had the master plan set in place, Rodgers screwed it all up.

This isn't the first time you've dredged this shit up, if I'm right in my thinking of which knobhead you are. The policy here is pretty clear as far as this stuff is concerned. If United fans can stick to it, why can't you? Wind your neck in.

I am sick of this Rising Sun guy, there is banter and where to cross the line.
Yet again he is on here ranting about his hatred for LFC and bringing up issues that don't need to be talked about.

How many times is he allowed to do this?

I rarely browse this thread, you have a laugh at LFC , mostly in fun, but yet again this idiot goes too far.

Can we all have a little break? Forget the previous issue, no dick swinging either in the thread, focus on laughing at Rawk and at Liverpool please.

Big Sam's onto a good thing here. He watches as we pay over the odds for certain players - in transfer fees & wages - waits a season or two until they flop, then moves in & buys them at a knock down price.

The fat cnut should be our next manager

What's happening here? I haven't been keeping up with this thread lately...

Chelsea fan TheRisingSun, constantly LFC bashing, it's a United forum so we have to take some of that.
This guy goes too far several times of late he brings up Heysel and more, was the same on the newbies.

I better say no more as I will be in trouble.
Fair play to those who told him to shut up.

You guys get back to your fun stuff, I don't want to say anymore on this thread.

Well don't then

Lads, move on. If you have issues with TRS then start a conversation with him. We laugh at RAWK here.

Redcafe is popular with rival football fans because we allow most forms of free speech here, but let's not bring up certain topics.

When cider outs someone as a prick, it's time to take notice. Free speech is all well and good but I'll remind you and other users that this is a private forum complete with rules about Heysel, etc.

You have to get involved don't you
feck off. This isn't something to be used for you to have a childish jibe at me. There is no need for Heysel etc. to be dragged into this thread. And as a regular here I feel I have a right to voice my disapproval.

Every United fan should be telling people posting this shit to feck off. This is a United forum and if opposition fans want to gob off about Heysel, Hillsborough, whatever then they should piss off to their own forums and do it, instead of dragging us down to their level.

The fact that you ignored the subject matter and instead made a petty jab at me for getting involved says more about you than anything else.

Yep. Although I find a rarity to agree with you, you're spot on. There are rules for those events and I see no need to go again into a sensitive debate that doesn't send us anywhere. And not in a thread that was meant to be a funny non-serious thread.

Who said anything about childish jab. You have to gurn about fecking everything. Last time I checked you werent a mod so leave the subject matter to the mods or admins. I happen to agree its not for this website but nobody made you the moral arbiter on here.

In other news, my Liverpool supporting best mate, who's staying at mine this week, informs me that photos of the new Liverpool away kit, the one that looks like a printer test page, don't do it justice; it's MUCH worse in real life.

I don't have to be a mod to voice disgust at Heysel being raised as a stick to try and beat Liverpool with, in a thread that is mostly light hearted and funny. Funny, nobody else questioning its place here caught your ire. If you have to continue making childish digs at me, fire ahead, it doesn't bother me, but using my dislike of Heysel/Hillsborough mentions on here as the vehicle to have a pop at me makes you look a right fecking twat.

Go shove it up your hole its nothing to do with Heysel or Hillsborough its you slabbering all over this forum
Yeah, I'm the one doing the slabbering here. You make a dig at me every time you quote me. I generally don't let it bother me, I'm thick skinned and don't get offended easily, but your double standards here are laughable. You're also having a pop at me for not wanting Heysel references spewed all over the thread. Just a tad arsey of you.

I don't agree with what TheRisingSun said but if everyone is so disgusted by it, why not just let it drop and not speak of it? We all think it's disgraceful so don't give him the attention or credibility to his argument by dignifying him with any further responses.
