RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

It's 9 international games and 4 month worldwide ban. When does the ban start though?

As soon as the ban was communicated which was today, which means he'll miss 9 Premier League games for Liverpol.

Edit: Also only the player himself or the Uruguay FA can appeal the ban, Liverpool cannot.

I hope he has to stay at Liverpool, face the wrath of all the stadiums he will have to visit with Liverpool. Hope Liverpool are effectively out of the champions league and the title race by the time he comes back so he has another season trying to get Liverpool into the top 4. He's going to play half heartedly aswell, it's as clear as day he doesn't want to be there. And then next summer he fecks off.

Can he appeal it & stay in the tournament - why wouldn't he, after all he's done nothing wrong, nothing at all

Liverpool fans are annoyed that they're clubs is also being punished....

Of course you are you idiots!! You stuck by him after the Ivanovic incident and knew the risks of having a mental up front for you. Lie in your bed.

The appeal will only suspend the fine, not the ban. Not sure how they'll legally defend that but the FIFA spokeswoman was adamant he won't be playing anymore this World Cup.

Really had enough of all this now, I love him for everything he's done and the goals he's scored but it's Liverpool who suffer, again, because the man simply cannot control himself. Why are we being punished for something he's done on international duty? It's beyond a joke but there's no defending him and his idiocy has again had huge consequences for us.

I'd sell him if there are any takers. On first glance the punishment seems harsh until you remember this is the third time. The lad gives his all for us, but we can't afford to have a player that misses a large chunk of games every season.

Whether any can be arsed taking a risk on him is anyone's guess.

There are some realists, even if they seem to think international bans shouldn't carry over into the domestic game.

Imagine if he was playing for PSG or Monaco, he wouldn't have gotten a single ban on club level

Quote, obviously.

Why can't you defend it? This is an unprovoked attack on other players. He needs to be off the field for the safety of the remaining 21 players.

There is no way he should be getting on a football pitch till a panel of psychiatrists decide otherwise.

Suarez not even allowed inside a stadium or to train for 4 months.

Sounds unenforceable to me.

How is it unenforceable, quite easy I would say, he is not to go to any ground for 4 months.

How can I show my support for Suarez? Where do buy a t-shirt from?

"As a protest, I am boycotting all the upcoming FIFA related stuffs (World Cup games, merchandise, etc) until the end of time."

Terrific. Be brilliant if he stays there and signs for Barca or Madrid in January now hahaha.

The meltdown was inevitable but you can only disgrace your entire sport so many times. It's for his own good

Well, it would be but he still won't learn. The last ban should have been enough for anyone to sort themselves out.

No matter, this is pure meltdown gold. Banned but can be transferred.

From Rawk:

"As for those on this thread castigating the player. It comes down to whether you believe that the repeated biting is premeditated or spur-of-the-moment. I believe it's the latter.
"

Internet fan at his finest.

This ban, it makes me more supportive of Suarez than I was earlier today. More. Not less. Can't wait to see him back in action, playing for us.

And hopefully you'll support him even more when he bites again and gets an 1 year punishment.

I fully believe he will seriously hurt an opposition player next season.

Either by biting (yet again) or with one his mad bastard two footed airborne lunges.

Yes its grossly unfair to liverpool. They should take away his wages for the entire year.
They can't do it (unless they had put a clause on the new contract that they won't pay him if he gets banned for these kind of things).
