RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2012/2013)

Benitez has also said Wenger is the best manager in England and if SAF pushes him he will push SAF back.

Or something like that.

I remember hearing all this "Ferguson is bricking it" shit about Dalglish's messianic return to English football. Ferguson "knew" Dalglish was his true nemesis, and that his return would herald the end of him. You could almost repeat it verbatim for the reaction to Benitez from these surrogate Chelsea fans.

If Chelsea beat City on Sunday (which we must admit has a very good chance of happening considering Chelsea's record at the Bridge and the players they have at their disposal), RAWK will be unbearable.

They'll liken that prospective victory to some sort of David and Goliath-esque marvel and declare Benitez the saviour of football.

I can smell the Latin literature and poetic verses from here already.

Good point - a Chelsea win would generate hours of comedy.

I am thinking its pretty good.
I can't be arsed to check up, but surely it isn't? After the constant Danny Murphy inspired losses, we won against them constantly for several years until those few games that set up the weird 'can't deal with Torres' myth.
Those years were the first few years of Benitez's management I think.

In fact, a quick check of stretford end website for 2004-2010 shows a record on 9-1-5 in our favour.

Home fixtures:
2-1
1-0
2-0
3-0
1-4
2-1

Away:
1-0
0-0
1-0
1-0
1-2
0-2

Fa cup:
0-1

Fergie 8 - 4 Benitez

Exactly. Amazing how that myth of them having the beating of us came to pass isn't it? Basically from one big win.

Its funny because before the defeat at anfield (2-1) and that big one we had won home and away against Liverpool since Rafa took over

... Rafa should have got nowhere near challenging for the league with the squad he had. He had a great 11 (one which he put together - three of which are playing for the top two sides in the world at the mo). The squad paled in significance to the quad and wage bill that Ferguson had. ...

If he's on about the year they finished second, there wasn't much difference in the wage bills according to some stats from a Liverpool fan: http://www.liverpool-kop.com/2011/09/exclusive-liverpool-vs-man-united-wage.html and the year after that their wage bill was higher yet they finished seventh and we missed out on the title by one point.

Yeah, that and the Torres terrorising Vidic myth, cos Vidic fell over once.

That one really pissed me off. The following year Vidic went to Anfield and completely dominated Torres in general play. Torres was played in by Benayoun in a one v one with Ferdinand and his early shot deceived Edwin. Torres did feck all else all game yet, once again, he'd "terrorised" Vidic.

In all of his game against United, Torres maybe had two good games. In the others, he was nullified pretty well. Ferdinand, in particular, in 2007 at Anfield when we eked a 0-1 win gave one of the best defensive displays ever seen on a football field. He was immense.

Andy using the justice campaign to try to silence criticism of rafa on there as usual.

All the stuff Rafa did for Liverpool. All the stuff Rafa did for the City. All the stuff Rafa did in Europe. And all the stuff he did for the 96 and the Justice Campaigh means I want him to do well with his side today.

I mean have we honestly fecking forgot all that fecking already? Maybe people are right. Maybe Liverpool fans are shithouses? Dissapointing. LOOK WHAT HE DID FOR OUR CITY.

Hmm....

Our Rafa who art in West London, hallowed be his name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive Rafa who trespasses against us, and lead him not into temptation, but deliver him from evil.

Ronaldo was some player.
So was Saha, wish he done better here.
JOS is a legend.

I'm surprised no journo, or even academic, has picked up on RAWK.

Seems to be a genuinely different species out there.

Lads remember that RAWK post where Fergie was shitting himself liek an Alsatian or something like that.

Can you guys enlighten me as to where it is :D it's a classic.

edit: And theres feck all you can do about it. Or something

Carragher doesn't half like digging his studs into our players 'till they bleed, does he? Not sure if I'm glad he's effectively done now or not. For a big part of the end of his career he was shit. But he's always been dirty as feck, caused us loads of injuries over the years.

Something like " and I'm sorry mr ferguson, but Liverpool are back on their perch, and theres feck all you can do about it".

It's "Even if we don’t win feck all this season ladies and gentleman. We will not fall to pieces. Rafa is bringing back the glory days. And I do apologise Mr Ferguson, but there is feck all you can do about it."

That's fecking hilarious

The last paragraph had me in stitches
Well I’m sorry Mr Ferguson, although I’m not all that apologetic about it. But we are obsessed with that title. We might not win this battle, but the war is just beginning. You’d have to agree though, Mr Ferguson, that surely the war can’t go on all that long? You are an aging dog I’m afraid, Sir. You have to ask yourself the question Mr Ferguson, have you got enough fight in you to compete for the long haul? To finally put United’s name above Liverpool’s? And even if you do somehow manage that Mr Ferguson, how long will it last, given your age? One season? It’s hardly putting Manchester United in a league of their own, in the grand sceme, Mr Ferguson. If I might be so bold.

Even if we don’t win feck all this season ladies and gentleman. We will not fall to pieces. Rafa is bringing back the glory days. And I do apologise Mr Ferguson, but there is feck all you can do about it.

Not only that, but Rafa has the summer time to analyse and tinker with this already extremely strong squad; just a few minor adjustments to really let the shackles off.

2009/10 Transfers In:
Aquilani
Johnson
Kyrgiakos
Németh
Rodríguez

2009/10 Transfers Out:
Alonso etc

Rofl it appears a few rawkites have invaded theshedend pretending to be chelsea fans and praising FSW. They were banned pretty fast!

My favourite quote from that thread

Im sure someone else will pick the rest of this post apart, but in response to your first question, what does winning the Champions League 7 years ago have to do with what we need now?

We just sacked a manager that won the Champions League seven months ago.

Where's all their optimism come from? Once Suarez leaves at the end of the season they're buggered.
