RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2012/2013)

They now have a song for their joke of a manager. It's of course pathetic and tragicomic. And shit. It goes like this:

To the tune of Danny Boy.

Oh Brendan boy the cups and league are calling
From Europe's dreams to Premier leagues one day
And we will rise from a past so steeped in glory
To win to win, for it's the Liverpool way

And never let the memories we carry
Bend our resolve to set a winning tone
For we will claim the trophies and the medals
Oh mighty reds, you'll never walk alone.

All their players are better than ours you know.

So when I look over their squad and see players like Smalling, Jones, De Gea, Kagawa, Nani, Anderson and Young (all expensive and yet to convince) and stalwarts that are clearly past it like Scholes, Ferdinand and Giggs, I smile to think of the much smaller fees we paid for much higher quality players such as Skrtel, Agger, Reina, Allen, Sterling, Lucas and Shelvey, and the experienced veterans that we can still call upon such as Carragher and Gerrard.

Man Utd will struggle to keep up this year, perhaps even having to settle for a place in the Europa next season!

Conveniently forgetting the 100mil plus spend on players like Aqualani,Carroll,Henderson,Downing,Enrique,Adam.

But, then again, Ferguson’s great ability has always been getting team performances out of 11 average players.

A few weeks back, during the Liverpool v Man Utd game, I noticed a lot of comments from their fans along the lines ‘how are we being outplayed by a poor team?’, etc. and it got me thinking again: are Manchester United really so much better than us? I mean, sure, they still have that uncanny ability to pull wins out of…well, seemingly nothing but that’s all to do with Ferguson’s pact with the Devil.

When you get down to the finer details, you’ll see a group of very average players, ably assisted by one or two great. I’ve discussed this many times since the season started, with friends and family, and we all agree: Man Utd will struggle to keep up this year, perhaps even having to settle for a place in the Europa next season!

Already, they are 4 points behind a very consistently strong-looking Chelsea side, and I believe that City, Arsenal and Spurs are all much stronger this year and if they slip behind before Christmas, I can’t see them catching up. Sure, they’re in second now, but have they actually faced anybody decent besides ourselves and Tottenham yet? No, and they lost to Everton and Southampton also ran them pretty close.

That last paragraph is all you need to read really. (Bolded the top line for a laugh too). I love how Scholes, Rio and Giggs are all 'clearly past it' but Carragher is an 'experienced veteran' that they can call on.

If that's not puke analysis then I don't know what is.

Enrique is okay and didn't cost much.

Nani, Anderson and Smalling have PL & CL medals between them though. Nani IMO has proven himself in his best seasons here, and Smalling has been very impressive. Anderson has been a bit meh though.

Anyway, it's good to see that liverpools fans feel smug about their transfers. They can keep their carrolls and downings, and we can keep our RVP's, Kagawa's, Smalling's, Nani's and Valencia's.

The only reason I put him in is because Rodgers doesnt seem to want to use him except in the Europa league. He doesnt seem to want any of KKK signings apart from Suarez.

Carragher is great. He's only really used as a sub these days and he looks ready for a puff on an asthma inhaler before he's even taken his tracksuit off.

Why do we spend our money on it? I can see myself going the same way as many of my mates - gibbing the game, saving a shit load of money and finding something worthwhile to do. Why kick a ball when you know the result is predetermined? Doesn't make sense. It's like the Harlem Globetrotters. And you just know it's going to get worse. Mike Riley as referee chief. Gill right up there in the FA. Laughable.

:lol: I wonder if they were to be relegated or sit close to the relegation zone for the next 5 years they will wheel out this excuse as to why they don't want to go and watch their team anymore.

"A few of me mates refuse to pay anymore.." buying alfoil stocks in Liverpool is more lucrative.

Meanwhile he conveniently forgot all their ludicrously expensive flops. Or the fact the likes of Allen and Suarez weren't bought for small fees either. What a joke.

I like the idea that already being 4 points behind Chelsea, with a strong City, Arsenal and Spurs close behind, somehow bennefits Liverpool in a comparison with United. The same Liverpool who are 13 points behind Chelsea.

If anything, it shows a group of clubs in the top half accelerating away from Liverpool. Which should and would be a greater cause for concern, if they weren't so obsessed with the goings on at Old Trafford.

It doesnt make any sense! While he has a point that our signings from last season and this season haven't proven themselves, how can he then assert that Joe Allen has? 15 million pound player Joe Allen.

Also Carragher is in a terrible way - he's basically at the level of G Nev in his last ill fated season.

There is so much wrong with that post that if I was face to face with whoever said it I just wouldn't have the energy to debate it all

Not RAWK, but didn't know where else to put this.

Was talking to a friend of a friend the other day. I'd never met him before, but we got talking about football. Turns out he's a Liverpool fan, and when I told him I'm a United fan, the first thing he said was 'can't wait till Fergie snuffs it'. I thought he was only joking, but was still thinking 'wtf is wrong with this guy', so I just kinda chuckle nervously, but then he says 'no really, I hate his guts. I would jump for joy if he were to die tomorrow'. At this point I felt like punching the cnut in the head! I'd only just met him and all. I just left. Aside from all the Liverpool/United hate, surely people don't wish death upon others, especially arguably the greatest manager of all time. I was talking to my friend later(who was there, and is a Liverpool fan) and told him his mates a cnut. He said he didn't blame me for leaving.

First time I've met a Liverpool fan so close to RAWK mentality, and I'm best mates with a good few Liverpool heads. It was ridiculous.

The same happened me a few weeks ago. I was talking to a young Liverpool guy at work and he started going on about how it's a joke that Utd bribe all the referees. He was serious. I just stood there looking at him for a few seconds and then I spent the next five minutes explaining how stupid his statement was.

In fairness to him he agreed with me in the end (maybe because he just wanted rid of me) but it's amazing to think that real people actually believe these things

There are more than 7 billion people in the world. And that means room for a lot of nutters out there.

The same cnut would probably be up in arms if you said something about Hillsborough (not that you would, because death shouldn't be mocked or wished upon).

I have a cousin who is a Liverpool supporter, and he's so deluded it's unreal. He bets every single season that Liverpool will finish above us. He's constantly claiming that our time is coming to an end, while they are a sleeping giant who is awakening :wenger:

Best about it is, he hardly watches their matches when they're on. Most of the time, he has to ask what the score was. His excuse is that his 2 year old daughter has the rule of the TV

He wouldn't be able to tell you whether a ball was blew up or stuffed.

I actually think its more than that.

Its 20 odd years since I lived in Manchester, and I've come accross many Liverpool fans over the years, back when we first started winning it was still rivalry and little more, but I think this whole 'fergie should die, fergie bribes the refs' stuff is far more prevalent than just Rawk, its how a lot of the younger generation of fans, who have grown up with the Rafa/KKK version of liverpool actually think.

And thats because since Rafa the club itself has been telling them fergie is this despot in control and responsible for all their failings.

Its a very dangerous thing to do, and the club should have been pulled up on it a long time ago.

I worry for them if he does die, who will they blame then ?

Will they all start cursing Fergie's Ghost and wishing he was alive so they could fight him with conventional weapons, instead of ouija boards and garlic.

Reina 10 - DDG 7

LOL! CARRAGER 8 - Ferdinand 7

Suarez = Rooney!

No, no.
Suarez 10, Rooney 9.

:lol::lol::lol:

Definitely. It's actually a frightening insight to minor brainwashing that people can actually delude themselves into believing things like that.

For example, I know a bloke who has absolutely no blood ties to City, claims that he supported them back in Div 2 (dunno how, because there was hardly any coverage of anything other than premier league pre 2000 and even then it was pretty limited coverage of the English league) so magically he started supporting in 2000 and will not ever answer how he first got into them in the first place. Most of us know it's obvious that he jumped on the bandwagon when they were promoted and then started reading blue moon and it was all the opposite of the big bad United so it was a reason to hate.

Now this guy has no blood ties to City at all but has one of the most bitter and vile streak's that I've ever seen. To the point where none of us even talk to him when he's at training etc etc unless we initiate the conversation and can steer it away from him just dropping loads of vitriol on Fergie and United and the players.

We all think it's genuinely a mental disorder. Brainwashing of some kind because I just don't get how you could seriously delude yourself into being a bitter twunt over supporting a football club. It's purely mind boggling.

You see it more and more these days through all the sets of fans from every club. Oh United hate this, conspiracy that, fergie not that great this, team is pretty shite but wins that. It's psychologically very interesting the levels of delusion that people will spike in the attempt to not give any praise to it.

One of my mates is a Liverpool fan and he refuses to watch us play. I think the only time he's watched Utd in the last 5 or 6 years is when we played Barca in 2011, after finding out we were down 3-1. They're so bitter about our success it's unreal.

In fairness, I'm not mad on watchin them play. Maybe that's because they're shit though.

But would you refuse point blank to watch them no matter what? I'll watch Liverpool if they're playing someone big like Arsenal or Chelsea, or when they were in the CL etc.

It'll be the same as the "One Man Team" thing. We've been a one man team for years now with RVN, Ronaldo, Rooney & RVP. It'll be the same with the next manager, they'll just blame him.

Yeah, I watch them when they're playing a bigger team. Tbh, its not because they're Liverpool, it's because their matches are always so boring! I watched their match against Sunderland a few weeks ago, and feck me it was boring as feck(no thanks to Sunderland tbf). If they were playing good stuff and involved in exciting matches I'd happily watch them. But the fact that they're boring as feck, coupled with having to watch Suarez for 90 mins means I'd prefer not to watch them if they're playing a small team, whereas I would with City, Arsenal, Chelsea and the likes.
