RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2012/2013)

I don't know why anyone would want to sign up. It's just delusion on a mass scale, they don't even correct each other among themselves - they just ignore complete bollix to keep their tiny bit of hope alive. If I was to come on here and start making up shit about Liverpool I'd at least be proved wrong by half the posters but vice-versa it's a completely different story.

The idea that Fergie doesn't want the best for us is possibly the most delusional thing I've ever read...and many of them seem to agree. On the rare occasion that someone does pipe up and prove someone wrong, it's promptly ignored or they'll soon be banned because they don't want to live in the real world. They've even got a City fan saying that the Glazers got what they wanted getting rid of Fergie...he was the best thing they ever had. I seen someone ask what Moyes net spend was and they avoided the point completely. Someone else mentioned that Fergie always referred to "I" instead of "we" when talking. What a crock of shit the place is.

Agreed. Football revisionism at its worst

Right after the argument I got banned for, a supposed United supporter came in and gave his opinions and they basically went along with what the dippers were saying about Moyes and they all agreed. One of them even said he "Talks too much sense for a United fan on RAWK". The same opinions would be absolutely panned on here.

Think this is the right place for this:

DOMESTIC TROPHY WINNERS 2013
Manchester United 1
Wigan Athletic 1
Swansea City 1
Crewe Alexandra 1
Liverpool 0, City 0, Chelsea 0, Arsenal 0

Hello. :lol::lol:

How many threads about SAF on RedCafe? I tried to count but it was taking too long. How many on RAWK? - actually I can answer this, it's one.

Poor guy, he must struggle to count with more than 5 fingers haha. How stupid of us that we have quite a few threads on quite possibly the best manager to grace the sport, we are so lame.

I actually really hope Suarez leaves this summer, it would almost be as satisfying as City losing to Wigan.

Yeah but they lock their Suarez thread and delete posts from it whenever he's up to no good. I bet it goes through the roof when he leaves in the summer.

By the way, the pages of the threads on the first page of the Manchester United forum add up to around 55 or 56.

I wouldn't worry too much. I have just been through all 17 of his posts and he doesn't strike me as anything other than WUM.

This was fun in the Ando thread from him,

He's cack and you guys paid £20m for him in 2007

He must be forgetting the 35 million they paid for Carroll.

Oh god! There was one on Who Ate All The Pies, that reckoned "in todays money" and adjusting for inflation football prices, Anderson counts as a 50mil signing.

They are very fond of locking threads. What is the main catalyst for locking them? Is it their own delusion getting to a delusional level even by their standards, or something else?

Just had a search and dug that up.

I hadn’t realised that Anderson had cost united 17 million 5 years ago, so factoring inflation and the upward trend of transfer fees I make that 55 million in todays money. Thats a nice bit of ammo the next time a United goon starts giving me stick that liverpool spunked 20 on Henderson or Downing or Carroll

Suddenly Ando becomes a 55mil signing, and Carroll a 20m......

That must be the dumbest fecking thing I've read in years.

6 fingers, surely......

Well I guess that means in 5 years Carroll counts as a 120m signing?

In actual inflatory terms £20m in 2007 is now worth £24.2m in today's money. Obviously, football fees have inflated at a completely different rate. We (well Madrid) do seem to have been the catalyst for it when we sold Ronaldo for £80m. Although I think Kaka have have been purchased for an absurd sum at around the same time.

The truth of it is that Anderson hasn't materialised into what we had hoped but £20m for a 19 year old who was starting for, arguably, Portugal's biggest club in the Champions League and getting himself noticed, was not bad business.

He has started just under 1 out of every 2 of our league games since 2007, according to wikipedia's statistics on him. The reality is that given the game time, he'd prosper into a top midfielder. He would easily walk into the teams of all but about 4 clubs in the Premier League/

Apparently Rawk don't take very kindly to Citeh fans.....

From Rawk said:
i have to work in manc city centre, have to deal with mufc and cit yfans every day. Im not for one minute suggesting that LFC fans are a cut above anybody as quite frankly i have met some right beauts that associate themselves with our club. But i can honestly say that never before I have a spoke with so many deluded fans thet know feck all about football. Im very fair when talking football i genuinely wont let bias infect my conversation, however they cant afford me the same respect. I recall a conversation in September last year, i was talking to a city fan 50 odd years old, nice guy but we got into a conversation about who would win the league, whilst i told him i was thrilled that city won the title last year i told him they got lucky as united threw it away after city had earlier threw it away. I told him that mufc would win the league based on the simple fact that they win 1 title every 2 years. His response was that their team was shit and their time was up. i reminded him that Mr. Ferguson could put 11 sheep out on teh fiedl and get a result he laughed at me. Spoke to him again Monday as hadnt seen him for 5 months just to re visit that conversation. He blamed it on not signing RVP. Its weird as most of the city fans over the past few weeks have been blaiming their poor season on Brian Marwood not getting no.1 targets in. I pointed out with that squad they could still win trophies even if they never bought any new faces, but their spoilt attitude was irritating. They want messi, they want Ronaldo , they want it all and now. I know some top city lads who have been going for years through thick and this so they arent all bad, but today was a massive wake up call for them, they have done feck all in europe, they have been poor in the league and were abysmal today. Tell me is that down to the players or the manager? Me personally i think Mancinu is full of shit and i was delighted when Rafa's LFC team spanked them hoime and away in teh CL a few years ago. Mancini was given a massive lesson over two legs and his inadequacies as a manager where laid bare even then. I genuibely fear that they arabs may have a little bit of nouse and hire Rafa, i think he would do a job there.

I tried to work it out but got £31.5M. I reckon the rawkite took the 2007 rate of 5% and simply applied it all years since. Am I right with the figures below?

Rate Value
5% 20.0
4% 23.2
0% 25.9
2% 25.8
2% 27.8
1% 30.1
- 31.5

I haven't the slightest clue about the maths of it all. I study Law, aha. I cheated by using this site.

Lets see, with that calc, Ronaldo goes up to 89.6m, adding in this scouse tits logic of multiplying that number by about 2.6(Anderson's 17.5 inflated to 21.175 and somehow becoming 55) to get football inflation, means we sold Ronaldo for just short of 233m.

No wonder everyone thinks we still have "the Ronaldo money".

This is the same scouse logic that operates in net profit though, rather than valuing what they actually spent. They see it as they got paid £15m to get given Andy Carroll. Ignorance is bliss. :wenger:

I have signed up in RAWK because sometimes the best debates came from people who have opposite views. The idea that Fergie wanted Moyes, not Mourinho because he was afraid that Mourinho would do better than him was delusional but only a minority though that. The majority of there will disagreeing with that poster who said that.

The only post it was ignored was when I posted the data about net transfer from Rafa and SAF during Rafa's years at Liverpool, arguing that cause he spend twice as us, he should have won a title.

Anyway, my first day there was good. We didn't agree at anything but they neither called me a Manc cnut, neither banned me, though one poster was asking for my ban without any reason. More hostile than redcafe for posters of other teams, but much better than I though.
