RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2012/2013)

We will rise again someday and we will be bigger and better than last time. We are a unique club and no one in our family will ever walk alone. We are proud to be Liverpool supporters and no one can ever take that away from us. When we were the best we won with class, style and dignity, unlike like them. Be proud tonight that you follow the mighty reds and not some over hyped, sky monstrosity.

Every year, without fail...

Just had a quick gander and was shocked by the amount of realism in there. A few posts to counter the usual delusion:

Mate, this is a RAWK goes into meltdown thread. Stop spoiling it with the sensible posts from there! ;)

I'd love for them to go on a run now winning the last few games just to get the cycle on track. They still seem unusually somber this year.

The admission that he acted disgracefully has been replaced with an attack on everyone who ever committed a foul, the media, Fergie, referees, the FA and a million other blameless people and institutions. No one does righteous indignation like Liverpool fans. They're gonna email this person, swamp such-and-such's phone-in, cancel this subscription, never buy that newspaper, start e-petitions, harass MPs, etc, etc. They are just constantly in campaign mode. If only it was a league campaign, eh? ;)

that Rawbola Sufferer sounds like an utter bellend.

When did they beat Real Madrid over 2 years? half way back into last century?
How is that relevant at all?

Torres is a really frustrating striker, I wouldn't want to see him play for Manchester United in those times, but the facht is, after leaving KFC (if you can't BEAT them, EAT them™), he has won the World Cup, the European Cup and the Champions Leagues side by side makes him quite a lucky chap isn't it?

I was in a queue last night for a club, and there were a bunch of Liverpool fans behind me talking about Suarez and saying how much of a legend he was. One numnut actually brought up the theory of saying that Suarez had planned to bite a Chelsea player before the game. Why? Well, before the game this numnut claimed that every team around the world would want Suarez in their team, and that in the Summer many clubs would try and sign him. Now that Suarez has bit Ivanovic, clubs don't want to do anything to do with him. Apparently a masterstroke from the Uruguayan.

I thought maybe he was off his face, so I turned around to ask him if he was serious, and he was deadly serious.

It was like experiencing a RAWK post in the flesh.

Did it ever occur to him that he may have planned the bite to drive his price down and to go on the cheap to a bidding club to raise his own salary?

From the garbage he was spouting, (there was more), I'm convinced that theory didn't cross his mind.

I envy you, to be honest. And such a beautiful specimen, too -- 'He only bit to stay at Liverpool, he sacrificed his dignity for the love of Liverpool Football Club!'

Nice piece of work to put alongside The Nicomachean Ethics and De Interpretatione.

No matter what team you support, Luis Suarez reaches into the very core of your soul and stirs your primal emotions. He makes you feel alive. When he is on the ball everyone moves to the edge of their seats. Your heart rate spikes, you feel a rush of adrenaline and like any player should - you experience the game with him because he personafies the love of the game. When he plays nothing else matters.

Sounds logic. Why refuse another team when they want to sign you, when you can simply bite someone, have a big ban and other teams don't want to sign you. Very reasonable, he probably racially abused Evra last year for the same reason.

Those sentences are like a combination of the songs Sexual Healing and Nothing else Matters.

Of course, the last time he bit someone only a club like Liverpool wanted something to do with him!!

So, instead of making himself even more loved by Liverpool fans by turning down all the clubs that would want him in the summer, he got rid of any speculation by biting a player and by that damaging Liverpool's reputation and make many of their sensible fans go even further into the "great talent, but too much trouble"-camp. Yeah, I can see the logic in that.

 I was trying my best not to stir things up. There was 5 of them, lead by the guy who brought up the theory above. From the sounds of it, they were genuinely in love with Suarez.

I...just...don't understand.

now this is when they did a million back passes to the goalkeeper....yeah...style alright.

Damn straight RD. I've seen a good bit of pool games from back in the day to see what all the fuss was about & i have to say, that it was most likely them that contributed the most to the scrapping on the back-pass rule. It was seriously shockin to see Hansen & co, continously doin it for large portions of the game when they had so much talent in the team.

They still played some great football but were very negative alot of the time too!

Suarez = Loyal Liverpool genius :wenger::lol::wenger:

At least we have the fountain of youth - when United started winning in the early 90's Liverpool-fans said that we have no real fans, just kids who follow United because of their success. 10-15 years later - I heard the same arguments. The problem of course being that any fan who was 10 years in 1993 - naturally had to be 25 years in 2008 - but apparently we still only had kids as fans!

So we can't get any older guys...

The irony of course, being that only someone not following football before the premier league era in the first place would not be aware of our attendance records even in the 2nd division. (our average gate that year being still the highest in the entire football league and about 10k more than anfield)

Here's Descartes' critique of the Aristotelian concept of Suarezian heroics:

Nah, feck that. Today was fecking ridiculous. The last person I saw bite someone was my three-year old when his older brother took his toy. It was the act of a petulant child and not a grown man and certainly not a Liverpool legend. When he behaves like that, the only thing that separates him from the likes of Joey Barton is the fact he can play and Barton can't. The amount of good Reds trying to see this in a different light is depressing. i know tribalism makes folols of us all but there is no way biting like some fecking toddler can be seen as anything other than disgusting. Today should have been about much more, but instead it's about Luis Suarez.

Strangely lucid, I'd say. They ain't all nutters over there.

PS It would seem that the majority of 'em are either "legends", "scribes", or "staff". I wonder what it takes to be considered a "scribe"? There must be hundreds of those at RAWK.

I think that you can be a 'legend' in RAWK with a thousand of posts. A lot of Redcafe's newbies would have been Rawk's 'legends'.

Has that poster get banned yet anyway?

Nope. I don't think he has. He's a "scribe", though - maybe they're more lenient with their scribes.

Suarez banned for 10 games...RAWK should be in full meltdown tonight.

I knew they had an agenda, but I thought they'd settle for 6-8 games (which we should still have contested). Ten games? That's incredible. So many grounds for appealing this, and we bloody well better had do so, and do it right this time. None of this "take the ban and move on, for the good of the club" nonsense. We need to fight this properly, because it's clearly disproportionate in relation to bans for similar offences, and far worse offences.

feckin unreal

im absolutely astounded

10 games yeah no conspiracy whatsofeckingever feck off those gang of fecking c*nts!! Livid

First time i have felt that it might just be best that he moves on elsewhere.
