During his lengthy ban Suarez will be offered the role to star in the Uruguayan version of Hannibal Lecter. His first scene will be eating a black man and mumbling "Negrito" while chewing the meat.

My brother did it once. Something to do with nerves.....Anyway- it's not a biggie.

Don't forget he has NEVER been sent off in English football and yet he is treated like the pantomime villain

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
Hell biting someone doesn't leave marks which a studs up challenge does on purpose. Can't believe our own fans are against him. He apologized people! Forgive him, yes?

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
fecking love Suarez more than ever - what a player, a magician....Don't give a shit what he did, he's a winner who gives 100% every time for Liverpool

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
Some are acting like he bit his finger off! Wasn't a mark on him.

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
Its all shite Ivanovic will be playing the next game he isn't seriously injured and you'd think he'd had his leg broke here, people want to get their priorities right there was no dangerous tackle or career threatening lunge for the ball if it was any other player it wouldn't have even got a mention, just another Suarez crime against humanity feck the lot of them and go take a look at Wigans McManaman's tackle the other week that's what you get up in arms over !!!!

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
If Scholes/Rooney had done it it had have been laughed off.

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
Well Suarez may be a vampire, but he is our little vampire. He's so special that guy

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
i hate ivanovic as well but at least just stand on his feet or drop a lazy elbow into his stomach so you can get away with it.

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
Luis is simply too good, and our other players too average, for us to take the high ground on this one.

Rawkbola Sufferer said:
People should stop this exagerations, there is more non moral behavious in the field of play than just biting. didn't they (chelsea) booed the Hillsbroug memorial? n some of their players such as lampard n co refused to wore the armbands?. we should stop this shite n get behind our saviour, he less deserve this act of ingarateness. had it not **** of him we would have been by now competing with QPR. infact what I know is Suarez has been hiding the faill system n foul tactics deployed by the manager. IN SUAREZ WE TRUST.

(Someone from Soccernet)
Here are some of the previous controversies surrounding the Uruguayan forward.

February 2007: Suarez made his international debut for Uruguay against Colombia but was sent off in the final minutes after being shown a second yellow card for dissent.

November 2007: Joined Ajax from Uruguayan side Nacional but he was later suspended by the Dutch giants after a half-time dressing-room altercation with team-mate Albert Luque.

July 2010: During the 2010 World Cup quarter-finals, Suarez prevented Ghana's Dominic Adiyiah from scoring in the final minute with a deliberate handball on the line and was subsequently sent off. A penalty was awarded but missed by Asamoah Gyan and footage showed Suarez celebrating on the sidelines. Uruguay eventually went through to the last four on penalties.

November 2010: Suarez was handed a seven-match ban by the Dutch FA and fined by his club for biting PSV Eindhoven midfielder Otman Bakkal during an Eredivisie match.

October 2011: Following his move to Liverpool in January 2011, he was involved in a tackle with Everton's Jack Rodwell and goes down with apparent minimal contact. Rodwell was then sent off.

October 2011: Suarez was alleged to have racially abused Manchester United's Patrice Evra during a Premier League match. Suarez was later found guilty by an independent regulatory commission and banned for eight matches and fined £40,000.

December 2011: Was seen making an offensive gesture towards Fulham fans. At this time he had already been charged by the Football Association over the racism incident, although not yet punished, but was handed a further one-match ban for the gesture.

February 2012: United and Liverpool met again at Old Trafford, but more controversy blew up as Suarez refused to shake Evra's hand before kick-off.

October 2012: Celebrated a goal against Everton by diving in front of Toffees boss David Moyes who had earlier claimed that "divers2 such as Suarez were putting fans off the English game.

January 2013: Handles the ball prior to scoring Liverpool's winner in the FA Cup third round tie at Mansfield.

April 2013: Appears to bite Branislav Ivanovic on the arm but escapes punishment on the pitch as the referee fails to see it, and scores Liverpool's equaliser seven minutes into stoppage time as they draw 2-2 with Chelsea at Anfield.

Can't defend it BUT Keane/Cantona/Terry/Cole did worse blah blah

No blood so not that bad

Overblown

Just because it's Suarez, if it was the Fulham left back no one would care

Fergie's influence is why the FA are looking at it

any others? or does that sum it up.

This is where reading the impressively long list of Suarez's transgressions loses its gusto for me. It rather cheapens the whole criticism.

It's like saying "And once he ate an ice-cream while on a sugar-free diet!"

The man's a cannibal for heaven's sake, there's no need to 'dress it up'.

Indeed. "What heinous evil this is: the man had the nerve to celebrate his country getting to the semi-final of the World Cup! Shoot him now before he goes on a rampage"

Just went on for a nosey, everything interesting seems to be locked. Heck, someone even started a thread asking why everything is locked.

Their irrational worshiping of the man goes so far that they ignore his own admission of guilt: Unlike the Evra incident he has - actually - apologized for this one, and Brenton has made it clear enough where the club stands too. But for some RAWKites it´s clearly impossible to admit the little bastard has done anything wrong.

And in one sense it´s understandable too: They worship one of the least likeable players in world football - and somewhere deep down they´re probably aware of this: Admitting he´s at fault here will mean admitting he - actually - bit a fellow professional. An act so ludicrous it would make it impossible for any sane fan to get unconditionally behind the man responsible for it. The only way to remain safely in denial - is to rationalize his incredible behaviour. In spite of the glaring fact that he has - himself - issued what looks like an almost desperate apology. The RAWK-Suarez relationship is deep, man - and mysterious.

Even if Suarez took out a sledgehammer and attacked his opponents on the pitch Rawk would still find excuses for his conduct

They'd dig until they found out that Mr Ferguson owned shares in a rival sledge hammer company and create a conspiracy theory.

sent to me from the newbies:

""The difference between Suarez and most of the others is that Suarez's actions demonstrate a pattern of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moral_turpitude

Bernie Madoff's (alleged) crimes where crimes of moral turpitude.

Someone getting drunk on a Saturday night and getting into a fight, resulting a conviction for ABH, is NOT."

Is it locked yet?

Don't forget he has NEVER been sent off in English football and yet he is treated like the pantomime villain

This is actually the biggest scandal for me, how the hell did he escape a red card so far with all the shit he pulls? The refs must be doing their work blindfolded to miss out on all the vile shit he has pulled so far.

lol @ the comment that if Rooney/Scholes had done it, it'd have been laughed off... I seem to recall a ludicrous ban for swearing at the camera ;P

I like the way the mods always defend locking threads by claiming that 'there's nothing more to be said'. The irony of that obviously escapes them.

yup.

That would be banned for swearing at a camera rooney and banned for a red card in a friendly tournament scholes, the same tournament that gerrard (from memory) didnt serve a ban for after a red card a year later.

It's getting to the point where you expect to read stuff like: "It's ludicrous - the Yorkshire Ripper actually killed people but he didn't get a ban."

It is quite amazing he's never been sent off.

In the words of LLoyd Grossman, let's look at the evidence

1) kicking Scott Parker in the stomach
2) numerous stamps on shins and ankles (at least 10...go and check the youtube vid)
3) the evra scenario
4) the bite
5) many other snide actions.

he;s just a sneak. unthinkable that he's got away with it!

I swear the Daily Mail has had about 10 different main headlines about this today...They've even got a picture of his teeth now. As if somehow Uruguayan teeth are worse.

I'm sort of curious to see how they'd react if he bit a United player. Would they defend him to the hilt again? I have a sinking feeling they might. The fans at least.

Can someone make a pic of Suarez as a Resident Evil zombie?

This, of his list of crime, handling and getting sent off is just what everyone would have done.

If Rooney or Scholes had done it they would've been sent straight to a therapist - as the assumption would have been that something was seriously wrong with 'em. It says it all about Suarez that this is, somehow, to be expected from him. The latter is entirely lost on his apologists. They don't get how insane it truly is to bite a fellow footballer in a professional match - not once but twice.
