Better than Ronaldo you know
:lol: Good times. And don't forget Sinama Pongolle -- together they were Les Gems, you know.

Had a little dig, and found this great article from 2003 --

I'm not doubting Ronaldo's abilities. Clearly he's a talented kid who may be on the threshold of greatness. It just strikes me as rather odd that no-one has given the same attention to Liverpool's equally stunning new teenage recruit.

It seems Gerard Houllier's mistake with Anthony Le Tallec was to buy him early rather than delay until everyone in Europe wanted him. Obviously, Liverpool should have waited until Le Tallec's value was £12m.

Soon enough, the rest of the nation will wake up to the fact Le Tallec and Ronaldo played in the same world youth championships not so long ago and it was the Liverpool new boy who was voted the best player.

And spill the beans on A@A, london red! I can't believe he's not trolling.

Good work, that one is class. I'd forgotten that lad even existed. I sometimes wish there was a RAWK-Caf crossover space so we could throw their ridiculous predictions back at them and laugh.

As much as I enjoy laughing at Liverpool's shoddy transfer policy during the last decade, even the Caf went oh là là over Le Tallec.

Being fair this lad [Ronaldo] is probably on a level par if not slightly below Liverpool's Anthony Le Tallec. Both 18, both going to be world class. Except Le Tallec has the bigger reputation.

The thing is noone knows how these teenage wonders will turn out. Lets hope both fulfil their potential and make their clubs proud.

Re Pongolle and Le Tallec, I don't think they've been majorly overhyped, they are 2 very talented youngsters. If they develop into 2 world-class players is anyone's guess but they are undoubtedly 2 very, very talented players who I'm sorry we've missed out on.

Was a fair point though. Le Tallec should have been a bigger and better player than he became. Clearly went to the wrong club to develop.

At the time of the Manchester United game, Nemanja Vidic was widely regarded as the World's best centre back. By the time the full time whistle had been blown, the Serb was a broken man.

:lol:

Torres brought the ball down with his chest nicely, but he had a problem; he was facing 360 degrees away from the goal

:lol::lol:

:lol: fair play Steve, Vidic was awful in that game.

double :lol: like my 360 degree Uturn comment the other day!

Explains Carraghers problems then, he's always facing 360 degrees away from his own net.

Not much in the way of beans to spill. I know a few lads who are Liverpool ST holders who have met Andy a few times. He is certainly no Manc...or if he is he has a hell of a cover...going to Liverpool games and what not :)

Dippernomics.

In five minutes the Mancs get fecked in the ass and I become £2k richer. Good.start.to.day.
Please Explain .......

I paid uni fees a few months back that I didn't realise the Government actually were meant to pay. #feckINGWINNING

No quotes about how "happy" they are that we drew Madrid? :lol: There's sure as hell going to be a ton of CR7 supporters on Merseyside when that tie happens. #they'resadasfeck

Pretty much saying Madrid aren't as good as last year and that we should progress.

Of course they are. Once this line becomes accepted, then if we do go out, they will argue how poor we are and how they would be able to beat this Madrid team.

If we go through, then it is because we have beaten a side on the decline...

How many have they scored since Rafa, the boring and clueless waiter took them over? Probably more than under di Matteo the entire season so far who was supposed to be a Chelsea legend.

Shite club, shite fans, they don´t deserve Rafa a single bit.
I wanna see the faces of all those smart ass english journos and pundits today.
We sure did dodge a bullet when we refused to interview Rafa for the job. He's useless.
if chelsea do well this season i hope rafa then fecks them off for madrid. that would be sweet
Pleased for Rafa, well in lad.
Well in Rafa lad.
Will laugh if the Chelsea fans end up wanting Rafa to stay, only for him to fly off to Madrid.
Love this Rafa Chelsea Blue Army, really the bestest best team in the league at the moment. An absolute joy to watch, the league's coming home boys!
Raftastic!
If Chelsea get Falcao in January then old Demento will be shitting in his pants. I reckon Chelsea could be outsiders for the title this season. Would love it for Rafa if he pulled that off. Would be a massive fcuk off to all those wankers in the press that vilified him!

Shame it would be with the Chelsea though...they don't deserve him!
Well done Rafa. Shame really as he could win every game 8-0 and soon as Pep gets bored he will be unemployed again.
Delighted for rafa! the guy is a great manager and its a fact that deserves recognition. I hope he gets the madrid job in the summer.
No credit at all to Rafa from anyone on sky sports. Unsurprising.
...

I always love how Sir Alex, a man who has seen them all off in his time and come out on top more often than not, is shitting it about Rafa.

I bet Fergie hasn't given him a second thought since the week Rafa took over at Chelsea.

They spend more time cheering for City and Chelsea than their own team. It's hilarious.

Somebody said that Sturridge was arrogant. The replies;

I suspect the myth comes about largely because he is black I'm sad to say.
I think (well I know) that many people seem to label young black men as arrogant.
I was trying to say that the perception that he was lazy was as a result of casual racism (and is the case in the way many young black men are perceived)
So, because he does a dance when he scores he's deemed as being arrogant? Brilliant!
As Sturridge is set to become a Liverpool player the rawk mods intervene;

This 'arrogance/attitude problem' thing is getting really, really boring, and if it comes up again the thread will be locked.

How very dare that initial poster who thought Daniel Sturridge was arrogant.

Official RAWK Match Report, Liverpool v Sunderland. September 25, 2010:

As the game progressed, Sunderland appeared to be happy with what they had. Danny Welbeck spent 75% of his time on the deck, but you have to take your hat off to the lad. Being led off to the side of the pitch, he stood up to the barrage of abuse – fans foaming at the mouth – bold as brass, shoulders back. The sort of arrogance that makes you think he might well make it.
