RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

 Suarez > Rooney and Kuyt = Nani are among my favourites.

They can't help themselves can they? Dribbling over their keyboards constantly.

I've noticed a current favourite of their's is rating Lucas above Anderson based on being picked for the Brazilian squad.

Anderson is actually fat and shit, you see, whereas Lucas isn't limited at all, or indeed pointless.

Never mind about the ridiculous Kuyt 8, Nani 8. But Doni's a 8? The same Roma Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime who conceded 7 at OT?

That was a hilarious read. Where to even start.

The fact that they both walk in to two of the top sides in Europe, when fit, says a lot about both players.

How the feck does a none CL none Europa league count as a "top" side in Europe.

Agger – 8 & Carragher – 8 v Ferdinand – 7 & Vidic – 9

So the top CB pairing in the world, 4 leagues in 5 years and 3 CL finals in 5 years is now on par with Carragher and Agger?

Lucas – 9 v Carrick – 6
Lucus must be Keane, Robbo and Souness all rolled into one to knock down the backbone most of our deep champion league runs into a 6.

If he wins even one League title with us before he retires, he will rightly be held on the same level as a player like Giggs.

So 1 = 12?

Kuyt – 8 v Nani – 8
13 goals 7 assists is apparently equal to 9 goals 14 assists.

Suarez – 10 & Carroll – 7 v Rooney – 9 & Hernandez – 7

A calamity of a post ends with a bang with this humdinger. I can't even begin to discuss this one, it's beyond ridiculous.

It's a load of shite because Lucas by virtue of being a specialist DM fits better into the Brazil system whereas Anderson isn't either a specialist DM or attacking midfielder (anymore). And that's not mentioning injury problems too or even the fact that having the likes of Lucas starting for Brazil is one of the reasons why Brazil has turned to horsecrap in the last few years. Furthermore, using that same garbage logic, Ferdinand has pissed all over Carragher for the last ten years, yet none of them will acknowledge that.

I'm going to go on RAWK with my old account and start talking some hard truths at some point when I can be bothered.

The goal v Man Utd was like this. A falling Suarez still managed to poke out a dying leg to beat Van der Sar’s lung. That dying leg was the football equivalent of the blow that Muhammed Ali lay on Sonny Liston. It shouldn’t have happened. It came in ‘down time’ when the ‘real move’ had (apparently) ended. But with Suarez these deadly afterthoughts happen all the time. In the Copa America, recently, I saw him dribbling with his knee while his shin was stroking the turf. Anything to keep that ball moving and to give him the traction to get on his feet again.

Individually, though there’s no doubt that these are four of the best forwards in the League.

Carroll being among the four best forwards in the league individually... jesus fecking christ. Agüero, Van Persie, Dzeko, Tévez - you took one hell of a beating from that lanky cnut.

By the way, if Carroll is among the best four, how come he gets a seven while Berbatov gets a nine? And how N'Gog is also a seven?

Lucas 9-6 Carrick
Carragher 8 :lol::lol::lol:

Transfer window - a conclusion

Here they are, gloating over Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea trying to buy players in the last 48 hours of the transfer window.

It includes such classics as:

There has been a lot of general 'sneering' at our transfer policy. 'You have overpaid for mediocre talent etc' 'distorted the transfer market'. With two days to go, I see Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal scrambling around trying to get whatever. And I am enjoying it.

Spurs were offered around £30m for Modric three weeks ago, by holding out for £40m they will end up spending it on the last day and over-paying in a desperate rush - utterly negating any extra cash. When you consider how much we've paid and what we've got, we have spent very wisely. We've spent around £110m on Suarez, Carroll, Coates, Adam, Downing, Henderson, Enrique and Doni.

There is no step-up from playing from Liverpool.

Thing is though, as eye-watering a fee as it was, even if Carroll did fail at the end of the day that would still be an awesomely successful series of transfers. I mean, we've spent, what, £150million since January? For only £35million of that to go down the toilet (if that happened) would still mean over 75% 'success' which would be awesome given that 50/50 is about par for the course in terms of transfers.

We have a squad that has depth, has talent, and will finish in the top 4 without a doubt. Enough said.

But to say more... on any day we can defeat the $$$ at Man City and Chelsea and the Flair at Man Utd.

Poor Scousers.

Seven points in three matches and they're sure they'll finish in the top four.

Ok, I don't have any problem with that...

I'll be laughing even more in March and April and May.

To be fair, they do have a decent squad and if they don't finish top 4 I would regard that as a massive failure, especially given the state of Spurs and Arsenal. United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool. They should make the top 4 by default.

So, and here’s the big reveal, our true, as near-as-dammit, estimated crudely, yet probably not miles out, best approximation for net spend by LFC this summer is…….wait for it…….(drum roll) …. minus £1m.

LIVERPOOL HAVE MADE A PROIT, YOU IDIOTS!!!

I know, man. 3 players who were in the championship not too long ago (for about £48m), a back-up keeper, a kid from Sunderland who wasn't even their best player, a decent winger and two Uruguyans, one of whom is world class.

"To you, Liverpool, I will do a good deal! You give me £110 meeleeon and I give you very good players! You easily get top 4 spot this season, yes?"

That article is pure fantasy. Liverpools wage bill last year (depending on where you read it) was around 120-140 million. It can only have grown since January with all the additions to the squad they have made.

The Torres/Babel for Suarez/Carrol cant be much better than a swap.

For the outgoings Aquilani is in the same situation as last year but with a reduced optional transfer fee. Jovanovich must have cost them cash to ship back to Belgium. Joe Cole is going nowhere - I think QPR are offering to pay 1/3 of his wages on a 1 year loan, then they get to try it again with a 30-year old next year.

Paul Konchesky, David Ngog, Nabil El Zahr, Danny Pacheco, Ayala, Philip Degen, Christian Poulsen, Brad Jones - they might get a few quid for the lot but are likely to have to send money with them in order to offset their wages.

So does RAWKite ever get to mention Veron as a shit transfer again because we got Van Nistelrooy at the same time and Ferdinand within 12 months, meaning veron was only 30 mil out of 80 spent?

No RAWKite ever gets to mention crop summer of Djemba Djemba, Bellion, Miller and Ronaldo because Ronaldo was 12 million which was more than the others combined (and therefore >50%)?>

We have a squad that has depth, has talent, and will finish in the top 4 without a doubt. Enough said.

To say this must have been a bitter pill to swallow

The Great Net Spend Rope Trick (And More Moneyballs)

Oh, shit! This was on page 2. Another NET SPEND masterpiece!

(including players they haven't even sold yet)

So if you consider wages saved but ignore losing net 5 players from the squad, start including players they haven't sold yet, use a huge one-off transfer fee to distort things and then divide the still significant transfer deficit by 5, then they just about made a net profit.

As a foreign lad, I was just told that the two most popular TV channels in England are: Man Utd TV and the Liverpool History Channel. Any truth to this, fellow local Caftards? Just thought I'd ask....

Despite not being from UK myself, I can tell that it sounds bullshit.

One whole million pounds (give or take a million or two)in credit. That’s the real likely ‘price’ of what in actuality will have been a nigh-on revolutionary turning over of the Liverpool squad.
