RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Been saying that about the Chavs for years & it hasn't happened yet.

Abramovich has been a football fan for life though, not so sure if the Sheikh has liked the sport or just sees it as yet another toy he can parade about. It's all material to the Middle East royals. They build indoor ski resorts for fecks sake. When someone has that much money they get bored and keep looking for new toys. He'll spend to make City the behemoth of football and then might scale back his investment like Abramovich has. Or he could very well get bored of football after City win multiple trophies and then invest in another sport. He could literally buy the Kansas City Royals and they would be competing for the World Series within two-three years (if he has any desire to take another sporting club from obscurity to dominance).

Liverpool fans are more concerned with us not winning the title than they are finishing behind Everton after spending £100m more

Yep, I've had 9 texts already from scouse mates laughing at Utd. Wouldn't suprise me if they released a PL review DVD gloating about us failing to win the title. Obsessed tramps.

I just don't get it, I don't care about anything we can't win. Didn't even watch the FA Cup.

my local is teeming with " city fans ".... in Liverpool shirts..
it was the same last year when we played barca in the CL final...

they are laughed at really, at least we were there or there abouts with a young side and the chance of wining it, they are as far away as they have ever been.... long may it last.

yeah for teams that dislike us so much then why are they so obsessed with us? They would rather see United lose more than their own team win??? all this means is that they are not really football fans at all. I have a friend who is like this, he used to be a Leeds fan and we lost touch when he moved away, anyway he gets divorced and turns up back on the scene as the worlds biggest Arsenal fan!!!!! Now a few years later he still gets more excited about United losing than whichever team he supports winning. I strongly suspect this is the same case with most on RAWK and whichever fans see us losing as some kind of wierd trophy for themselves. They are not really football fans at all and I shall bet that most have never been to a football match.

6 home wins all season.

Lowest amount of goals for 21 years.

Lowest points total for 31 years (when it was 2 points for a win).

Lowest league finish for 19 years.

and the pièce de résistance

.
£20 million on Stewart Downing.

Dalglish:

"For us, we wouldn't be disappointed with anybody's performance or their efforts. I think they did as well as they possibly could and were unlucky not to get a result. It's a credit to the players"

But they finish the season on a happy note because City won the league! Ah what is it like to bask in the glory of another club.

I love all the 'one full season' crap they harp on about. When was Kenny appointed again, RAWK? He has had over a season to stamp his mark on things.

This is from my mate's twitter feed:
Liverpool FC Have Disappointed Me Massively This Season, Atleast One Team Have Kept Me Happy This Year! Liverpool Football Club & Manchester City Football Club <3

:wenger::wenger:

I can't believe the text message I have received off a Kopite work colleague. Mind you, i should expect this kind of stuff from that scum.

One of my mates whose been a Liverpool fan since he moved
to the country changed his profile picture to him wearing a City shirt half way through the season.

They really are a club going nowhere fast.
Spent 140mil on players since KKK took over for big money and on big wages. A lot of damage has been done. They havent a hope of top4 next season without another major spend. No way their new owners would have thought that. Granted they knew top 4 was far from certain but they could never have expected to be this much off the pace. They are even behind Everton.

Even their best players-Renia,Agger,Gerrard,Suarez have big question marks over them. Renia has been rubbish all year, Gerrard looks well past his best,Suarez is a liability and not clinical enough and Agger while decent this year is always injury prone. Struggling to think of another player you could actually even consider to rate. Maybe Enrique,Skrtel,Lucas? For me decent but nothing to mavel at.

Have that, you 8th place cnuts!

I can see Liverpool selling City a few of their titles to give them a bit of history sometime soon

Not a good finish for LFC. But will take solace in united getting the rug pulled out when it
was so close to being their title. Also taking solace in Giggs and Sholes finally retiring, fergie getting closer to retiring and having shit kits.

Let's be honest, you'd give your right testicle just to be involved in a title race going into the last day.

Instead you're dealing with the fallout from the worst Liverpool season in living memory, with a team packed full of average players, a racist piece of shit for a 'star' player, and an out of touch clueless manager stuck in a time warp. You've disgraced yourselves on and off the pitch.

United embrace challenges and use defeat as a springboard for success. Whilst we'll be plotting another title victory next season, Liverpool are staring down the barrel at a long hard season scrapping in the Europa League (including qualifying rounds) and with an increasingly strong pack above you in the league. You might cheer City, but their rise has essentially relegated your team from being a perrenial top four CL side to a team who will struggle to be at football's top plate for years to come.

And shit kits? Is that the best you can do? I suppose in the absence of any on-pitch glory, things like replica jerseys are important to non-fans like you. But maybe if you'd half an idea about your own club you'd know that your own kit has alienated an entire group of Hillsborough families - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18033752 - give me a naff checked pattern over shitting on grieving families any day.

RAWK end of season review.

Good
- carling cup champions
- FA Cup finalists
- the stability the owners seem to be bringing to the club (a lot is yet to be seen, but it looks like from an ownership standpoint we seem to be going in the right direction)
- the improvement of andy carroll (not top drawer, but there was a massive improvement in his attitude, his physicality, and his all around play)- the agger/skrtel partnership
- sterling getting his debut and some game time
- shelvey getting game time

He's scored 4 league goals in 35 games.

But Enrique is the best LB in the league. Skrtel is definitely the best and meanest defender and you're kidding yourself if you don't think a fit Lucas wouldn't have brought them the title this season. Clearly you, like the rest of us (the non-Liverpool supporting world) never got the memo.

But they had injuries, suspensions, tiredness, the woodwork and shit reffing to deal with all season!!!!!!!!

Kenny has only had his 'first full season' back and not enough support in the market. With great deals like Carrol for -£15 million he's sure to dominate the market again and continue the progress. He even got them into Europe on 'the first time of asking.'

If Cardiff would have scored 1 more penalty in a penalty shoot out, they wouldn't have gotten into Europe this year. That's how bad their season has been.

Dalglish (deliberately) talks about getting a place in the Europa League like it's some kind of seperate achievement from the Carling Cup win, when everyone knows that a CC victory guarantees an EL place. It's like saying "I won the boxing match - and I didn't lose too! Go me!"

^

Don't forget the Hodgeson-esque post match comments. In fact he's even worse since he reels out the same ridiculous excuses over and over again.

'Maybe the game on Tuesday took something out of them.'

FFS. Woe betide next season if the 'fittest squad in the League' has to compete on another front.

Just read plechs bible verse again to cheer me up in the wake of all the liverpools fans messages I was getting. Would love to see it updated to reflect their season

The irony is amazing, slamming your rivals for finishing second on goal difference when your own team finishes 8th and 37 points behind.

And how they can still stick by Dalglish is beyond me, he's probably the worst manager in the league after McLeish and Connor.
