All this Henderson love in, is he actually any good?
He's like Sweinsteiger if he suffered a massive embolism.
The few times i have seen him for England U21 he has been ok. But that might be due to the poorer opposition that he was against. He's been shit for Liverpool though and if i'm right in saying he was pretty poor at Sunderland in his last season there.
That's what you would normally say, right? But with this lot, you simply don't know.
This is the one thing that has consistently baffled me this season.
The amount of Liverpool fans who are happy to see City up there and beating us. Almost frolicking through the filth of their wins over us and taking them as their own.
City has spent half a billion pounds and basically pushed the top4 aside to be a permanent fixture and it is Liverpool that has been hurt the most through this.
I just don't get it. Their own inept shiteness contributes to their demise but the underlying factor that a team they are happy to see overtake us is a team who won the financial ownership lottery and bought every player in their entire squad... It just baffles me. For all their constant bleating about their history and stature as a club they unite under the banner of ABU and support a total plastic club to glory.

Logic falters with the dippers but the closest thing I can think of is that if City can take us out of the equation it somehow makes things easier for them. Reguardless of the fact they still have to play both Manchester clubs at least twice a year and are almost guaranteed to lose half of those matches. It really is a case of cutting off your nose to spite your face but, just like they have accepted their fall into medium sized club status, they seem to be fine with accepting that.

I think it's more a case of them thinking that it's their god-given right to start winning league titles again some day soon. And in the whole "most successful and bestest club ever" race, we are their only real rivals. It's easier to overtake us if we stay at 19 league titles, as compared to 20. At this time, they're probably choosing to ignore the fact that when these other teams start building up very strong squads, it also obviously means the chances of them winning their next title is also diminishing.

What bemuses me is that under Rafa they were absolutely awful in the league bar one season. Roy Hodgson was made scapegoat after Rafa left and now Kenny's just carried that awful form in a much worse position that they're not really bothered about the league any more.
They used to talk about winning it every season but I think even they've realised that they're no where close to reaching 4th let along sticking it out for the title.

I love it when they get into their annual frenzy of optimism. One of the many important factors they forget to put into their fanciful projections is that all the other teams will be buying new players, not sitting in a state of off season paralysis while KK and his merry mob run amok in the transfer market.
Just buy a whole new fecking squad already.
