RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

I bet if you told them we'd drop points today, but at the cost of them losing, some of their fans would happily have taken it.

Mid-table side equals a lot less anxiety for us the fans. Enjoy while it lasts, because good times, can soon feck this relative calmness up.

IT'S ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would someone please put a new tape in the VCR? I've seen this one already. A lot.

Typical Dipper, living in the past - won't even buy a Bluray player.

Pleased for Hodgson after the way he was treated.

What kind of reception did he get before the game?

For sure. He is spoken about on loonbag terms over there.

The fans will never admit they are a mid table club. That is what they need to do - the fans expectations are part of the problem. That and buying in nearly 100m worth of total dross.

RAWK on Ronaldo

Wish we had a player who can score 50 goals a season
And this was the response
Why. They are only penalties and tap ins
response
Wish we had a player that could score tap ins and penalties

fecking clueless bitter spastics. I cant actually remember the last time Ronaldo scored for Real and it wasn't from a million miles out.

Lol maybe he means they are creating tap ins that they never score and they missed a penno... ?

Hahahah - It would have worked out. Considering they couldn't score at a brothel with pants made of hundred dollar bills.

Plus they missed that GOD awful penalty when Kuyt scraped the follow up wide with 3 players bearing down on it..

Trust Liverpool to come to my aid last night. Watching MOTD2, feeling pretty fecking low, and then the third game of the day came on, which somehow I didnt know the score of, and all of a sudden there was something - just a little thing - to smile about.

I do hope Chelsea stuff them in the cup final.

There's now two camps at RAWK. One camp really wants a top 4 finish and the other camp (the majority) now refer to a Top 4 finish as "Winning the 4th place losers medal". Yet they then contradict themselves by saying that Kenny is "building something for the future".

The future is going to be pretty feckin bleak if you don't get CL money year-out, year-out, la. And MSG (or whatever they're called) won't be getting hard over a Carling Cup win - they demand Champions League football because that's how the big clubs roll.

Andy and co. don't actually know what they're saying. They've been back-peddling and making excuse after excuse, but things haven't changed so they keep changing their tune. Now they've got nowhere else to turn to bar that pathetic, hilarious and simply ridiculous argument they're spouting. It's brilliant.

Apparently they were 'brilliant' against WBA last night. Brilliant. Losing at home to West-fecking-Bromwich Albion at home no less equals brilliant these days.

Edit: at least a fair few of them are taking the piss out of A@A now. He's running out of ideas.

The weirdest thing is that at the beginning of this disastrous run (I mean this season not the early 90's), there was some discontent brewing and annoyance of points dropped over at RAWK. But gradually as the results have got worse, as they have slipped further down the table and as the laughter from the rest of the country has grown louder, many have begun to convince themselves that the team is getting better, the quality of football is improving and the management is becoming more astute.

It's got to the stage where they are heaping ever greater praise upon the team, for every loss they experience. The blame has shifted from Carrol, Adams Gerrard, to luck (their new favourite word), 'curses' put on the club and the woodwork.

a poster asks
what will our aims be for next season in terms of the league.

and Andy does not disappoint

I think we should be going for the title. If we play as we've played this season and actually finished a reasonable amount of our chances then we'd be way up the table and challenging strongly.

The work rate is there, the chances are there, the defence is looking good, we have players coming back like Lucas and a hopefully fitter next season Gerrard and Agger and we have some young lads champing at the bit to be involved. A couple of shrewd signings in the summer and I'd be disappointed if the goal wasn't to win the league. A massive ask you might say - but one we should be aspiring to. The difference this season between coming away losers or drawing compared to the chances we had mean that we have a very clear goal - keep things roughly where they are and just have an average conversion rate.

:lol::lol: Next year is their year guys. Oh Noesssssss!

On Henderson again:

Paul Scholes, Andrea Pirlo, Xavi, Alonso, Bastian Schweinstiger, Lucas Leiva, Ever Banega.
Yes, these are the type of players teams are built around. Highly technical, patient midfielders.
Henderson may not be as good as any of these players yet (and I wouldn't say he is), but he has shown he has the potential to be so. I agree there are occasions where he should play the expansionist ball, but most of the players mentioned didn't master their decision making until 25+.

erm¿

Lucas and to an extent Banega have no business being on a list with the likes of Scholes, Pirlo and Xavi.
