RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Roy also had those dastardly cancers to deal with and that snake Purslow. Plus, he wasnt given enough money and was forced to buy shite.

It's fun using RAWK's excuses for Rafa to defend Roy.

Heh, The "I like the fact you underestimate Arsenal this season" thread never stops making me laugh.

After the 8-2 win:

Should have sacked him after last season, oh well, have fun battling it out with Fulham for 8th.

You're fecking crazy. 8th? Seriously, 8th?

8th?!

Fulham will never finish 8th

Someone then says:
I think Arsenal will bounce back from this and will eventually have a good season

to which they reply
Dont worry, I'll remember to come back and say neh neh you were wrong, when they crash out the CL and we finish above them in the CL places.

Reina Szczesny
Johnson Sagna
Carragher Mertesacker
Agger Vermaelan
Enrique Santos
Lucas Song
Adam Wilshere
Gerrard Arteta
Downing Gervinho
Henderson Benayoun
Suarez RVP

I think we're stronger all over the park tbh.

We've also got more strength in depth with Kuyt, Carroll, Kelly, Skrtel, Maxi, Bellamy to come in, compared to their Ramsey, Arshavin, Park, Koscielny, Diaby, Chamakh.

Europa League football next season for Arsenal.

Squad short on true quality and high on crocks. It wont be long until Yossi, Arteta, Van Persie, Rosicky, Walcott, Gibbs and Vermarlean get their bi monthly injuries and then before they know it Gervinho and Song will be jetting off for 6 weeks in Africa.

Not at all worried about them.

An Arsenal fan said to me earlier he thinks Liverpool will fade toward the end of the season. An Arsenal fan!

Arsenal fan on forum:

"4th.

We have a much better squad than Liverpool now."

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

They won't get near 4th, half of their squad fecks off to the ANC in January for a month

I then say Arsenal have a better first 11 than Liverpool...

That's what happens when brothers and sisters marry each other..

Arsenal really, really, really don't have a better starting XI than us. Not a chance.

What the hell has this got to do with Arsene and the pressure he's under? It's about your bollocks statement that despite losing their two best players Arsenal have a better first team than us, after our summer reinforcements.

Reina > Schchchchezny
Johnson > Sanga
Carragher > Mertesacker
Agger > Vermalean (If he stays fit)
Enrique > Santos
Lucas > Song
Adam <> Wilshere (Yet to be seen how good either of them really are consistently, especially Wilshere now Fabregas and Nasri are gone)
Gerrard > Arteta
Suarez > Gervinho
Downing > Walcott
Van Persie > Carroll

Lucas is a cut above Song, keeps the play ticking over in a way Song can't even approach. Van Persie might be class but Suarez is definitely as good if not better, and gets injured far less.

Love it.

They should enjoy those Arsenal comparisons while they last. In the next couple of seasons they will dream about the days when they compared themselves to such accomplished teams. It will be: "Stoke really, really, really don't have a better starting XI than us. Not a chance." And, "Lucas is a cut above Diao, keeps the play ticking over in a way Diao can't even approach. Crouch might be class but Suarez is definitely as good if not better, and is far less likely to be seen around the place with a black person."

I can give them every other comparison they have. since as a fan you like your players who have contributed to their team, but

"Johnson > Sagna"

Johnson is shite.

Tbh looking at those comparisons , they are not really that far off on paper.

Except the Adam- Wilshere , Sagna- Johnson, and 1 more.

Song and Lucas is a bit difficult as for them he has been good this season and fans do tend to favour their own players.

Downing's not better than Walcott, and unless that list is done with the better players first rather than a "team" match up, he seems to have sneakily put RvP on the Liverpool side to make it scan better.

"Van Persie might be class but Suarez is definitely as good if not better, and gets injured far less"

that's great... RVP has 26 goals... Suarez has 8 (which might I add is 1 more than Berba).

Only @ RAWK is 26 < 8

I know who I'd rather have in my team.

Finally, new fanfiction from RAWK!

The theme? 'Beating Everton in the FA Cup semi through bad refereeing!' The dream of having controversial decisions go their way, and even rumours of an FA/Liverpool conspiracy! A riveting read --

Billy The Kid@RAWK said:
The ideal scenario would be to score the winner in the 94th minute, from a throw in that blatantly should have been Evertons. Flanno throws it quickly to an unsuspecting Gerrard who has to use the inside of his elbow to control it. Handball !!!! echoes around Wembley. Gerrard plays on and slips it through to Suarez who beats Hibbert to it by tugging his shirt back. Bitters in the front row stand up berating the ref for not giving them a free out. Suarez pokes it through to Carroll who's a good yard off side in the box, all the Everton defenders raise their hands looking for the flag, but the flag stays down. Andy tries to control it, then thinks about diving, then controls it again as Howard comes steaming towards him Andy dinks it over him.

Just before the ball crosses the line Hibbert clears it but the silly bollocks lines man puts his flag up to award a goal. Ref points to the center circle. Everton players storm around him, blues everywhere in the stadium foaming at the mouth in uncontrollable anger, Gollum kicking water bottles on the sideline as Kenny goes mental. Everton kick off, ref blows for full time, que the loudest version of YAWN you've ever heard. Gollum demands that the FA award Everton a replay in his post game press conference. Blues phoning talkshite protesting a conspiracy between Liverpool and the FA. Make the feckers irate to the point that they're fecking eyes pop. Then smash Chelsea in the final

It's amusing how they talk about Everton as the bitter, jealous, paranoid, angry, dribbling, whiny ones. Projection at its finest.

Would be the end of the world if Suarez and Dalglish leave at the end of the season. They can't blame the owners this time around too, considering they were the white knights not too long ago.

Kenny won't leave. His hands will have to be crowbarred off the door frame as the try and get him into the ambulance.

Roy Hodgson paid the price for the way he talked, not just results. And the truth is he overdid it - his uber-humble tone sounded really weak and was just embarrassing for a big club.

Nevertheless, there was an underlying wisdom to what he was trying to do. Liverpool's problems, IMO, stem in part from mismanagement at board level but in part from their fans. The ridiculous, unrealistic expectation levels are just corroding their club. It ruins good players, makes decent sides perform badly.

Hogson rightly decided the first thing he needed to do was calm them the feck down, get them to lower their expectations and build slowly back to winning ways. He played it badly as I said, but you can see what happens when they go the opposite way - get a manager in who is basically one of their mental fans, with all the delusions of grandeur, bitterness and constantly injured pride that goes along with it.

Very interesting post.

I always thought Roy's problem was that due to his career history he carried a bit of 'small club' mentality to Liverpool. He couldn't adjust to the higher expectations of a club like Pool.

Your idea that his umble patter was part of a deliberate strategy to instill greater realism in the club and the fans is pretty original. If it was a calculated ploy though he clearly went too far. No way Pool fans were going to swallow being told that a home draw against some lower half team was an acceptable result.

How is a table that is an indicator of form pointless?

What is the better result? A draw at a place everyone gets beaten or a home win over a team that is useless away from home? I'd say the first. Probably anyone would. The form table wouldn't.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Draw > Win.

Its quite sad reading the Scousers posts. They really have become very delusional and desperate.

What blows my mind is that Scousers genuinely think that they have been playing some of the best football in the league.

Mad. Just finished the comparative results thread. It took them till March to realise what was happening. Most if the year it was 70 70 70......now, they're starting to realise that 50 may not be reached . 1954 is the last year they've been this low.

I bet he wouldn't have worn a Suarez t shirt though

I'm not one for going on RAWK, I just like reading the madness in this thread but I'm just checking it now and they are all buzzing off Henderson's performance tonight. Admittedly I was only half-watching the first half but watched the second and I thought he was a bit shite, I recall laughing at him more more than a few times.
