RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Can we seriously say that the players of Swansea, Newcastle, even M. Utd are of a better quality than us overall.
Speaking about the Mancs, you'd be hard pressed to make a case for them having more quality than us
They really aren't that good, not that much better than our team anyway. In each of the last four seasons, we've beaten them at least once.

So how far do you think they have to sink before reality kicks in?

Alastair 'supported Arsenal' too. Haven't seen Sam G for a while either

I still do, in fairness. We got a cracking win last night that hasn't got a peep on this forum yet.

Seems to me that anyone who defends Liverpool in the slightest against unfair criticism is labelled a Liverpool supporter by some retards.

That said, the criticism they've received this year is on the whole just.

Not really. But if people go from thread to thread defending Liverpool as if they've been personally slighted it will attract a little stick.

ahh

how are you Al..long time no see.

I will admit your part time team is entertaining ;)

...unlike your 'first' team :D

I'm doing great - I took a bit of a break from the Caf to concentrate on watching my team flounder.

Liverpool are a way off being a good side. It's one poor decision after another at that club.

Good to know you are ok mate.

Wenger will sort out Arsenal next season.

Liverpool? As long as Dalglish is there... they are buggered. His lack of professionalism is astounding. As much as I despise Liverpool, I do have a health respect for their legacy and a fondness for Shankly and Paisley. They were the type of managers, whose love for the game came through everything they did.

We will never see the likes of them and Fergie again imo. Dalglish is destroying the club's legacy by keeping the likes of Suarez.

For both these clubs, to overcome the likes of City and Chelsea, albight their temporary faltering this season, they will need large influx of funds. So the title is ways away.

I fear even for us, after Fergie...Maurinho or not, we will struggle to compete with cray money...

Atm, we are doing things the right way, investing in youth, buying one or two good players...and keeping theexcellent ones.

Unless long term solutions are put in place by the governing bodies, I fear for the game.

Winning football matches, wins fans. It's the reason Arsenal and Spurs are so popular despite limited success. Every year, they still have a reasonable chance at the title. Liverpool on the other hand have had one in 20 years, and they're now at the point where they will be over taken by lower league clubs if they don't drastically rebuild the squad.

Steven Gerrard and Suarez are perhaps the only players keeping them out of a relegation battle. That's how shit they are at times.

But but but they've hit the post 1087 times and King Kenny won the title with Blackburn as manager in 1995, he needs time, lots of time, NEXT YEAR, NEXT YEAR! YAWN!!!!!!!11111111111

Wouldn't it be Rawk's ideal partnership as they idolise both?

to get into the hearts of their supporters, you have to buy into their 'victims' mentality.

Its everyone else's fault...except what is wrong with their manager, players, tactics...

If you want a backward looking club...look at them.

....and both these managers share one characteristic.

They Hide...

I think forum is not the place for you, if you can't take a different opinion.

If you want to hear just another biased opinion, why don't you talk to a mirror or something?

When the opinion is based in ridiculousness, then it's trolling. To say Dalglish is doing a good job is complete nonsense. To do it on a United board, is to do so simply to rile people up.

Hence, you being a troll.

You are the only other person on this board who is also a Liverpool troll, so of course you back him.

There are plenty of people who occasionally make good points about Liverpool. You are always accused of being a liverpool supporter for a reason.

Trionz pictured earlier (but I bet his missus isn't as filthy as this chap's) ..... ;)

Rafa in partnership with KD would be great

Rafa's vision with Kenneth's man motivation skills would be a formidable team. Together with their shrewd signings and tactical nous (e.g. 5-4-1 vs Stoke at Anfield) I reckon they could march comfortably towards that coveted fourth place position.

So how far do you think they have to sink before reality kicks in?

It use to be a case of maybe two or three players. Alonso, Gerrard and Torres, now it's maybe Gerrard at a stretch. The fact that 4 of our strikers have scored as many or more than suarez in league total this season, and that our wingers are getting close, shows just how far down they are.

That goes with the quote in the other Pool thread where "as a Liverpool fan, there is arguably nothing sweeter than seeing Man United deprived of trophies."

Sad, small time and shit awful mentality.

So how far do you think they have to sink before reality kicks in?

Strikers: Suarez, Bellamy, Carroll v Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez, Berbatov

We win so hard it isn't even funny

Wingers: Downing, Kuyt, Maxi v Nani, Valencia, Young, Park

Central Midfield: Gerrard, Lucas, Spearing, Adam, Henderson v Scholes, Giggs, Carrick, Fletcher, Cleverley, Anderson

Closer run battle. I'd say we win but I can understand why scousers would argue otherwise (mainly because they're delusional).

Central defence: Agger, Skrtel, Carragher, Coates v Vidic, Rio, Evans, Smalling, Jones

This is a win for us. Moving right the feck along

Fullbacks: Enrique, Johnson, Kelly, Robinson, Flanagan v Evra, Rafael, Fabio

Evens.

Keeper: Reina, Doni, Brad Jones v De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos

Reina is better than De Gea right now but I can't assess the rest because Doni hasn't played a single minute since he got there (am I right in saying he was the guy in goals when we destroyed Roma 7-1?)

We win in each position hands down. CM isn't even close, throw potential into the mix along with current ability and we're miles ahead. I wouldn't say FB is even either with Evra arguably being one of the best in the world, and we have Jones and Smalling available there too (again throw potential in and we're leaps and bounds ahead). Keepers is the only close one. They probably edge it but we have the better second choice which can be important.

I wish we'd prove how much better we are when we play them though

Their keeper (starting) is better. And their full backs are slightly better, for mine.

It is important that we finish 8th or better. We got promoted to the first division in 1961/2 and came 8th and we have come 8th or better ever since. This year his our 50th anniversary of that fact- a record that easily surpasses every other team in the League. It would be a shame to spoil that glorious record by thinking that the remaining matches dont matter much.
How the mighty have fallen.

Full backs better?

What the feck?

Enrique is steady but I know who I'd rather have on the left and Kelly is ok but nothing special.

Second you have to take into account depth which they don't have.

Their goalkeeper is better (currently) and central midfield is debateable.

50th anniversary of staying in 8th or higher!

Next year it'll be "Been in the top half of the league ever since 61/62!

Year after: "Lots of years in the highest division!"

Etc..

Don't worry there's a Pool player in the Sky Sports goal of the week, that'll give them something to celebrate.

first to 18 titles...

Enrique has been better than Evra this season... Raphael has been up and down and his brother isn't playing. Personally I think theirs have been (a little) better this season.

I'm not sure who it is but there's some journalist-type guy who has listed hundreds of Liverpool's tenuous achievements. Things like '3rd best away record in the last 4.5 years' andd 'most 2-2 draws in the Full Member's Cup quarter Finals'. It borders on insane but it is actually not a parody

That was probably pretend journalist and chief shit up hill pusher Paul Tomkins.

I remember the piece you were talking about, it had shit like 'first Liverpool side in 18 years to be 2nd at the start of May' and other stupid shit.
