RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Perhaps he's saying that us northerners aren't overly fussed about England?

I can't fathom their attachment to Rafa, I just don't understand it. Two cups in five(?) years isn't good for the amount he spent. He brought Torres to Liverpool, won the UCL out of nowhere, won the FA Cup and challenged for the league once, in a season where their biggest rivals equalled their title record. I just do not understand. I'd love to ask them.

Every other team in the league is ALWAYS shite/always gets help from refs. Anyone who dare draw or beat Liverpool get the "I hope you get fecking relegated you useless cnuts" treatment. And that's quite a LOT of teams this season

Yet their own team, on paper, are ALWAYS superior to everyone else in their own little heads.

Yet they sit SEVENTH in the league with NEWCASTLE fecking UNITED above them, even after spending £100,000,000 on players.

They've become a parody of themselves over there. They really don't realise that they've got a piss poor squad of player, a manager who doesn't know what he's doing and absolutely no chance of contending for the league anytime soon.

Years and years of being a mediocre team has really effect the likes of Andy@Allerton and the older fans especially. They find it so difficult to accept that they're such a dross side these days.

They have the cheek to say that teams like Chelsea and Arsenal are shite when they sit ABOVE them in the league.

Deluded bunch of loons - RAWK is hilarious, year-in, year-out.

I still remember their thread about Charlie Adam at the beginning of the season, saying something along the lines that he could become their Andrea Pirlo.

You couldn't make the shit up that they come out with.

When Newcastle fans have a more realistic outlook on how good they are and where their team should end up then Liverpool, you know they're fecked in the head.

Yossi winning a trophy with Benitez in charge might still be a possibilty come next season (though a very unlikely one)

I love that the basic summary of that story is 'we all thought we'd won the league when Benayoun scored late on against Fulham... but then United actually won it'

Put succinctly, they thing the win against Fulham gave them the League, AND THEN...

What can you say to that? Incredible, even by their standards.

Everytime I see that video of them singing they're going to win the league at Fulham, I piss myself.

I would have loved to see the faces of every Liverpool fan when Villa went 2-1 up at Old Trafford the following day. Imagine how giddy they would have been?

Then a spotty kid with a slightly gay hair cut destroyed all their pathetic little dreams in the 93rd minute. fecking beautiful.

Its fecking idiotic. How can it be a 'great Liverpool moment' if they won feck all? Just because they thought they did for a while? FFS. How ridiculous can they get? Christ.

So next season when Fulham or some team is leading the table after the 1st round of games, would that be a great Fulham moment? 'They thought they won the league for a week'?

Jesus effing Christ, the more I think about this, the more I want to slap all the mothers over on merseyside.

Did you read their thread on that match? There's alot of sneer and wtf is he laughter when he came on. There's a post that's trying to be sarcastic "Ferguson showed his genius, put on a 17 years old on a must win game"

That thread turns hilarious when he scored the winner

That's fecking pathetic.

It says a hell of a lot about where they are right now, when their fans can take some kind of comfort from that post.

How sweet was Rooney's euqalizer at Wembley last May. For a second we won the CL there...

For a second? Whole half-time Ferguson and players spent drinking champagne and singing before the match official came out and said there's still 45 minutes to play... That was downer for everyone for a few second but it really didn't matter at the end, we won at half time by drawing with them, their victory at the end means nothing to me tbf. We won it 4 times!

I wanted that elusive number 19 league title since 1990. I went through Kenny’s departure and Arsenal trumping us the next season, Souness’ destruction of the Liverpool Way, Evans’ revival of pass and move, Houllier’s French revolution and Rafa’s Groove armada.

his was Rafa’s 5th season. He’d built a strong team with a spine to rival any side’s in the world. One of the best keepers in the game, Carragher still at a high level in defence, the imperious Xabi Alonso at his peak alongside the monster Mascherano in midfield, Steven Gerrard, the best Liverpool player for 20 years, playing the highest level of his career, off one of the most feared strikers in the world, Fernando Torres.

Around them you had strong players like Daniel Agger, Sami Hyypia, Alvaro Arbeloa, Dirk Kuyt, Albert Riera and the mercurial Yossi Benayoun. Youngsters like Lucas and Ryan Babel were also there, as were players like Fabio Aurelio and Martin Skrtel.

The squad wasn’t the best in the world but the first 11 was comfortably in the top 3 of Europe.

It was now the 91st minutes. Babel had the ball on the edge of the area. Time for one last chance. Shoot Ryan! Instead he passes to Gerrard. A rebound off the legs of the defender finds Benayoun inside the box. He’s too wide to shoot. But suddenly he launches a rocket of a right foot shot.

Towards the far post this time.

Time stops.

The ball’s travelling.

The net shakes.

It’s in.

Cue delirium. Cue joy. Cue ecstasy. Cue absolute pandemonium.

what was the point of that

i enjyed these bits

Masheda <<<<<<<<WHO THE feck ARE YOU -
Their comments about Nani are interesting, wonder how they feel now knowing Downing has cost the same (if not more):

sub for mancs, nani is coming off the twat, what a waste of £17m after how much they talk about Keane what about this shit?

Nani is a fecking waste of 17M..
And finally:

You look at their team, and it's impossible to see them finishing in the top 5 without officials on their side - I haven't seen them all, of course, but I'm not convinced they'd be in the top half of the table this season without the refs as they are. I'd have to examine footage of various games to get some sort of idea.

That just hammers home to me the greatest myth of that title race, that we choked when it was ours to win. The fact is the mancs were absolutely outstanding.

They lost only 4 games (2 of which were against us)
They drew only 6 games
They won 11 games on the trot before the famous 4-1
They dropped 7 points at home all season

We were superb that season, but sadly for us they were slightly better

I like this quote the best. The main reason being that majority of United fans don't think that United side was a vintage one but it was still better than they best they had to offer.

Some of those match day threads are funny, but their comments reminds me of you lot. Some of our posters are constantly saying officials and pundits are bias against us they simply saying the exact same thing

Matchday threads are full of idiots and given we have such a large fanbase we will get our share of idiots for sure. But the difference is majority of the main posters on here don't think a manager is paying off a ref like RAWK does. We have our biases and red tinted spectacles but no one has seriously accused a ref of corruption in such a casual way as RAWK.

Agree with this I'm afraid. Our matchday threads are quite embarrassing when things aren't going United's way.

But this is the case on every football forum across the planet - supporters act like spackers when their team is playing.
