RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Rafa and that steward at Olympiakos.. home. December 04.

Rafa cross-legged at the penalty shoot out April 07.

Raf de-robing Mr.Ferguson at the press conference 09.

feck me.

No. Not even with a leper's dick.

Heard this the other day:

United brought back Scholes
Arsenal brought back Henry
Everton brought back Donovan
Liverpool brought back racism

He made us dream, he made us believe, he stood up for what was right when it was easier to say nothing, and he made us proud - that's why so many others misunderstood, feared and detested him.

And just to add, the best bit in the Rafa video for me, isn't any of the football, for me it was when the Steward felt compelled to just hug him, It just felt natural to him.

He made the people happy.

WE NEED A VOMIT SMILEY!!

feck me, those videos are making me teary and I'm not that kind of a person who slips a tear down easily. I fecking loved the man, his Spanish accent, his calmness, his composure, the way he always looked into his stop watch, his interviews, everything about him, I loved him.

He always had the club's best interests at heart, he always put the club first ahead of everyone, he put his career on the line and decided to expose the cancers instead of just being silent, taking his fat contract and putting his interest ahead of the club. The man got the club, and the fans knew he had the club's best interest at heart and that is why the opposition fans and the media always failed to see, they never got Liverpool Football club.

I honestly believe that we would have been the strongest club in the world, stronger than Barcelona, had we had better owners and gave Rafa the support he needed in the transfer market from the moment we lost to Milan in Athens. Unfortunately we had the cancers at the club and Rafa had to fight so many losing battles to keep the club afloat.

Fortunately, we now have a man who gets Liverpool FC more than anyone and who has the club's best interests at heart better than anyone, and hopefully when Kenny decides to hang his coaching boots, Rafa would then return to finish his unfinished business at Anfield.

Tell you what annoys me, (and even now I'm reading this thread and just waiting for it) and that's that I'm actually afraid to say how much I love Rafa Benitez and how much I'd love him to come back and manage this club again for fear of the inevitable post from someone that says "It's a bit disrespectful to Kenny".

No. No it isn't. It really fecking isn't.

Kenny Dalglish is, and always will be, THE biggest legend this club has ever produced, and to have him come back here and manage us when we needed something to lift us out of the despression and shite we had to stomach for years was incredible, and still is. I love him being our manager, of course I do. But in no way is it disrespectful to cling to the hope that one day, whenever that day may be, Rafa walks back through those gates, takes his seat in our dugout, puts his fecking specs on, gets out his little bit of paper, acknowledges the kop with a wave and a smile, and I have 5 wanks before the whistle even touches the ref's lips for the first time.

I love the man. I absolutely adore the man. And having him here as our manager again is so right I can't even begin to describe it. As Kris said in his article, I can't control myself around people who are stupid enough to think that his time here was a failure, or worse than that insult the man.

And none of that is an insult to Kenny. I love him to bits too. Hopefully he'll lead us to more glory, and hopefully he'll be here for a while to come. I'm in no rush for him to leave or for anyone to call time on his job here, it's only just begun. I just want, so badly, to see Rafa back here in the future. He deserves it more than anything. If you look up the phrase 'unfinished business' in a Thesaurus there should be a picture of Rafa Benitez by fecking default.

So, he's saying that before Dalglish showed up, there were years of depression and shite, i.e. Rafa Benitez led the club to depression and shite. Is he thinking that Hodgson was there for years?

He might burst out in tears if he understood the insult hidden in his love poem!

To be honest i always felt with Rafa leading them they could be a force, ie, there was always some potential for them to be up there and win the title again given time, patience and money. Even in Rafa's final season i thought that it was a one off and they'd be back challenging the season after...

With Kenny in charge I just don't feel they are a threat at all, like they will hover around 5-7 for years. Wasn't this the man who signed Stephan Gui'varch for Newcastle for relatively big money?

Well he's bettered that by signing Andy Carroll for Liverpool for even bigger money.

Who couldn't hero-worship this guy. Just look at him - he just oozes intelligence and wisdom

Agreed. Nobody finds their admiration for Benitez funny. After all, he brought them great success in cup competitions and nearly won the league for them. No, what we find funny is the demi-god status he has on RAWK, the pictures, the videos, the poetry, the fawning, the "he looked at me and we both knew"-type of shite you only get in Barbara Cartland novels and the bannings. Got to love the bannings. :)

No doubt they overrate him as a manager on RAWK, and scouse fans in general but he didn't do badly at Liverpool. And on current evidence he'd do a much better job than Dalglish, who they worship - so by Liverpool logic a man who can exceed the performance of the king himself must be worthy of respect and adoration.

His usual charming self in the interview too. Check the body language and dig at the reporter for not thinking Liverpool had a single chance in the game, Kenny disagrees and said they had one

Rafa-"Kenny you're doing a wonderful job but I'm here whenever you feel that your stint is over. That means that you can go when you think the time is right and not have to worry that the club will be in good hands"

Kenny - "thanks mate"

:wenger:

Doo-fecking-lally.

If I was a Liverpool fan I'd be peeved with his dodging of every single serious question with a sarcastic remark every week.

At some point you want some honesty from the manager. For example I don't like it when Fergie tries to mask a bad performance by blaming the referee.

Kudos to Kristian Walsh (he of 'Evra has made four false accusations before' fame) for bringing Rafa back into their heads just before an abysmal result to Stoke.

You can sense the comedy/delusion/poetry levels are about to be cranked up a gear.

Totally. As the wheels fall off Kenny's first full season in charge, the yearning for Rafa will increase and the calls for his return will grow louder.

If only William Hill were giving odds on it, you could guarantee yourself some easy money.
