Rashford considering his future...

I think you forgot that he was poor last season.

To mitigate that though he was playing through injury for most of the campaign and still managed to score 21 goals in all competitions. His form dipped from the previous year but to some extent that was understandable with him needing surgery, I find this season much more concerning. He has taken time off, had the surgery he needed and took the time to rehab properly so is fully fit for the first time in 18 months and he looks like he has completely forgotten how to play and is also showing significantly less intensity on the pitch.

I think the criticism of Rashford on the Caf doesn't fully go into the particular circumstances of the player. He was injured for much of last season and the one before. This year is the first time where he's been fit but genuinely been playing poorly.

I don't fully understand why so many are dead set on wanting him sold, or saying he was never that good to begin with. In years past I think fans would've been more willing to give someone time.

I hope it's just an overreaction given his relative high status at the club, rather than something more insidious.

His body language speaks a lot. He doesn't seem interested in playing at all. It appears that he is slowly moving into those Lingard like players bracket where they think that they have made it and now can't be arsed to put in a shift.

Horrific decision making, workrates and add to that, his PR team doing everything possible to show that its not his fault. He is a spoilt child right now.

Too much too soon for him. 200k pw and the starboy tag. Excellent work off the pitch but regressed heavily as a footballer.

He seriously doesn’t take any of this PR shit does he! Suggesting he wants to get him back in good form but if he doesn’t want to make the effort then he can go.

“You wanna go? Fine, feck off and don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out!”

Is he really wearing a necklace with his nickname on it ? Who the feck does such thing ?

Young guys with money. I’m sure you’d wear some tacky stuff too on that money.

A fat sovereign and a couple tacky tattoos

Exactly. That's the thing that pisses me off the most. If you could see he was 'trying' then I could let it go a bit but he just doesn't seem to care at all

The PR team may be trying to show it's not his fault but nobody seems to be buying it - not just United fans but England seem to think he is not exactly a key player

These players can moan about wrong systems or whatever but nothing justifies their seemingly poor attitude

I got your point. English players are expensive. The problem is in this market you can get more value for your money recruiting foreign players like Guimaraes and Odegaard for £30m.

Completely agree, but we spent £80m on Maguire when at the time there were better players on the continent for half the price. If Rashford was put up for sale, just opinion but I think there would be a few Few English clubs would spend £50m+ on him, not saying that is value but especially in todays football, sadly not just buying a footballer, marketing dream

I liek Ragnick, basically if you dont want to be here, go when the window is open. This is th estance should have bee taken with Pogba 2/3years ago then we wouldnt be losingi him for nothing and three years of medicrity, how has that been worth £60m+ on top of his wages since.

Old saying of nobody is bigger than the club. With the possibl exception of Greenwood before all his misdemeanours come to light, isnt a single player here who shouldnt be embarrased asking for more games or a better salary or new contract

I think if we sell him for around £50m, then that would be a good thing for us. I've never really rated him highly and think we could potentially improve much more as a collective unit with the proceeds from a transfer.

Love Ralf and his candid way of talking.

So open and matter of fact. I hope he's technical director next season.

Thats Rashford out the door. He will sulk the rest of the season and leave in the summer.

What club is paying 50m for a badly out of form Rashford?

This guy  absolutely love him, absolute breath of fresh air not pandering to anyone

West Ham were widely reported have had a £50m bid rejected for Kalvin Phillips from Leeds. I'm expecting United to at least receive a offer of £50m if he's put up for sale. PSG have also been rumoured to be interested.

Was curious to see the energy shift if it was no longer easy targets like Lingard or Henderson. Ralf earns full marks here. Suggesting he hasn't played enough is a real slap on the face, almost insulting to Ralf. It's like his people were asleep when he was pissing away his chances. When he got here Rash was the second striker in his 4222. If he (and Ronaldo) weren't so gash Ralf might have been able to stick to his preferred tactics for a while longer.

I think he just wants to get picked for the WC but the timing lines up with his terrible on pitch decisonmaking. All of these players have been extensively backed and have "earned" their way out of the starting XI. Imagine having no competition and still getting benched then complaining instead of hiding your head in shame.

I do not accept this circumstances of injury etc now for not making any attempt. Yes if he tries but still things are not coming off then it is a different story. He is not even arsed to stop the ball going by him. Look at him against City? He just stood there without moving 10 feet when all those things happened. Even Lingard who was the furthest player forward ran past a standing Rashford to help the defence.
He can simply feck off to where he wants to.
Good show Ralf.

This./

We’re playing that erratically it’s truly damning if you can’t get into this side.

Rangnick's candour is to be applauded.

After this shitshow of a season, most of the current crop of players should absolutely be 'considering their future' at this football club. And if they are not, it should be being considered for them

In particular the ‘less intensity’ comment. It’s becoming tiresome hearing the ‘not trying’ tag line. He’s playing poorly & looks devoid of confidence but played with his arm hanging off for much of last year; he’s shown his commitment to the club. Playing badly needs to stop being misconstrued as actively not trying. We’ve a captain who is actively playing against us weekly to worry about before anything else.

A six year contract and a £50m transfer fee for Kelvin Phillips on roughly his current salary would be around £65m. A six year contract and £50m transfer fee for Rashford on his current salary would be around £125m.

Not only that but Rashford's wages prevent 90% of clubs that could afford a £50m transfer fee, such as West Ham, from buying him due to being unable to break their wage structure (so even if they could afford a £125m package they couldn't deal with the consequences on the rest of their squad). Kelvin Phillips on the other hand even at a £50m pricetag would be attractive to a few dozen clubs.

Rashford on the other hand could literally only be bought by nine teams; five of these would never be interested.and one of them currently has their bank account frozen.

Transfer fees are irrelevant when not taking wages into consideration.

PSG won't have a problem with that. And we also have to remember that Rashford is a attacker and will have a higher value than Phillips.

Translation : "He looks like a shite player to me but he can't leave because obviously no transfer is available. Now play or I will replace you with upcoming youth players."
There's no room for sentimentality. Ralf is obviously not perfect but I love it.

A person who think he is a big baller shit. Do you see Ronaldo or Messi doing this crap ? Two of the goats in the game. If anyone deserve to wear a necklace with their own name its them

I hope he makes up his mind quickly and not be like Dithering Dave.
